Hi I got the Mac full game but it does not work with macOS it says "application cannot be opened" and I have tried troubleshooting in many different ways
tried downloading on itchio too and it says "application can't be opened" so I followed the steps you provided but it says "no file or directory" on terminal
This error is generally due to one of two things: 1) anti-virus is blocking your game launch or installation; 2) an incorrect delivery of the game files by the Steam service.
Start by disabling your anti-virus software before updating/running the game.
If that doesn't work or you don't have anti-virus, please validate your files, by right clicking on the game title in the Library of the Steam client. Then pick: Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache.
Secondly, right click the game in your list and "delete local content". Then, reinstall your game, preferably to a different drive or folder if available. Please ensure you have enough local space to install and run your game.
If that doesn't help, please try:
1. Completely exit Steam.
2. Navigate to your Steam installation folder (~C:\Program Files\Steam)
3. Delete the 'appcache' folder.
4. Restart your computer and attempt to launch the game through Steam
I tried that as well and it did not work have you received any updated information because I have not had this happen with other games so not sure what the issue is from
Unsure where to go for bug reports, so posting here: I have a bug where the geomancy elective turns into calligraphy when the week progresses. It started happening around week 6 in game. It's not happening with any of the other electives as of now.
Same here. Specifically for me it was in week 7. The first two for that week were correct (Geomancy) but the second two were Calligraphy and it continued on to week 8 as well. EDIT: Heh, now I'm getting symbology thrown in as well when I didn't choose it.
Hello, I've been having a great time playing so far! I wanted to report that I ran into a problem with the class electives staying a black screen and not progressing once I get to week 12 during my second playthrough !
I'm having some problem with the windows download zip. I was unable to access my downloads folder after I downloaded the game file, and tried to fix the issue but couldn't. After messing around with this for a while I accessed the file through a search and was able to delete the zip and now my downloads folder is working again.
I know this will not apply to a lot of people but this was a mixed bag on the Steam Deck. At least it is native Linux so I don't gotta deal with Proton.
First off, the game only seems to support 16:9 aspect ratios judging by the available resolutions I had. Not a big deal but since the Deck is 16:10, there is some small black bars at the top and bottom. Slightly annoying but certainly not the first game I've dealt with it.
I know the game lacks controller support, I saw that in the supported inputs. I figured I can just look at the controls in the settings and just use a custom Steam Input layout. Unless I missed something obvious, I couldn't find a layout. Which made it much harder to set something up.
The game auto set the resolution to 960 x 540. Not an issue, I just set it to 1280 x 720... and now the text is tiny and barely on the text box. This seemed to resolve itself by switching the resolution back and forth a few times though.
The game itself runs just fine though. In the hour I played there was no significant bugs and I got the general impression it was pretty polished and a lot of care went into this. I 'm not here to bash the game, just some observations I made while playing on my Deck.

I think that it was meant to be a countdown to noon eastern time but was accidentally set to midnight since the steam version is set to noon, if I had to guess.

Actually the headmaster will be a future love interest as it was one of the 2 extra routes unlocked during the Kickstarter, but his route will be added post initial game launch
Interesting concept but not an original one. I didn't particularly like the art or the story. I found it very slow moving and there was nothing that really captured the interest of the reader. This game may suit someone looking for a relaxing, easygoing type of game. I prefer those with a richer, deeper story. Overall, it is not my cup of tea.

To be fair, this game is still a demo. It just makes sense that you would barely get past the beginning of the game, Hence why it seems boring to you. A valid opinion, but perhaps you might change your mind when the full game gets released :P
I don't think so. Like I stated, it isn't for me. I prefer games that draw me in from the beginning. This game did not appeal to me. I see a lot of people downvoted my review as well. How silly to downvote someone of a different opinion, simply for disliking the game! It had potential, but it needs a lot of work, this game. Anyway, to each their own.
It's totally okay if the game isn't for you! Games with stat raising tend to have a much different flow than traditional VNs, and lots of people aren't about that. But that's ok. Play what you like :)

It's been 3 months since the last Kickstarter update, but not gonna lie, I'd also love to see an itch.io update (since I'm not a Kickstarter backer and can't change that now) because it's been 7 months since the last one and I wanna know what's happening 😂 Or like a public Kickstarter update or anything, really 😂 I'm really excited about this game and the release date was supposed to be Q2 2023, but I'm not sure whether that's still the case, so I'd love to be a little more up to date with that as well 😊

I really love this Game, it is so well written and one of the best games I played. :) But there is one issue. So when I save my Game and close it completely, the next time I open it, my whole game progress is gone. Like, I can't click on continue, just on new Game. Is that normal? Because that's a bit annoying, since I cannot take a break without loosing my progress, so I always have to start a new game :(
that is definitely not normal. Are you saving using the save menu or are you using the Quick Save button? If it's the latter, try saving normally by pressing ESC to get to the save menu or using the pull down menu at the top
No, it only crahes once the Game is closed. I started a new game, saved immediately and Quick saved. I even returned to the title, but there everything was just fine and I could click 'continue'. But when I closed the Game and opened it again, everything was gone and I wasn't able to click 'continue'.

The specific error I'm getting is that it says, "this program can't open" or something like that, and you can only press okay; it doesn't let you see what's wrong with it. I also think it isn't a security issue because those can easily be solved in privacy and security settings.
"I usually have to drag the downloaded app into "Applications," then control+click the icon. It'll say it doesn't trust the origin of the file, but there should be an 'open' option anyways. It might take a couple tries to get it to show, but it's always worked for me so long as it's in "Applications" and not "Downloads.""
If that doesn't work, try installing the itchio app and download the demo through that.
Any chance theyll be a option to custom a bit more say changing name and/or masculine/pronouns or male character once the game is fully out? i would adore this if it was added into the game
It's not currently on the roadmap for initial release as the game was originally designed as an otome with a female protagonist. This is something we are definitely going to include in future works, however, as it's been requested quite a bit :)
Hey so i love thsi game, had been on my library for quiet a long time but apparently i never get the backgrounds, like only cgs are shown but rest backgrounds dont show up- what shud i do?
Based on others that have experienced this issue, it's a video driver issue. Try updating your graphics card driver and see if that fixes the issue. Please let me know!

I'm getting events with the necklace in week 9 even though I chose not to touch it earlier in the run.
This has been fixed and will be updated with the new patch. I'll make an announcement when it's ready for download!

I can't seem to do anything at the ending screen. It just stays on the background after the "What Do I Want to Do?" text appears

Its something about the file. I never even unzipped it, but just it sitting in my downloads made me unable to access the whole downloads folder.
Can you try downloading it to a different folder and see if the same issue occurs?

1. Move the application to your Applications folder.
2. Open Terminal.
3. Paste
sudo chmod +x /Applications/RadiantsDemov2.1_Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/The\ Radiants\ Alpha\ Build
then press Return/Enter.
4. Enter your password when prompted and press Return again.
5. Open the Radiants application.

No, I'm always using the pull down menu at the top to save

do you see your saved games in the load screen when you are already in the game? (as in, do their screenshots appear on the screen)
Also, check and see if the game is creating save files for you. It should be under the main game folder then Build_Data>NaninovelData>Saves
