Oh my goodness, the boss fight is so much tougher than the rest of it. Still, I persevered and made it to the end with all the books. I'm impressed at how much high-quality game you managed to cram into a Pico-8 format. I was briefly confused at the point where you have to jump up through a platform to a lever; I somehow didn't realize I could jump through it at first.
It's nice to see that Snail-chan is still having magical adventures!
I'm glad people are still playing it, and it's making me want to fix some things. I'll try to make some of the levels a little more manageable. Thanks for playing!
Aw, I was enjoying the game but then I got to a boss and the camera kept stalling, those 2-hit enemies kept spawning and I run out of stars to shoot too quickly.
You can only knock back the cat. I might still change some stuff if I get the time since I don't want it to be superrrr difficult. Thanks for playin the game :)

I like it a lot but the falling stars are distracting.
Does the star tally for each level mean anything?

I did manage to finish it and read all the diary entries. Can you defeat the cat or just knock it back?

Knocking back the cat is perfectly fine, I was just curious.
What about the stars?
I might make the falling stars a different color so they blend into the background more.
Oh, and the star count at the level end is just like a high score thing if you want to try and end with as many stars as you can.
