One of the funniest. Just stacking infinite armor + spikes.
NOTE: need some potions to avoid dmg from curses.

You should probably switch the shiv next to the cleansing rag to the space under the mirror shield and move the cleansing rag down one space. Also, the conductor isn't doing anything useful as far as I can tell.

My Best run so far,  reaching floor 15 and doing 2k damage in a single burst turn. However no sustainable way to replenish my mana and ended up dying to the boss.

nerf posion arrow with full space and composite bow

Hey so I don't know if this is a bug or intended feature or unintended future but when the bat attacks you and you have dodge you don't take damage but he just heals

I believe vampyrism works like other status ailments such as poison, where even if dodged the status is still applied causing them to heal for the damage they should've done.

Can't believe DF played this game AFTER I played it

(1 edit)

Well that's definitely OP. +12 damage each turn for 4 free weapons.

And 95 damage for 0 energy.

didnt get as built as i would have liked but got me where i needed

Really nice Build until I encounter Double Bat. Until this Point i could handle one Bat without Problems, but two are to poisonous xD

So just another round before it gets dark outside :p - too addicting^^

I find this incredibly fun, and also frustrating. I feel like I had a pretty good build, and then I run into 1 enemy that does 15+ poison damage to me every other turn, which seems a bit OP, especially when the opponent has 900+ health. Since only 1 poison falls off each turn, the 2nd time they poison me, I'm at nearly 30 poison damage per turn. This is on endless though, which is supposed to be hard. But it's a little too hard imo, I don't see a way to beat that 1 mob (that's not even a boss), unless I'm carrying around a bunch of status cleanse items, but if I were, I still wouldn't kill it because I wouldn't be doing enough damage. Well, time for a new run! Can't wait for this game to be completely finished!

Make it download able for windows and also make it 32bit ( if possible )

You can download the itch app launcher, which launches the game in its own engine. Runs much smoother than in a browser!

So   I was resetting on floor 16 to get a 10th energy and now my save file is corrupted. Is there any way to fix this?

This is took me a long time to make

Is it just me or was the Salamander way overtuned in this patch. 14 attack AND curse every turn is back breaking

Berserker's club is great for healing, but I got unlucky with relics and smiths, 1 smith so far for haste. It's taking forever to progress. I just need a weaponsmith. I've also been looking for the item that gives haste when you take damage, no luck so far.

Seen we're sharing our pickaxe builds

Warrior's Spellbook OP

cant wait to buy this on steam, take my money

auto 999 armor + fishAuto 999 armor +fish :)

On mobile so it's janky (map showing an minions on left). I also had another fish sword earlier in the run.

I've experienced the dead save several times recently (seems like you can load a game a certain amount of times from save scumming only so many time (10?)). This one is new and has a neat effect that none of the other ones had.

Finally made a personal record of floor 22...turns out the berserker club isn't good...it's REALLY good

PogPick

plz dev a mobile version or mobile support

you can play it here same as usual on mobile. I've done it before and the only downside is the general smallness, you do have turn on rotation in the options though.

I did it. I successfully used the pickaxe.

I love the symmetry

I found a bug.

Spike scale doesn't give spikes when it's adjacent to a shield unless you have another item in your inventory that also adds spikes, like a rose.

You have to use the shield to get spikes.

Bomb with ethereal weapons is straight up nutty. End boss didn't even get to attack me once before he died. Each arrow was doing 50-80 damage each and I had enough mana to fire 3 or more times per turn with consumables to help me get up to even higher numbers if needed. I never considered how good mugs (or other one use weapons) are with bomb as well!

I've been trying to get an ethereal sword + bomb run going but have not seen the staff on about 20 tries. I think the numbers need to be tuned a bit to make this game more fun as it is a really, really low % chance to get any non standard run going.

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to choose out of more relics for bosses or merchants, so you could get more interesting items or relics, instead of only three options. I get that it's for balance so that you wouldn't just choose the OP relics every time, but three choices is just not enough.

That moment when you realize that the common brutal spear is stronger in your setup than all the legendary weapons you've found...

Id suggest adding more ways to heal. I always have a pretty good build, feeling good. Then im forced to fight something that gives curses and I die from poison. (I am relatively new so maybe im doing something wrong)

(1 edit)

there are actually a lot of ways to heal or avoid/minimize damage...trouble is finding them...or finding the right combos to use them.  I mean, with my 1 healing whetstone I can easily heal 100+ per turn from turn 3 onwards in my current setup.

