Once in a Lifetime

Just finished my second run! I had a lot of fun with this game!

In the first run, I got killed.

In the second, I got Judie. (after come back a couple times heheh)

Next run, I hope I get the harem.

Most important part for me is that I could identify some patterns of behavior which led me to failure with most of the girls I've got into in my real life while playing. And maybe I can work on my mental health to correct them. And I got some tips from the game that are worth to the real life, which follows:

You can always go a step further. But everything has limits too;

Staying totally focused on your objectives may lead you to loneliness in life. Make friends and have fun during the process;

Girls do pretty damn hot things while you are not with them, and you'll lose your whole life if you worry with it. This is definitely none of your business; and

You're always making small decisions that may change your whole path in life forever.

Because there are certain things that happen just... Once in a Lifetime.

I really want to play this game since Eternum was such a great game, but is there incest and if so, is it avoidable? I would really appreciate it if you could let me know and thank you, btw, for making such a great game like Eternum. I have played almost every AVN, yet it still blew me away. 

I played this game for a while now and went through the Harem Ending. Like, man, I really love how you portrait Lauren from a cold girl to a sweet, loving, caring and wonderful lady. Everytime I repeat the game, I always go for Lauren in every choices possible, maybe because I love black haired ladies? I dunno. She's one of the best girls in OiaLT. 

Anyways, I really hope there's another bonus scenes in this game, 'cause I really love it.

When did you started working on it or at least when was the 0.1 released?

This game is one of my favorites for sure. I liked the characters, some were quite interesting and fun. Like the comedy and the scary moments. The impregnate option was also a big bonus, also there is a certain character you may want to free in a certain escape, that character is hilarious 🤣 I highly recommend it. Will be sure to donate something next pay check. Remind me here if I forget lol 😆 It's well earned after all 👏 

I just finished the my second playthrough of this game when I realized there's a 1.0 version, so looks like I'm playing through again, by the by is there some way to get a playlist of the all music you used and I mean all of it? I'm not very good at finding stuff like that so some tips or something would be appreciate much love from one fool to another

Finished the game. Man, I'm telling you what a masterpiece this is. The game is really good but it left myself wanting for more, So I'm also going to check out Eternum next. Anyways man, keep up the good work! Hoping for the best of you!

Oh man, this game was absolutely amazing! I want more! 
Your Eternum is more better than that but I cant forget Lauren. I mean noone from any other game cant compare with her. This story and characters are amazing! I cant describe it. Jokes and easter eggs (if i can use this phrase) to really good. I just want to play sequel of this game.

But there are some cons. I mean game is rly good but the harem ending ended on the most interesting. I JUST WANT TO SEE MORE!

So in the end of this drunk review i can say that your games are amazing. Just dont stop pls! I cant imagine my life without your game. So I really think to support you but I know that I cant help you anything even if I will pay you 100 dollars/month. And its really sad. But i hope i will raise your mood by reading this review. P.S. Eternum was first and after I completed 0.3 I decided to try OiaL. And I will repeat: I rly want to continue of this story. I hope you will connect 2 games in 1 and It will be your third game. But who I am to recomend you how to do you games? GL man!

I've just finished the game, and this is an absolute masterpiece. I've played a fair few harem games in my time, but this one is easily the best execution of the harem visual novel I've seen, and uses the medium to the fullest for fantastic comedy, engaging characters, and a genuinely engaging story.

The good ending was just lovely. I can't even validly say 'the only bad thing is that there wasn't more', because the game does everything it needs to and wraps it all up with a bow. As an undying fan of the harem genre, I can't express how great of an experience this was. It blew my expectations out of the water.

Superb work, and I'm looking forward to checking out Eternum.

Ok, so after like 6 or 7 replays, I've realized that there actually is a harem ending lol. I've been hesitant to call Mike after my first playthrough lol. Nice twist brother, haha! :P

I decided to play it just to kill some time but I dont know when or how but I finished it in two days. Great plot great characters and animations. I did all the endings only the hidden one is left, I don't even know what to expect from it. Story is mostly unpredictable and I love it. Characters have personalities, they are not some kind of dolls but well writen charcters. There is so much good thinks about the game I could go forever with this list. 10/10 I didn't play ETERNUM yet but I expect a lot and I know I won't be disappointed. Only one thing that could be better was the pregnancy, maybe it's only me but I thgout there will be a bit more than just pics on the end. If ETERNUM is completed one day I hope it will have this feature as well but a bit spicier. Keep up the good work m8.

Love this game. I noticed there hasnt been an update for a while. Is the game finished or is it and the backburner with Eternum in the lead for updates?

The story is so good and not make me irritated or mad because the protagonist actually think instead of doing something so dumb (Eternum too) 

Btw, what software did you use for the 3D Animation? I haven't seen something like what you use, usually it always bad and blurry but your game is clear and looks High Quality

I just finished this game with tears in my eyes. It was such a good game, and I'd recommend it to anyone who asked me about it. Ten out of ten. I will be keeping track of your games in the future. Oh, and I loved how Stabby Mike kept just showing up out of nowhere. It was funny, and I made a great friend along the way. Keep up the great work my friend.

Very good game, I got caught in the story (which is a requirement to me, even if I'm looking for adult content) and I also appreciate the humour here and there. I was a bit fazed with the characters facial expressions in the beginning, but got used to it just fine. Now that I have finished the game with all paths, I think my biggest regret (Careful, spoiler!!) is that there is no "interaction" with Carla and Rebecca together. Especially with Carla's comment on the church to convince Rebecca to come, I really though there would be some action coming up!

