Hey everyone,
We wanted to give you a quick update on where development currently stands and what our plans are moving forward.
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who continues to support the project. Your support allows us to keep pushing forward and creating the game we've envisioned from the start. While progress may sometimes seem slow from the outside, there's been a lot happening behind the scenes.
Our current programming efforts are focused on completing the remaining Chapter 2 content, including:
Our goal with this update is to further expand player choice while improving both the combat and mini game systems.
On the art side, our primary focus is currently Chapter 3.
A large portion of that work is centered around the Nami Mini Game, which has grown significantly in scope compared to some of our previous content.
Current plans include:
This has become one of the largest pieces of content we've worked on so far, and it's a major reason Chapter 3's development has taken longer than originally anticipated.
Once Chapter 3 is completed and released, we plan to reevaluate how we deliver content.
One thing we've learned throughout development is that creating large updates with multiple systems, scenes, story events, and mechanics often results in long gaps between releases. While we love creating larger content drops, we also understand that many of you would prefer seeing progress arrive more regularly.
Because of that, we're exploring a simpler and more streamlined update structure after Chapter 3.
Our optimistic goal is for future content updates to consist of:
By reducing the scope of individual updates, we hope to create a more sustainable workflow that allows us to release content more consistently while continuing development on larger features and story content in the background.
That said, we want to be transparent and set realistic expectations. This is currently an optimistic target and not a guaranteed monthly schedule. Development timelines can change depending on the complexity of the artwork, programming requirements, real-life obligations, and unforeseen challenges that arise during production.
Our intention is not to make promises we can't keep, but rather to move toward a development model that is healthier for the team and provides more regular content for our supporters.
We know Chapter 3 has taken longer than expected, and we greatly appreciate everyone's patience throughout the process.
Your support continues to make this project possible, and we're excited about what's coming next. We'll continue sharing updates as we make progress on both Chapter 2 Update 4 and Chapter 3.
Thank you for sticking with us and supporting the project. We look forward to showing you more soon!
