How did you implement the Theme and Special Object?
The setting is a small village that has 3 anvils - store, craft and swap. Santa has "ordered" gifts from you and you must fulfill his order by mining and crafting the right items

I used a special item as the main gameplay key

Neat game, feels pretty complete, nice!

The game as a real lovely vibes! The aesthetics are on point but could be more xmasy but given the time limit its at the peak<3! Well made!!

Very good idea for gameplay!

But I think this kind of gameplay needs more explicit and detailed feedback for the player. Both visual and auditory.

And probably a little less physicality of the items. Should have made them more stable or heavier, or attached them to anvils.

I replayed your game, and sir/mam, what a huge improvement. I really like it. It is still difficult without the crosshair.

Submitted(+1)

It's fun, but everytime I pick up an item, the item starts to oscillate really fast. Also I believe a crosshair will be helpful for the players

Hi, I really enjoyed playing your game
Adding player feedback (some sound or visual effect for hitting a tree, picking up an object) would really improve the gameplay

Its fun, but in the beginnig its something confuse, by example, sometimes the recipe changes because i push "e" to take the material,  and how there are things on the anvil,  i not notice of the change, maybe a different key to use the anvil or a change of something more notorious, or puthing the recipe in a floating UI.  Something of feedback when a tree is hit maybe be a good idea too. The first time that i finish the tutorial i thinked that i finished the game, but for curiosity i do click in the menu button and i looked that there are more levels, maybe and next level button or the levels selection when the tutorial is finished is a better idea.  Other than that, it's all good.

Neat idea, the concept is pretty cool! Some other mechanics and the overall handling would add a lot to this entry

Developer(+1)

thanks! I'll keep it in mind

Submitted(+1)

great idea for a game, fun, my only problem is the item handling

Submitted(+1)

Nice idea! I like the concept! It is nice to have some different mechanics and things to consider to achieve the goal, and the implementation of the anvil is very fitting!

I like the Textures/Models as well.

However I got a bit frustrated because of the collision while placing the items and had problems to make it on time because of that, so it was impacting the gameplay. And also I got a bit confused over the instructions on the anvils, because I placed what was asked but it didn't work. I don't know if it was just a placement/collision problem or If I misunderstood.

But anyway - I think it its a solid game with a nice idea! :)

Well done

Thanks! i'm in the process of developing two new mechanics, and reworking the physics of items :D Thank you for your time and appreciation of the game

Good gameplay concept, bad gameplay. Needs better execution.

Got it running with win, then I had the problem of not being able to close the game. (alt+f4, ctrl+c in terminal didn't work, so I just closed the terminal and that at least got the game to close) I can't really blame you for that as it might have been a fault of wine.

The input lag and occasional input drop was a bit annoying but i got used to it pretty quick. It's very easy to force an object to be out of bounds and it occasionally happens on accident. The physics are annoying because it's very hard to do what you actually want to do. In the 15 minutes I played, I miss placed around 10 items.

I like the graphics and the fact that it's 3D. (I wouldn't have even dared to try making a 3D game as I knew it was too hard for me.) The idea of harvesting resources and using it to making stuff was really enjoyable.

I know I was a bit harsh, just wanted to say what I think could be improved.

Hi! I'm glad you took the time to play our game.

1. Yes, this is a Wine problem. (I tested it since my main os is Linux)

2. The physics in the game is not perfect, and we unfortunately recognize that. Thank you for clarifying what exactly you didn't like about the physics. I will try to improve it in the next updates (I'm already on it)

3. Thank you! We tried to create good and pleasant graphics, and the sound designer picked the right music.

Thank you again for your informative feedback

I came back to the game to rate it and thought I would record me abusing the game. I showed 3 bugs in the recording.

Here it is:

Cool game, had a lot of fun playing it, very addicting!

Thanks! Your game is too great :3

Nice work. Wasn't sure what to do once I'd completed the objective though. I assumed the red anvil must have something to do but couldn't work it out.

Developer(+1)

Unfortunately yes, my problem is that a game without a good tutorial is hard to understand. now I'm doing update 5 with a clear tutorial and new mechanics (very major update).

Developer

No updates in the next day, I'm in the process of developing a tutorial (special scene)

Looks good

Hey, great game! I enjoyed the anvil functionality and overall gameplay idea.

Good game idea! I really liked the music.

It looks so great but clearly the gameplay could be better. I think you need to improve the gameplay and physics. It need to be funnier and enjoyable. insted of that, Great work!

The world of this game looks great; it's just a shame that the main gameplay loop is more frustrating than fun. The physics are quite  a bit too whacky to be fully functional, and the information drop upon startup is both a bit unapproachable and not very visually pleasing, especially in contrast to the rest of the game.

I'm sure that if the numerous rough edges of this game are worked upon, it would much improve the experience!

Developer

Thanks a lot, for the really constructive and valid criticism. I am glad that you paid attention and outlined the main problems.
