Did you make this game using GamemMaker Stuido? :)

Yes, I did.

Are there any tutorials on how to make 2D point-and-click adventure games for GameMaker studio?

None that I know of off the top of my head, but I'm sure someone has written something on the matter. Bear in mind that GameMaker Studio isn't made for point and clicks out of the box, so everything needs to be custom coded.

This was one of my first projects so it wasn't very refined. But it was still a fun learning process figuring out how to build things from scratch. Stuff like: collision detection, pathfinding, clickable regions, text boxes, cut scenes, etc.

Ah, I see.  Well, you did a decent job of making a game from scratch. Was just curious, as I've been looking for other options other than the Godot engine. And, yeah, I didn't see GameMaker games  that are 2D adventure. I'm currently learning Escoria by Godot, as it's geared towards 2D adventure point-and-click. It's one of the genre's that isn't really as popular as the others, but it's a great genre for more storytelling driven games.

Nice short game and the mystery.

Thanks! The theme of the game jam, if I remember, was mystery or "that escalated quickly".

I enjoyed it. Is there more than one ending?

Thanks for playing jdogz! No there’s only one ending, but if I had more time for the game jam, it would have been cool to offer multiple endings.
