7k milestone post (+ important question)

Hello again! I was originally planning to make this post for 5k downloads, but before I knew it... 7k??? (and nearly 8k as we speak!!!)

Thank you all so much for the overwhelming support! I'm not really sure what else I can say that hasn't already been said... It really does keep me going to see so many people loving my game and my characters.

I was going through a pretty dark period mentally last year and even though I never really posted any updates in that time, it cheered me up to read people's comments on my game.  But the good news is that I managed to pass my final semester of second year, so this year should (fingers crossed) be my last year of university!

Though that makes me feel pretty guilty for not updating the game in any way since then... And since this year will likely be pretty hectic, I will probably not be able to work on it much until I at the very least finish my first semester of third year in late June.

Therefore I would like to ask... Would you guys like for me to upload the progress I have made? I know that I originally planned to only update the game when it was fully finished, to keep people guessing. But I overestimated myself. Still, if I were to go through with the idea, I'd probably only allow people to play up to the very last scenes before any endings. What do you guys think? Would you prefer to see more of the story now, or would you rather keep the suspense up?

Also, Happy (very late) Valentine's Day!!! I spent it alone, so I wasn't really in the mood to post anything special for that day, haha. But there was a question on my CuriousCat (that I stupidly deleted when I accidentally thought that sharing the post would duplicate it...) that asked what Liev was doing for Valentine's Day, so here's the answer!

(mild spoilers ahead if you haven't played the game)

"Hmm... Since Valentine's is a school day, I don't have a lot of time to spend following Quinn arou- I mean, talking to them! Ahh, it's not as if l've been able to after they approached me with their... problem. I took care of it already, but how else can I express my love? Telling them how I... Oh no no no no!! They might reject me and hate me forever and I can't have that! Err... Oh! That's it! I'II leave a love note and a little gift in their locker!"

Isn't he such a romantic? <3

Also! I have a CuriousCat page now! I posted about it already on Twitter (@Ct4623) but I never got around to posting about it here until now since I was caught up in figuring out what to say in my milestone post.

Here's the link to the page: https://curiouscat.live/LuciaLily. Ask away!

On my CuriousCat page, I talk a bit about what I've been doing for the game and the sketches I've done (and I have done a lot. Maybe I haven't been actively working on the game, but I sure do think about it a lot!). Since CuriousCat only allows you to share one image at a time, here are a few that I quite like!

Liev without his iconic sweater on and his sleeves rolled up a bit. Also a closeup of his eyes.

Was mostly testing new lineart techniques on CSP, as well as trying out the Multiply lighting trick.

Well, I think that's about everything I want to say. Enjoy the sketches! I may post more on Twitter if I have anymore I want to share. Please please do let me know in the comments what you think of my idea!

Well I don't know about others but if you want you can give me the new update of the game :'))) I really can't wait... Your game is a masterpiece ToT

I would definitely want to wait for the full game, and please take your time, burnout is an easy thing to stumble upon and congratulations on 7k+  I can't wait for the full release!!

I'll be happy whether I wait or not, but it would be nice to see updates on how much progress you are making on the game. Like maybe percentage of completion or major milestones in development. I always like to follow development updates on projects I'm interested in as it keeps excitement up

Waiting is okay! Maybe you could update us once in a while in the progress made during these times, although that is completely up to you!

Take care of yourself, we'll be waiting for you :) (And good luck on the last term of uni!)

Congrats on 7k+ downloads and for passing your final semester of second year! Don't feel too bad about not posting updates or not working on the game too much, after all, it's better if you prioritize your life and mental health first! As for me, I like my surprises, so I'd prefer to wait. However, maybe you can share some non-spoilery WIP screenshots to let us become more curious as to what's to come?

Either way, I'm down with anything you decide to do for the game and how you handle updates! Just take your time with everything and no rush, I think most of us don't mind waiting a bit longer :D

(Also those arts are so pretty Liev marry me)

Hiiii! Congrats on passing your second semester! For the game itself, honestly I'd much rather wait for the full game but maybe a progress report would be nice to see if ever? Just to keep people engaged and know that the visual novel is still being worked on despite your hectic schedule? Either way, take care of yourself and once again, congratulations!!!

I think waiting for the full game would be best in my opinion- I played this game earlier this year and enjoyed it a lot and was a little sad there were no updates. But I am aware that I'd likely enjoy the game more seeing it fully finished.

I prefer to wait tbh. although I'm excited about this game, it's been long enough to the point where I've gained enough patience to wait for the finished game, getting a new part now would most definitely make me impatient again. LOL
