Major Update- Version 1.1 Available Now!

Hey everyone! I’m excited to announce that version 1.1 of Whore of Ardor has been released. Unlike past updates, this is major expansion of Whore of Ardor’s content. An overview of things that have been added and changed:

-Romance Options and Sex Scenes for Warren and Atalia:

Both Warren the harpy and Atalia the elf can now be romanced and/or have sex with the player. Access this new content, you must choose to chat with the NPC in question and discuss three unique topics with them. Once you have done this, the next time you speak to them, you can ask to pursue a relationship with them.

Warren has 4 new sex scenes. Atalia has 3, with her 69-ing scene having two variants, one if the player has a penis and one if they have a vagina. This adds up to a total of 7 new sex scenes. The variety of sex activities is such that no matter which skills you chose to train in, you will find at least on sexual activity with either partner where your skills can be put to use. Once you’ve started a relationship, the only limit to how many times you can have sex per day is your Stamina.

-Mood and Gift System:

When you have sex with either of the new NPCs, you have a chance to put them into a good mood. A good mood can be achieve whether your fail or suceed in your effort to please them, though obviously, having sex successfully is much more likely to put them in a good mood. You will be notified when the good mood has been triggered.

When the good mood has been achieved, the next time you visit the NPCs shop they will give you a gift. The gift varies depending on the NPC. Once you have received a gift, the NPCs mood will be set to “neutral”, and you will not be able to achieve a good mood with them again until after a cool-down timer of two in-game days.

Keep in mind that while having sex with the town NPCs can bring gifts, it will not satisfy your deal with Madame Peachblossom. You will still need to take a client at least once a week to avoid being punished.

-Fusa and the Furniture Shop

A new NPC has been added to town, Fusa the non-binary kitsune. Fusa runs the newly added Furniture Shop. Any item you buy there will be added to your room and will be mentioned every time you return there. Plans are in place to not only expand on Fusa’s available dialogue, but to give options to romance and have sex with them in the next update.

-Reworks to the Ardor and Yokubo Costume Shops

If you already own one of the costumes available in the shop, the option to buy the costume will be replaced with text informing you that you already own it.

-Small Typo Fixes

-Option to launch the game in-browser has been discontinued, as the game’s authors are not able to account for all browser and device settings, and several players have reported their inability to access this function.

We hope that you will enjoy these additions to A Whore of Ardor.   Thank you for your continued support of our game.

What needs to happen before it's possible to choose three unique topics?

(1 edit)

Hi Marlowe!

Warren will have three topics available from the start of the game--the clothes he sells, his hobby and his past during the war--so I'm assuming you're talking about Atalia.

Atalia is a little slower to open up to you.  You will need to discuss the two initial topics available--where she learned magic and what she does outside of work--at least once each before her third conversation topic become available.

As with all NPCs available for conversation, you will only be able to choose one topic per day.  If you choose a unique topic and converse with them every day for three days, the option to confess your feelings will become available on the forth.

Hope this clears up your question!

I'm only getting 1 topic for Warren, just his clothes...

EDIT: Oh. I see the problem. The itch.io client version is not updated to 1.1. It's on 1.02, even though it says 1.1 is installed.

Yeah, 1.1 and 1.0.2 are both available for download separately.  1.0.2 is stable, so it seemed prudent to leave it up for those who wanted it.

Ok, but I *did* download and install v1.1, and v1.02 is no longer installed, yet it still only gives me v1.02 when I launch it.

I just tried installing v1.02 again as well, in case they were swapped accidentally. Tried launching both separately. No matter which of the two versions you launch, it launches v1.02.

Curious.  Sorry about this inconvenience, Marlowe.  I'm going to bring this up to Cyrus and see what solutions he has to offer.
