Took me a while to figure out how to get the game update correctly. That being said have played a good chunk of .7 and loving everything so far. Still one of if not THE best game on here as far as story and visuals go. My one complaint is dahlias now grayed out for me and can't click on her in the hearts screen. I loaded a save in which I followed the walk-through so don't think I missed anything. Hoping it's just a bug that can be fixed but if not I'll just play the game over again before the next update comes out. Thanks again!

Done everything by instructions but saves dont work anymore, was willing to start over but the game crashes, tried to uninstall and start from fresh with the new one, but it cant even install the new version at all. I tried everything. I had all the files in the right locations its just not working. Played once in a lifetime and it was amazing wanted to play this one too but every game that changes to zip instead of apk never works, just another game i have to drop
Sorry to hear that... Maybe you'll have a PC in a few years and can play it on there! The game won't get finished anytime soon anyway, maybe you can play it in its entirety then!

Im married and i play these games less for the lewd and more for the fun, my husband works all day and im disabled so its just nice to get the romance i just like the spicy versions. But my husband doesnt like this sort of games so i just play them on my phone when hes got long shifts, or when im stuck waiting for doctors since the lewd scenes arent the majority of the game i can even play these in public it helps that its obvious when lewds are coming. Was really looking forward to seeing the story but maybe by the time its finished.

First off sorry for the late reply had dr visits and physical therapy so i wasnt eble to check here for a while. thank you for the guide it ended up helping in a funny way, so the reason i gave up so quickly is because i actually went to college for interactive digital media i figured i at least remembered enough to be able to move a file, turns out i did but i forgot one simple thing that you mentioned in your guide. Check the file size mine was 3 gigs flat, it was corrupt just barely. I tried redownloading (still had some issues probably because my internets not great but it got 3.5gb after 3 tries) and it worked! I cant believe i forgot the most simple thing of just making sure it downloaded properly, i lost my saves as i had already deleted the app but i speed skiped to where i left off so thanks again. Hopefully your guide helps others and ill be coming back to it for updates just to get the app you used and archive my saves.
Try different saves! Especially ones you made right after major scene transitions. Some saves should still work, I'm sure. It's just annoying that you have to restart the game every time you fail to load one...

So you want to start over instead? If you want to do that, you also have to reset your app in your device settings in addition to deleting the save files.
I don't want to start over but I don't understand what other way I would load an older save because I only have 1 main save and other save files are just auto saves
This change has to happen sooner or later because of Android's limitations. Other games do this as well! I don't think a lot of people have problems with it but if they do have problems, it's probably on Android because 1. The installation is more complicated than on PC and 2. On average, Android users are less tech savvy than PC users.
Someone should do a video tutorial on how to install Eternum on Android, I think that'll help a lot.

Joiplay is an emulator and can indeed push your device to its limits if you don't have great hardware. The normal Android version of the game should have better performance!

Sorry but you're still being too vague and I can't reproduce the problem you encountered on my end. I can't help you if no further information is given. Perhaps you downloaded the English android version and thought it was the Chinese version?
The one I downloaded is not an English version and there is no English version yet, there is only a Chinese version and the zip file, I can still play it when it was 0.6 but the new update is no longer working But when I tried the zip, it worked, but my cp was getting high occupied so it auto exited the game, in other words, it was overhit and the android I'm using can't handle it.

Ok, your save files should be in the "Android/data/Eternum" directory, make a backup of them somewhere else, just in case.
Then install the new version according to its instructions. Then copy your savefiles into the "documents/Ixalon/com.caribdis.eternum" directory ("NOT into the "game" folder"!) That should do it.

Please someone help, i swear when i downloaded this game there were 2 options for android one was a simplified apk and one a zip, i could never get the zip to work but the simplified worked. Now the update only has the zip, i did everything as it said in the instructions but now my game wont open it keeps saying i need the archive rpa but i have it, its in the right folder and everything. Will the simple apk come out later? Can i still use my saves? I need help because without a simple apk ill just have to stop playing
Sorry my friend, but this had to happen sooner or later. The game grows bigger and Android can't handle too large applications. Try again, make sure you spelled all directories right, and the rpa needs to be in a folder called "game", NOT "game directory".
Tanxui is actually right. I followed their instructions and found now im able to play. Finding the "game" file to move the "rpa" into is the only hassle. But I'm sure you will soon enough find the correct way to move the rpa. This message wasn't too helpful but I wanted to thank tunxui for the assist.
If you have saves, make a backup. Then delete all Eternum files , directories and the app and try to install it again from the beginning. Maybe you made a mistake somewhere the first time.
Which version are you using? On the old Android versions, your saves should be in Android/data/Eternum. You need to transfer them into the "com.caribdis.eternum" folder of the new version after you installed the new version.

You can't skip ahead by default, nope. There are tricks you can do but you should consider replaying the game from the start, it's very replayable!

You don't need the old version, just download and install the new one

If your device can't handle zip files by default, you need a separate app, like ZArchiver, to extract the contents.

Backing up means that you make a copy of the files that you then put somewhere else on your device.
