Q1 ends and a little update on my projects

We are approaching the end of the first quarter of 2023, and I would like to update on my RPG projects in development.

  • XY’AN was as you know cancelled after the first month of work. Unfortunately, the boredom I felt in writing it weighed in no small part on this decision. I had hoped to present a nice themed citycrawl for Plerion, but once again adventure writing proved to be insufferable for me.
  • Golden Idol has been officially released today! I am really happy to have completed this Cairn hack of action and adventure. As for science fiction, this is a genre I really like. I hope it will be fun for you as well.
  • It is likely that I will not write Knossos. The enthusiasms have died down, I continue to have difficulty writing adventures, and Thálassa is a very poor feedback game, about which I really don’t know what the approval is. Project postponed indefinitely.

Now some unforeseen accidents on the way!

  • I didn’t think at all about revising or expanding Loner, but here I am innocent! The game’s small Italian community demanded my attention, and the second edition is the fruit of their interactions. Soon I will review the Adventure Packs available on the website and proceed to layout them for a final print version, under the not-so-original name of Loner Complete. For now you can find the free core rules in PDF and on Amazon for $7.
  • This week I released a supplement for Liminal Horror to play the SCP Foundation lore. I discovered SCP recently and was totally won over by it. Liminal Horror seemed like the perfect framework for me to play it. You can find SCP for Liminal Horror HERE.
  • I have a draft of a game I have been wanting to write for a long time, designed to emulate the Anime Slice of Life genre, pending. The game is titled SoLAR (Slice of Life Anime Realized) and is based on freeform tag and playing card mechanics. As soon as I have a playable draft I will make it available!
    • some conversations I had in my circles prompted me to rough out Sol: Beyond Earth, a hard science fiction game set in an alternate retrofuture in which the space race never suffered the setback of our timeline and developed 1970s ideas about space colonization. I hope to have it out by Q2 2023.

Let me know what you think!
