“The Things That Go Unsaid” is a short story about what lies hidden behind a friendly smile. An exchange student tries to end his stay with one last get-together with friends, but the night brings to the surface a past conflict that no one wants to acknowledge.
A short, unsettling, and emotionally ambiguous read, where what remains unsaid weighs more heavily than any words. With restrained prose and a gradually thickening atmosphere, the story moves toward an ending that reinterprets the entire narrative.
