You are given free reign of your choices, and the longer the game progresses, the more it will come into play with whom and how you engaged. Basically you start with all 7 main girls routes open, and as you progress, you can slowly start losing routes either by missing certain story aspects due to your choices, or just due to lacking relationship points.
In Ep3 there is no real punishment yet if you aren't "perfect" and you pursue multiple girls, but the longer the updates go, the more you could lose due to pursuing everyone. Naturally in the end you'll end up only on one girl/route.
I have been pleasantly surprised so far with "Fates Collide" after dropping in with zero expectations. The amount you've put towards character development and giving each one a deeper backstory and sense of self, is rather refreshing for an AVN when compared to other 'quick thrill' titles. I will look forward to how things develop in the future (I haven't finished the current version yet).

Took me a good long time of looking at it to play this game, but I must say, youre doing phenomenal work! Anyone who complains about the slow pace should just go watch porn. For my part, I felt like the characters were pretty well fleshed out and true to the characters they represent. Story is slow going, but in context, that's a good thing, as youre just introducing all the key players. Characters are gorgeous and well done and not having them as place marker 'holes' to fill was a great choice. Keep up the good work. Will check back in a few months for sure. I'll 100% support this game monetarily when you've managed to push out some more great content! (Learned to wait to see if the creators' are in it for the long haul before investing spare funds)

First of all, of course it's and adult +18 game. You do realize that even if there was no sex, just some titties on screen and nothing else, for the whole game, that HAS to be tagged as +18. You do realize that? Unless I want to get banned for people under that age playing it.
Now with that false claim out of the way... This game is intentionally slow. It's even pointed out on start of it. If you wish for a quick meet and fuck, this isn't the VN for you. And if you take a smaaaall peak above, you can see the tags. Dating sim, romance, slice of life, meaningful choices. I think all of that is absolutely correct, isn't it?
Also, an adult game doesn't have to have a sex scene in first episode, hell, some have actual sex way, way later into the game. So far, there is one boobjob scene ingame, and some more scenes will be coming in Ep4. And if you only care about Sex scenes, well... Plenty of such games out there that start as soon as you load the game ^^
Its is an AVN = adult visual NOVEL. There is an emphasis on story and characters personalities instead of mindless sex . Go to pornhub if you really want to just to get off and not be interested in the development of the story.
And yes I do understand that scenes are very few and no sex still but that is how it is in real life. You move to a new city make new friends and acquaintances , get to know them and form a relationship and then have those 18+ moments.

Im curious but how many episodes have you planned for this visual novel? I played for free but I enjoyed it so much that I can't wait for the rest to come out and I can buy it then. It truly has been wonderful character wise and story wise. And with all the girls you can choose from, it really enhances the replayability thanks to the usual harem option games like to throw out. It's more realistic and makes the characters more enjoyable (and harder to choose like between Serena and Avis or Koko and raika).
Is there or will there be consequences regarding having intimate moments with multiple girls before a route is locked in place? Like say you play cards right, get Avis to kiss you and have that moment with Serena, will said actions be brought up later when pursuing one of them? Since you mentions you can try to do it but will prevent you from seeing certain scenes, curious if there's consequences in the game about it.
I can't say about episodes, but definitely didn't plan to end quickly, especially with how slow the relationships develop. For the latter part, on one hand I don't want to spoil anything that I have ideas about that, but also I'll openly say as it's my first game and story writing and all, I am unsure how good and well developed that part I can do. In my ideal vision yes, in laterstages of the game there should be references and consequences depending if you pursued or did something intimate with another girl. But also the Girls don't suddenly have Xray vision and professor Xavier mind capabilities😁 So unless you as a player share something, or girls share for certain reasons something with each other, or they see you with someone, then they won't know what you did and with who. Also, mc isn't in any relationships yet, and naturally there won't be some punishment so early on if you did something with someone while everyone is free and available.
Hopefully that answers the questions and explains my thought process at least a little bit ^^
for your first game you've done an amazing job so far, definitely enjoyed it so far. But its definitely a relief seeing you say that! In far too many games where you do all that with multiple people despite no relationship, other characters always has issues with it, especially if it's with someone don't like. Or even if you don't get caught the system makes them already or comes back to haunt them. Glad to see some realism in the relationships and such. Love the quality of love interests, makes it hard to choose which goes first. 😂
The project looks very interesting. My hands are reaching out to try, but I know myself: as soon as the «fateful» decisions begin, I will most likely delete the game. I just don't like replaying the whole game over and over again. Or play it once, missing a bunch of content. In the end, I don’t like games where you have to «choose» a girl, like a thing in a store. There is no harem, so I'm curious. Will there be some way to turn off the «fatefulness» of decisions in order to simply read the full story with all the scenes at once?

Apologies, but no, the direction of the game is meant in the first part of the comment. While naturally lots of choices don't have big impact, many of them still do and as game progresses there will be more branching out. And for the ending, there is definitely not planned one with all the girls, which would also make it impossible to make it "turn off" as many events are tied to specific choices/routes.
This is an extremely charming, incredibly funny game with characters that feel like actual people. I'd highly recommend anyone looking through the comments give this game a chance - I promise you won't regret it.