But again, very good game overall. Thank you !!

Fantastic game. The humor of the intro alone sold me, and the jokes throughout were so great. You can tell Caribdis put a lot of effort and soul into it with how enjoyably the characters are written.

I do want to ask though, what is the music used in the main menu and intro called? It’s very catchy and I want to be able to listen to it more!

I really like your style of making this games your other game is already in my top 3 list and and I just started playing this and you really do try to communicate with your players which is great and the visuals of the games are great too I hope someday you'd make a game without showing my in-game character during s*x scenes😅 the stories are great though 10/10

First of all,  the game is 15/10. It's my first time playing a visual novel and this game made my first experience to be really really good. I expected this game to have overwhelmingly too much lewd scenes (but of course there are a lot), but what I meant is this game didn't just gave me a very lewd experience, it also gave me a really good story and plot and extremely hilarious comedy scenes. I think I'm still far from finishing the game but I really love it! I can't wait to see if the MC has a power or something that is connected to the cult...

But there's just one thing that makes me sad, that is when I lost the "paths".  I didn't really get how the paths works. Do I lose the path if I chose the wrong choices(even if that choice gives a heart)? And if I do lost the path, can I recover it again while continuing the game? Or do I need to go from the start again?

But yeah, all in all, Once in a Lifetime is a really good visual novel! I can't wait fo try Eternum after finishing this game.

I ended up finding this game a while back when I first got into this stuff (I think it was your version 0.9 or something. 1.0 came out a few months later)

Didn't realise it was gonna eventually push me to make my own stuff. Great game, and it's still the first game that comes to mind when I think "Adult visual novel"

I like every character, and that's how a harem game should be. 

(I like the story a lot too, but I'm a character guy, if they were a miss then I wouldn't have bothered with the story. As it happens, I've played this start to finish 3 times.)

Ok ok this game is amazing the 3d art is very well done and the scenes are well animated, but what i didnt expect was for the plot to be so damn good chef's kiss and the comedy is golden i love it.

man, i went in expecting just another adult VN but damn this was so well made. The story was surprisingly captivating and the horrorr parts were genuinely unnerving. Plus i never expected to laugh every couple of minutes. The game really lived up to its name.

Dude, that game was absolutely incredible! I was first afraid because of the look of the characters but when I was used to and find how funny the jokes were... honestly I can't even find word to describe how incredible this game is! It's for sure in my top 3 of best AVN, thanj you so much!

I finished this not too long ago and was lucky enough to get what I believe is the perfect ending, at least for me, and man, I can't express enough how much I loved this VN. Everything was executed so well. I don't know if there's a single thing I would go back and change. At the very least, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that I'd change. I had no idea what I was in for when I started the game, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. The story is fantastic and roped me in very quickly. It has a somewhat slow build, but that's how it should be, so it doesn't drop everything on you at once. The twist reveal at the end caught me completely by surprise, but I was there for it all the way. The characters are so memorable and fun. The main cast are unforgettable and very loveable (Lauren is the best, easily), the "secondary" girls are all unique and fun as well, and the recurring side characters never disappoint (vote Stabb). The romances are also on a slow burn, but once again, it's what makes this game as special as it is. You have to be patient, and the wait is certainly worth it. The soundtrack is also great, with all the songs complementing the scenes they accompany very well. The song in the epilogue even earned a spot in my spotify likes. The humor in this game is absolutely spot-on. There were some scenes that had me in literal tears from how hard I laughed (the yakuza intro still kills me). Speaking of tears, I NEVER thought an adult visual novel would get me to feel emotional, but by god, this game did it. In the epilogue scenes for the ending I got, seeing all the characters I grew to love, including the side characters Mike, Jack, and Hitomi, all getting their happy ending, I'm not afraid to admit I cried. This game and it's story is THAT well done. Slight spoilers ahead, but seeing the ring on Lauren and Judie's hands at the end was just... I couldn't have asked for a better ending. I truly love this VN. One could even say a story like it only comes along once in a lifetime ;)

Honestly, I can't believe I had finished the story. The story line is so perfect and extremely interesting. I LOVED every single scene and dialogues in the game. I had recently finished Eternum as well and I can't wait for the next release. I really hope you keep continuing on creating these games. I can't have enough of them. Need.. more.. Caribdis's.. games.. . 100/10

Caribdis i added an account just to comment, so far i've found your game to be one of the ones that i really want to play. tbh i thought that the mystery side of things wasn't what i was wanting, but its actually good in your game because it breaks it up the girls seem more exciting. 

Man....just finish this game.....

It start slow... realy slow, but, not boring slow, more like "building the history" slow...

But,  it was getting better. Things got deep and interesting. Mystery and plots were heating up and Mike is the real Best Friend anyone can have.

It kinda remember me of GOT: start because of the boobs but keep going because of its history.

However... 2 thing were "missing"... a huge harem orgy and the girls talking "how Things will work out".

Anyway...

This game earn my like!

Just finished the game, and I gotta say... the story was very immersive and well thought-out. This game has a great plot, character development, amazing pop culture references, and an amazing sense of humor (I genuinely laughed out loud in many parts of the story). Amazing. 10/10!!
