oOoO! I love this! It’s adorable and gives me wonderful Yuri Norstein vibes if he made gb games instead of animations

Thanks! I really love this art style!

This looks great! Really nice atmosphere and the little raccoon is really cute.

Thank you for the kind words!

The raccoon was my first original design done a long time ago, I'm happy you liked it.

Very nice, I enjoyed reading the poem alongside it. Though I feel that you did a good job capturing the essence that the art stands on its own!

It's very cozy, and I think the view-port border helps with that. I wonder, was that originally part of the composition or born out of matching the tile limit?

The pose and light of the raccoon and leaf make it feel like a proper Zelda setup when the player finds a new item, which is super neat to have that GB DNA in the composition. Though, the diagonal line of elements from the top left to the bottom right gives it more of a feeling of a traditional painting. That's a cool balance!

Thank you for your analysis, the poem is a follow-up. If the feeling wasn't caught at first, I wanted it to help the value I placed on the drawing.

The border is yes and no intentional, there were a lot more lines illustrating the trees in the beta design, but I opted for a dark border, so I can illustrate the light from the lake.

The combinations were something that just worked, I made the characters with more detail so that it would be easier to notice them. But when I finished placing them in the scene I was sure that now all that was left was the rest of the pixel art.

A conversation between nature and a raccoon where no word is spoken is really my vibe. I love how you rendered the moonlit lake and its surroundings!

It was also my favorite touch too. :>

Love the atmosphere!

Thanks! I wanted it to look like a big forest in relation to the little raccoon.

Hey!
Thanks for comment, You made a good use of the tiles, I like to see how artists take advantage of the limits imposed for this type of work, it conveys a good aura and it's also great that you put the reference that inspired your creation!

A big hug!

Thank you for your comment, your pixel art is really good, so it's very easy to appreciate it.

I was happy that I liked how the tiles were used, it was an intense battle lasting several hours, but it was good when I won.

The poem is just a silly extra, but I'm glad someone read it. :>

Nice image, sweet with a tinge of melancholy or sadness. Inspiring, great, thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your comment.
This pixel art made me so anxious that I could barely stop looking and try to fix it. But the result pleased me.
(Now I have to fix the PNG, I made a mistake in one of the pixels on the character's belly, and now I can't stop looking XD)
