REC/REW dev update 8 - a change in plan

... More like, a change in priorities. Just either grab today's release or play it in your browser, and have a look at the concept I'm currently working on.

'Cause one of my experiments went much better than I expected. Here, have a look at this:

... Okay, it's not as stunning as something coming out of the pen of a professionist, I'll grant you that. No, I don't expect TypeMoon or Key or whatever to hire me any time soon.

Not as an illustrator at least =P

Still, we're moving from a set of random placeholders stunned into "hyeratic" poses (worth a hieroglyph out of some ancient Egyptian tomb) to a much more "dynamic" scene. We've got a bunch of friends chatting around a table, food and stuff 'round the table as they roleplay... now that reminds me of the old times back when I was playing Cyberpunk 2022 and - whops, I digress. As usual.

Plus, that's stuff has been made by me. Me and no-one else. Hell yeah the one-man army strikes again! Guaranteed 100% natural! No additives, no preservatives. From farm to fork! And making it really was a hell of a fun!

So, what's the "change in plan" I was talking about? Well, here it goes: starting from today, bringing REC/REW up to the next new level (graphically speaking) takes top priority. The above concept will be applied to other parts of this Visual Novel, making it more... immersive? Pretty? Funny?

Once I'm done I expect REC/REW to become... bulkier. That's why step #2 will be, crafting an optimized (well, sort of) web version. Guess you know what I'm talking about: smaller resolution, webp instead of png, that sort of stuff.

Chapter M2 has been officially moved to step #3. The good of working alone is, I can be pretty elastic with planning and schedules =P!

ps. Look out for the small content addition included in this last update! A few scenes were added to the part where the MC roleplays with his friends and... well, have a look at it. The moment that idea entered my mind I had one of those "wow" moments, and I knew I had to put it into the game, no matter what!
