I played for a while and I think freeplay mode needs a little work. I think the dummy crewmates should be able to walk and do random tasks given and you as the main player should be able to assign the impostor role to a random dummy crewmate. This can be good for new players as they can then learn how to not get caught as a fake crewmate(but if they do get caught, all dummy players vote out the suspect).
If you already bought, go to https://itch.io/my-purchases and download the game again for free to update. It only works if you bought it from itch.io, it doesn't work if you bought it from Steam.
