I greatly enjoyed, but I did notice a couple of things. Was just the regular demo, so it might be fixed in the spicy version?
1. Sometimes while running through the orc village the orc disguise would randomly disappear.
2. I also tried to go back and replay that level to see if I could find a way to rescue the half-orc (I assume it's not possible in the demo), but it didn't reset anything. I go down to the cells and Priscilla is not there and I'm unable to trigger the dialogue. When I go upstairs, it's not raining so I can't leave. I had to close the game and start a new save slot, playing the game from the beginning, before I could progress.
3. I felt that the dialogue initiation was too sensitive? If I was too close to something, even if I had finished the dialogue, it would start back up again unless I walked away while the dialogue was going. Then I had to continue through the dialogue to the end. It would also initiate when pressing 'c', which meant I couldn't be running away from the dialogue, and I was almost always running.
4. Sometimes when pressing x to advance the dialogue, it would load the rest of the dialogue available so I could read it without waiting for it to load. Sometimes though, it would move on to the next piece before the entire section had loaded, so I didn't get a chance to read it.
5. There were a few typos during the cave scene with the Glithe.
'studder' should be stutter or shudder, either could work, though I would personally go with 'shudder', since stutter is most often used when speaking.
bound is the past tense form of bind rather than binded
tention is spelled tension
'enter me force' should either say 'enter me by force' or 'enter me forcefully'
sence should be spelled sense
the phrase it's tentacles should be its tentacles, because its is the possessive form and it's is a contraction of it is
I think there were other typos, but I'd have to play through it again, possibly multiple times, to catch them all.
Outside of these bugs, it was very good. The characters felt well developed and realistic, the puzzles were at about the right difficulty for me, and I never felt too lost. Hopefully I'll get myself a job soon so I can afford the extra cost for the spicy version. T_T
Played through the entire game and had a good time. Agree with some of the other commenters that there is some jank, tho.
On the combat side, two things irked me a bit
1 -> You’re taught to mash melee but that, most of the time, leaves you open to be counterattacked because you can’t cancel an attack animation into a block. This makes things a bit frustrating in the sense that you’re always trying to guess when you can attack? By the end of the playthrough (0.4.2) I was mostly parrying and then countering with spells so it was less of an issue, but did feel like it was the only “correct” way to engage combat because of this
2 -> I also had a surprisingly hard time getting Luccia to actually trigger the charged heavy attack. Not sure why, it felt quite finicky, but it is very useful
Other than that having to go through the mushroom fights again to revisit the orc village was a bit annoying too. I know we’ll have extra content there later so a shortcut straight to the village would be handy. And the dog sections didn’t control too well? On the platforming side, I think two things could improve the feel
1-> You’re only allowed to air-dash if you’re in the upwards half of your jump, this makes it a bit tricky to reach some areas. The end of the first (?) castle room got me a cheap death like this. I ended up in a platform way up high, it had the level ending arrow so I jumped off… except that led me straight into a pit I couldn’t see. That did not feel good, not gonna lie =P
2-> He could use a bit of “coyote jump” timing. Dog also moves weirdly slow in both his sections too
Finally in more general terms, the font on the inventory felt a bit hard to read so I’d consider tweaking that once inventory becomes important. Having the dash button/key ALSO trigger interactions can be pretty annoying when you are, for example, trying to leave the vicinity of the Half-Orc’s prison cell
My final interaction with the game was checking the gallery. I chose the discarded Hundswold scene and actually got locked in it as no buttons had any effect, needed to force close the application. LOL
I ran into a bug where I THINK what I did was dash away from (while?) interacting with the lever that opens the castle gate. This seemed to lock out my buttons
But yeah, all of those, imo, are regular growing pains and mostly minor stuff. This is a solid core and I’m excited to see what’s coming next

trying to launch the hotfix version i paid for and i keep getting an execution cannot proccess error says mvscp140.dll is missing reinstalling may fix. reinstalled twice still the same. any help is appreciated
In one of the platforming missions, right after speaking to the cat paladin, I hit the save but accidentally fell off the platform and now I am stuck in an infinite loop of reloading into instant fail because I for some reason am not respawning at the checkpoint?
I've also noticed that the game does not save at the start of missions, which it should. It feels strange to fail a mission only to restart near the end of the last one...

Poise Gauge is similar to MP, Mana, or Stamina. Its needed to use abilities or magic, regens slowly over time, and if you run out, you get staggered and cant move.

I like the game, but the battles drive me to despair. I don't do well against the orc boss and have died several times. My interest in the game is done with it, maybe later when the combat system has been improved, but let's see what the future brings.
As intriguing as this game is, the battle system is so clunky and unintuitive on keyboard that it makes it almost impossible to play through the battle sequences. It's a struggle every time, and it doesn't help that I so frequently lose my save data and have to start over. I've only made it past the orc encampment once. As much as I really want to love this game, the keybinds for it simply don't let me.
So just finished the orc town area and was in the area with all the blood colored crystals. I examined the area to the top left of Priscilla and after some dialogue box that somehow glitched and gave me an empty text box that I couldn't clear and so was stuck there. Not a huge issue since I just saved, so restarted the game.
Slightly larger issue: I can't load the save file. It lets me select the file and select load, but when I get the prompt to load with the green X or Red C to cancel nothing happens. The game just refuses to load.
Looking at my file stats on the bottom right though something suggests to me that my progress wasn't really saving properly. It shows no money, no stars, and 0 playtime. Are there bugs with the save spots? It always said saved every time I interacted with them.
Playing on the latest Windows version with a MSI Vector GP76 laptop.

mvscp140.dll is supplied by your operating system.
Usually running Windows Update does it all, along with checking your drivers.
As a last resort, look up the missing DLL in google.

if you do the orc village level again you are stuck with the orc costume as you cant activate the rain agaim
you are not supposed to activate the rain again. Once you do the Orc quest, its not repeatable outside the gallery.

Its in Marley's room. But first, you need to grab the key in the Post 7 Basement.
