The programming language Python, which is in this game, is sometimes falsely flagged as a virus at total random. There's nothing in the game that'd actually 'cause a problem on your device. You can try to tell the scanner to trust the file or turn it off just while the game is installing and then put it back on.
Try to download in another site, I think itch.io's server is bugged or something like that. Look for the game at steam, you should be able from there or from another site. Itch.io had a similar problem before and it took some days for them to fix it, so if you aren't hurry you could wait for them to fix it.
Hey there, huge fan of the first game and excited to try out Now and Forever. I've been trying to download the demo for a while and having a lot of trouble, maybe someone here can help me.
The dowload stops around 500 mb give or take no matter what I do. I tried dowloading through a different web browser but no luck. My computer has no problem downloading steam games or google drive files, only struggles with this demo apparently.
Has anyone else had this same problem? (I'm an Mac btw)
Upd8: Just downloaded sucessfully, it was a problem with the itch.io servers as the comment below says.
I had the same problem both in android and Windows. You can get the game in others sites though. Probably it's a problem in itch.io's server or something like that (They had this issue before). You should be able to download the demo via Steam.
hey, i love this game so so much, as well as beginnings & always but will it actually release in 2025?? i dont mean to sound impatient or to undermine your work at all but seeing the state it's in right now, that seems like really far away and too much time T_T would it be possible that it might release in sections? as in releasing the steps separately, or releasing the full game without the dlc first and then the dlc would come later?

Their plan is releasing the steps little by little, like they did with the first game. If you're too anxious to play this, you could pass your time playing the first one and the various DLCs (there's five or six, plenty of content to play) until another demo release.
The demo will be updated twice per year with improved features and new scenes, but I'm afraid we won't release entire Steps before Fall 2025. Sorry it's gonna be such a long wait from now.
It totally worth the wait!!! What you made with the first game is awesome and you made this game with so much more inclusiveness that it's overwhelming in good way. Keep doing this amazing work!!! Your games are beautiful and we can feel all the love, care and hard-working you put in it.

I'm sorry it's not installing! You might need more space on your device or to change the setting to allow games not from the Playstore to be downloaded.

I actually got the same problem on my pc, granted its a very old model I thought it was just a problem with me but maybe it's just a bug. I also looked up the system requirements and my OS can barely run this VN soooo.... maybe it's your RAM or the graphics maybe?
I would think that but i opened today OurLifeNF-1.1.0-pc and it works without that problem and my pc not very old, runs Our life 1 normally. So i have trouble only with newer version.
Hi! I was wondering when do we get to activate the jealous options. Is it in Step 2? Thanks!! I'm loving the demo, just curious about that in case that we can activate it in Step 1 and I missed it :)
At the start of Step 2 on the dynamic screen,you can move the Dynamic Elements to jealous of or envious over for yourself and the leads. It's the same screen where you choose if you're friends, neighbors, or crushes. Jealousy isn't on the dynamic screen in Step 1. You don't know the kids well enough to have that be part of your actual dynamic, but there are choice options to express jealously in Step 1.
I've got a question. Do you get to pick your Extracurriculars? And if so, depending on which one you choose, do you get to meet specific characters and not meet others? Or is it like no matter what activity you pick you'll still meet characters like Viance? Also, since when was Pran a character in our life NF? Are there more characters you'll meet in step 1 and 2? Like even more then we have right now?
Also I'm very confused about the different hairstyles and stuff, Like what options will result in them getting different hairstyles? Like, If your really kind to them will they get hairstyle A but when your mean they get hairstyle B? or is it relationships like if your crushing on Qui from the start he get's hairstyle A but if your friends from the start he gets hairstyle B?
Glad you like it! Did you delete the old version of the game and are playing only the most recent build? Removing older versions won't delete your saves.
Yeah, but only in Step 2. Your eyebrows automatically match your natural color and you can't have dyed hair in Step 1, so whatever you pick then is your natural color. In Step 2 you can dye your hair and control the color of your eyebrows.
Will the proluge 3 also be relased before game? And when will full step 2 be relased? I really like this game just like 'our life beginnings and always' so I can't stop wondering and checking if there are any updates weekly, and i cant wait for the relase! :]
The full version of Step 2 won't be out until the game releases in Fall 2025. There might be a small preview of Step 3 in the demo eventually, but maybe not. We're not gonna update the demo super frequently, only twice a year or so. But I'm glad you like it!
Hi, if you don't mind me asking. Since the game is getting released till two years from here, do you possibly know what the date may be when it comes out? I want to set it in my calendar, so I don't forget that's why.

This game was the second game I was introduced to in Itch.io
I remember first playing this game, when the game cut off at Darren and Baxter going to their homes with Qiu and that was it. But after a few months, I finally came to this game by chance and replayed it with full version this time.
it is legitimately one of the best games I have ever been introduced to my whole damn life

You can date Baxter with the DLC on the first game. Here on the second game most certainly not, it would conflict with the story of the first game x.x

Uh so a few times I tried to open the game files my antivirus stopped the application before it could start and quarantined the files....
Not sure if it's falsely flagging something in the files but I'm not sure whether to risk it to find out ^^;

You can try to see if the scanner can be told to trust the app, otherwise turning it off for while you download it could work.

Hello. How can i fix this? In demo OurLifeNF-1.1.0-pc all is ok. But OurLifeNF-1.3.5-pc and steam version with the same problem platform windows 10.

it s turned out my drivers for videocard was old so after installing newest all good with images 😊

You will get to choose extracurriculars eventually, but no matter what you pick you'll meet the whole cast!
Currently, the system to determine hairstyles and accessories for the leads hasn't been implemented. It's totally random in the game.
