BOMBASTIC 2: SIDE EYE

😊👍

Quite literally

Is OST available separately anyplace?

Good idea and fun game.

This was tons of fun to play through! I especially enjoyed how the open design of the levels allowed for various possible solutions, usually a more straightforward puzzle solving solution vs just running around blowing things up and tricky platforming to make it work.

I did get slightly annoyed by some of the ice placement, mostly while I was trying to puzzle out a solution and not focusing on platforming. I also kept forgetting the cannons would kill me, and once on level 29 the cannon on the bottom right seemed to kill me through the wall (and skipped the portal, the portal might have messed up the damage hitbox?).

This is such a fun game! I LOVE the art and soundtrack Keep up the good work ^-^

Do you intend to publish on Steam?

Not this project unfortunately. I am currently working on a new project which is in development and that will likely be published to Steam. You can follow the progress on my twitter: https://twitter.com/jamie_noware

really nice visuals and responsive controllers! Very polished. Nice!

Cheers, means a lot!

Hey I just played the game a few months ago and it was super fun. I want to play it again but I switched to linux recently. any chance for a linux port some time? keep up the good work by the way :)

Hi, thanks a lot! Really appreciate your comments :) unfortunately I don't have access to a linux system so can't use it as a remote builder to build versions of the game that aren't mac or PC :(  Hopefully I'll get access to one soon, and then you'll be the first to know! Stay tuned, as I'm currently working on a new project with a much bigger scope! There will be news/updates on this soon. Cheers

Maybe you can create a Linux VM.

Try using a vm, or if your computer isn't powerful enough, a free shell host. Watch out though, many shell hosts run unix. I currently have an account at insomnia247.nl, which is a Debian server, although you need to get an invite code first. Join the #shells on the irc server (click the 'Chat' link on the homepage for a webchat) to ask for one. The owner usually responds quite quickly, but if they are away and you need to disconnect just say so, and check back later. The Insomnia247 irc server has a message scrollback, so unless there has been a lot of messages (which doesn't happen often) you should be able to see the owner's reply. Also, don't ignore bots if/when they reply, and follow any instructions in their messages. (A suprising number of people seem to be unable to read in a text based chat.)

What game engine do you use?

All done in GameMaker Studio 2.

Thanks :D

Super Awesome, super fun. The feel of this game reminds of namco games. something I love. check it out

Thanks so much for making a video. Glad you guys had fun playing :)

Love the game. Will be playing a part 2. I want this game to succeed.

Mc rat

Very nice little game! I really like the main mechanic, it allows for some interesting puzzles.

There was one particular room that was tougher to figure out for me than any others. It was Level 19. I still think i didn't beat it in the intended way. I left the stage with 2 cannons still unused. Oh well, I beat it anyways.

I'm looking forward to the full release

Very Cool 4/5 !

EDIT: I didn't put 5 stars because of the menu, try to polish it, for the rest, very good game!

No problem! There will be a full version out this year, with lots of improvements and additions, so stay tuned :)