I feel, personally, that damage scaling is the bigger factor.  I'd love to see some more of that.  More ways to get rage maybe, more smithys definitely...that kind of thing...

Any tips for this rn. I'm struggling.

The spices accessory is ok on occasion but you definitely don't need 3 or to keep them long term. The health rings are trash items, opt to get health max from the priests and fountains instead. With the extra space, go for more damage scaling accessories or weapons, or energy boosts.

same as what umchyoka said...except for 1 thing.  if you're looking to go more towards a consumables build, then keeping the seasonings might still be worth...but it looks like you're in a more mage position so searching for a tome, a rage ring, a broken armor ring, and maybe a regen wand and skull wand would probably be what I would aim more for.

Either way, start replacing those health rings asap...they can be a helpful boost at early floors, but seeing as you're now at floor 13 they're practically useless...

fun build, sadly died next fight because 999 shield doesn't matter in area 3

my first ever won run, it's a single wand build with damage scaling from mana, and lightning bolt for area of effect damage. Got the wand up to I think 200 damage on the king fight because the lightning bolt was unfortunately scaling him faster than I could scale myself to his damage lol.

Finally got wand build to work. If I had had frog totem or wizard hat it would have been way better.

Very fun little game. Stumbled into a Pickaxe build - gets stronger with every turn of combat. But I seem to have run into a bug with the inventory expansion - there's one slot missing in the middle of the bottom row.

It's so laggy with lots of manastones.

My record run... floor 15

Suggestion: Make Scratch bypass armor so you wouldn't get softlocked by a enemy that blocks every turn(armadillos) and you would actually have a reason to use scratch

Making a full scratch build would be awesome, I think the pacifist ring doesn't proc and destroy itself with it?

I think not. Idk because I've never tried. A new item was added called glove of knives and it deals 2 damage to all when you scratch, would be nice if it was buffed because rn it's really underwhelming.

Would love to see More Scratch based weapons to make a Monk Build where you don't actually have weapons, just stuff and armor in your bag.

Yeah! I've tried a run where you can't use weapons after boss 1, but if you get bad rng it's literally impossible.

I love this game and I think the devs are doing a wonderful job. I'm just sad I lost my saves due to random glitches a few times now.

Suggestion: Make the Lighting Bolt use itself at the end of your turn instead of at the beginning. In its current state, the lighting item is unable to benefit from any temporary bonuses that last for a single turn (Belt of Knives, Wheel, etc.), as the item only gets used at the start of your next turn, by which point said buffs would have long since gone away.

I know this change isn't really all that necessary per se. I just think changing the ordering to make buffing the lighting bolt's damage a bit easier could potentially make it more viable and easier to use in an actual build.

EDIT: I know there are still a plethora of ways to buff lighting's damage in various ways. I just think it'd be nice to make it affected by more types of things just to make the big numbers even bigger. :)

Just for kicks, I tested the first enemy and just blocked. His attack and block kept going up every turn. Is it normal for enemy damage/block to increase every turn if the combat goes on long? Here's the tutorial ratwolf after about half a dozen turns of just blocking.

I think the damage ramping does happen for every enemy.

Yeah, enemies gradually ramp up in strength if you take too long to kill them (possibly to stop you from endlessly farming free items from reorganizing).

There have been some past issues where people have been essentially softlocked by a certain toad mage in the deep caves who heals all enemies every single turn as well as either shielding themselves or occasionally attacking you. Since healing numbers used to scale over time like with block and damage (IDK whether they changed it or not), players unable to kill the mage before it ramped up would be in a very bad position without some sort of damage scaling. At that point, the only way out is by either dying, throwing the run or refreshing the page.

However, one thing to note is that passive scaling sources, whether it be archangel armor's haste application or stopwatch's damage scaling are almost always able to outspeed natural turn-based scaling by a fair margin (assuming you actually know what you're doing), as long as the enemy can't poison you. As anyone who has tried to tank snake poison on endless mode has known firsthand, once the poison numbers exceed your maximum HP, you're just dead. :)

mi mejor partida hasta el momento , los duct tape fueron el 99% de mi fuerza , muy buen juego