Would you say it's best to focus on one girl from the beginning or mingle around until given the option to commit? You've mentioned theres no penalty for now as this isnt a harem but still early game. I'm curious how you imagine the games structure as it goes forward and how much the heroines will stay involved as supporting cast when the player narrows down their route choice.
A few already asked about and I'll keep the answer more or less the same. You can currently pursue multiple girls, and you aren't actively penalized for it. But the further you go into the game, the harder it will be to try and please everyone. If a girl asks you to hang out 3 times, but each time you went somewhere else, you will see consequences. Or later in the game if you decline a girls advance, they'll remember it and it might be very hard to regain her love interest.
With that being said, this is my very first adventure in both game making, but also any story writing, so I'll do my best to make it a good mixture of entarteining and challenging, but also relatively clear if you are in a danger zone of losing a route. I won't promise, but there is an idea to help players with it in ep4 or ep4.5 ^^
I have lots of segments visualized how they should go in future, but not all is written in stone nor in full detail. The general idea (don't fully quote me on that) is to keep the girls around your life even if you decline them, just in (depending which ones of the girls) much lesser degree.
Mostly Slice of life, but there will be more drama as time goes by. Naturally adult game so will be sex related stuff (only one lewd scene in current version). And the rest is like the tags show here, so romance, humor, dating sim, choices matter etc.
I played this game before couple of updates and every update before, i was thinking - now i will choose another girl for mainline but than i saw Avis again... and forget about anybody else. Avis is fantastic ^_^
I like the non-harem idea, forces you to actually pursue one girl and making it realistic. What i would want to know is will there be any consequences to doing so or not? Like a surprise pregnancy or something idk or the girls finding out you're cheating. My main fetish is like having family, getting a girl pregnant and spending your life with her, which a lot of games don't do.
As I've answered in some posts before, pregnancy won't be some real part of the story. Do I wish to have it in some characters endings? Kinda, yeah. But besides such endings, no. Cheating, maybe. Naturally here I can't say much, especially as I don't have myself everything set in stone yet, but you might anger some if you really go for everyone constantly.
Nope! Only thing you can check are the progress reports. I am (if I don't screw sth up) finishing the biggest hurdle of the university in 2-3 weeks, so I can finally focus on the game instead, which will speed it up drastically ^^ I don't expect it in <2 months.

For now, there is no real schedule, as I've been swamped with my last year of university exams. After I'm done with that, I do hope to speed up and go for 3 releases per year. I still have to move out (out of my family's place) which is also slowing me down, as well, working during summer on a lewd game with open doors with parents around isn't optimal 🤣 But yeah, I hope for much speedier releases once I am free.

I really hope you change your mind about the harem option. In carbis game you can choose to be monogamous or have a harem ending and its really refreshing to have the option. I've had a few girlfriends in my life so its not something I fantasize about but a harem is far out my reach and games like these let me live out those fantasy.
And the characters are really great, they all feel natural so far.
To each their own, as the phrase goes. While technically true (for Caribdis's games), his game is undeniably first and foremost a harem, and you don't get any benefits if you choose one girl (as in, more content and scenes for that one girl). Almost no HS1/2 games are non-harem, and I wanted mine to be that way, as I find it much more challenging to write, but also fun to add more depth to relations. It also adds a big layer of replayability, and most of my players really enjoyed that part. So no, for now it won't be any harem possibilities.
Edit: just to not sound wrong, I love playing some harem games myself, and his games are my favorites! Just saying that everyone can choose their own writing and the preference for it.

I played this game before couple of updates and every update before, i was thinking - now i will choose another girl for mainline but than i saw Avis again... and forget about anybody else. Avis is fantastic ^_^

I like the non-harem idea, forces you to actually pursue one girl and making it realistic. What i would want to know is will there be any consequences to doing so or not? Like a surprise pregnancy or something idk or the girls finding out you're cheating. My main fetish is like having family, getting a girl pregnant and spending your life with her, which a lot of games don't do.
As I've answered in some posts before, pregnancy won't be some real part of the story. Do I wish to have it in some characters endings? Kinda, yeah. But besides such endings, no.
Cheating, maybe. Naturally here I can't say much, especially as I don't have myself everything set in stone yet, but you might anger some if you really go for everyone constantly.

Only thing you can check are the progress reports. I am (if I don't screw sth up) finishing the biggest hurdle of the university in 2-3 weeks, so I can finally focus on the game instead, which will speed it up drastically ^^

Hey Katana, your game is great and I need more Avis. I'm not asking for anything specific, and if you can't answer that's fine, but about how often do you try to push out an update? I'm only asking so I'm not checking (and sad) every day. Also, any other faves besides Caribdis and Jestur?
For now, there is no real schedule, as I've been swamped with my last year of university exams. After I'm done with that, I do hope to speed up and go for 3 releases per year. I still have to move out (out of my family's place) which is also slowing me down, as well, working during summer on a lewd game with open doors with parents around isn't optimal 🤣
But yeah, I hope for much speedier releases once I am free.

I really hope you change your mind about the harem option. In carbis game you can choose to be monogamous or have a harem ending and its really refreshing to have the option. I've had a few girlfriends in my life so its not something I fantasize about but a harem is far out my reach and games like these let me live out those fantasy.
And the characters are really great, they all feel natural so far.
To each their own, as the phrase goes.
While technically true (for Caribdis's games), his game is undeniably first and foremost a harem, and you don't get any benefits if you choose one girl (as in, more content and scenes for that one girl).
Almost no HS1/2 games are non-harem, and I wanted mine to be that way, as I find it much more challenging to write, but also fun to add more depth to relations. It also adds a big layer of replayability, and most of my players really enjoyed that part. So no, for now it won't be any harem possibilities.
Edit: just to not sound wrong, I love playing some harem games myself, and his games are my favorites! Just saying that everyone can choose their own writing and the preference for it.
