I just downloaded the newest version and have come across some problems. When I have it open on just the bottom of the screen the right side of my screen is inaccessible to me. I try to click on a different window but it acts like I have the game menu open. There are some items I can't and I also can't change which of my monitors it plays on.
Hello AshePendragon, thanks for rizing this issue, in fact in doesn’t happen all the time but I manage to reproduce, I’m working on fixing this.
Game positon
The time being, you can still proceed has follows to fix temporarily the issue :
unlock the windows bar by right clicking on the windows bar like this:
then change the size of the bar and change it back, like this:
Change screen
The configuration to change screen didn’t seems to work very well, I disable it for now. But windows let you it very easely by pressing: ⊞ Win + ⇧ Shift + → right arrow or ⊞ Win + ⇧ Shift + ← left arrow.
So after my dino hatched it was dead within around 15 minutes even when I bought food. Now I have to wait for a long time to get enough money to buy eggs.
Maybe not have them die so fast Lower the egg cost to buy eggs faster OR give a free egg if you last dinosaur dies. Otherwise it's static pixel plant simulator.
I love my lil dinosaurs, they keep me company and are super cute! Just an observation, the dinosaurs freeze and cannot move when launched from the itchio desktop app. Launching directly from the file location has no issues. Weird!

I have noticed an issue in Word (not sure if it's in other programs or not) when I try to click on something that would give a pop-out menu (clicking or right-clicking for a spelling suggestion, for instance) the menu frequently won't appear. Right-clicking in general is spotty in Word with Desktop Dinosuars running. Not sure if it's a known issue, but I wanted to mention it. It's a relatively small thing compared to how happy this program makes me. Thanks for making it!

Quick question! Do each of the plant sizes give the same amount of food per coin spent on them, or are certain sizes a better "deal," giving you more food per coin?

She has an Intel HD Graphics 3000, with the same driver version - 9.17.10.4459 - as the person in the comments, and is also running Win10 64-bit.

Nevertheless in the new version shaders used to render Dinosaurs has been changed, it may be corrected.
Spent a lot of time making them a nice home. My Son likes to sit at my desktop and watch them. He's excited for the updates so he can have a Tyrannosaurus.
He's 3 but he'll be turning 4 in February. I accidentally left it on and killed them all but I just left it on in the background to earn some coins, so we now have quite a lot of dinosaurs with a really cool home with lots of scenery pieces. I've been overlaying them to get different looks. Really love this thing.

I had to delay the steam release because I can't launch the game as early access because is already out here, on itch.io. So the game should be fairly complete before the release to Steam.
Now that said, I'm currently developing the next big release, should be finished in the next weeks and then release on itch.io. For the steam release, the date has been set to December 31th, because Steam need to verify the game first, which could take few weeks.
I will soon write a newsletter on the itch page, to explain all of this and the content of the new release.
Sorry for the delay, I do my best to release the best game as soon as possible.

Hello, for now you can't really interact with your dinosaurs. You click on them to display informations, feed them by placing plants but you can't interact (play,pet...) in the current state of the game.
hey I bought the game few days ago. when I open the game everything is good and it shows everythings on my desktop. but when Im trying to "intract" the dinosuar itself or the menu, its just shakin the screen and dosent doing anything :/
I'm sorry to here that. You are not the first to raise this issue, I'm not able to reproduce it. But the evolutions I'm working for the next update, should fix your issue.

I think that it would be a good idea to add some pop-up kinda thing to get extra gold (idk how to explain it but it can be as simple as a coin that the dinosaurs drop when they are happy)
Also i feel that the eating animation of my dinosaur (stegosaurus) is kinda "clunky" cuz idk if im seeing it the wrong way but i think the dinosaur is shaking his tail for eating

Hello, it's planned, it should be available in the next release. But there will be no overlay mode. It will be replace by a fullscreen mode with a fort background environment.
First, I want to congratulate you for this cute animated deskstop you made. It's a pleasure to see this little world growing up in the screen of my computer.
But, since the last update, it's a bit weird. My dinosaurs don't eat or move, they just wait to die. Also, their skeleton disappear after a time, but il can see a pop up when I click on the spot they died "dinosaur (clone)"
I reinstalled the game but the bugs are still there.
EDIT 14/07/21 : I saw that my dinosaurs moves again. Maybe it's okay ? But still, I have this strange pop up.
For the freeze, really, I don't know why I had it. Right now my dinosaurs move and eat and everything is ok. Maybe something went wrong when I installed the update.
But yeah, I still have the weird "dinosaur clone", like on the screenshot I post in my first comment.

I really love this game, I'm super excited about new features coming up. I'm sort of sad to see there's a plant cap now but i love the t-rex addition.

It will not, I will add meet to the game, but in futur update you will be able to make it evolve to eat plants :)

Hello, there is no way to stretch on 2 screens, but you can switch from 1 monitor to an other in the windows tray menu.
It will be integrated in a configuration window in the next releases.

Hi, yes it's possible but for now it's done by hand, go to :
C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\LocalLow\HarmonieGames\Desktop Dinosaurs
Delete all the files and start the game. All data will be reset.
In next releases I will add this directly into the game setting.
