Interesting, expecting something and then boom something. My playthrough is the second part of this video.

This game is pretty cool , but what would make the game cooler was an anxiety meter which increases every 2-4  doors, and to lower it you would have to hide in a closet or stop moving for a short while. And the stamina meter needs to last longer , cool concept tho.

I was considering adding this as a normal gameplay feature but decided not to for balancing reasons and whatnot.

HOWEVER: I really really want to add this as an extra mode in the options menu now. :)

I made a video on your game (17:55)

Interesting game. As other comments have said, it's a bit rough that the game doesn't explain how to survive the monsters.

Also, were the similarities to Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion intentional? You've even got Specimen 7.

Originally, it was inspired by Spooky’s Jump Scare Mansion and this is also (kind of) the case with the big wall monster. It was both inspired by Spooky’s specimen 7 and a nightmare I had that I wrote down in a dream diary I have (which is also the inspiration for the monster that spawns in the pitch black darkness).

(it’s also because I couldn’t rig anything or model anything decent during the time I was working on this for college but let’s ignore that haha)

I will definitely add some hints that players can read on how to survive monsters (like another commenter suggested, notes in the environment). Thanks!

I would suggest including some kind of notes giving vague hints of what to expect and how to deal with "them"

I’ve wanted to do notes for a while but couldn’t find a way to add them without there being TOO many of the same note spawning, though I will be coming back to this and I will be finding a way to add notes since I want to add hints to surviving monsters as well as notes for world-building and whatnot.

Thanks!

Interesting concept, which can be further improved by having a better atmosphere in the game.

From the start I did not know what to expect. The idea of the office and an imaginary or invisible enemy is truly great, but you need more than that. At some point during the gameplay I felt bored. Maybe the rooms are randomly generated and the gameplay experience is different for everyone, but it was not that good for me.

My personal suggestion would be adding small details to the game, subtle scares, moving objects, maybe even closing doors. The hiding spot was truly wasted for me and I did went through 50 doors and nothing happened.

As I said, the game has a huge potential, it is good and can be improved by adding minor changes. Best of luck with the future developments.

Thank you! I’m going to be updating this game in the very near future so I’m 100% going to be taking note of everything said here. Thanks again!

this game won't start for me

What’s wrong, exactly? I haven’t really had this happen to me, so more information could be helpful!
