Fixes and a peek at the new map!
Hey all, Victoria here! As a quick introduction, I’m the new Community Director at Innersloth (bringing us to a grand total of 4 people on the team), which means you’ll probably be hearing from me a lot more from now on.
December is shaping up to be an extremely busy month getting a bunch of things to you. So let’s dive right into the dev log!
-- Fun news --
- Awards. We’re nominated for TWO awards for The Game Awards – Best Multiplayer and Best Mobile Game. We’re seriously all blown away by everyone who has gathered around our game and are honored to even be nominated. You can vote for us to win here.
- Merch. The official Among Us merch store has launched! Now you can sabotag—er, I mean, fix spaceships in true crewmate style.
- New map peek. We launched an official Among Us Twitter with a sneak peek at the new map! Give it a follow if you want to hear the latest, but we’ll be sure to keep our community updated wherever they are.

- Comms red light no longer immediately responds to the correct position

- Fixed camera flinging on security cams
- Fixed inaccurate admin table on Polus
- Fixed Polus panels reachable through walls
- Fixed temperature mini-game in Polus for iOS
- Fix solo-complete reactor/seismic exploit
- Fix align engine exploit and softlock
-- What’s coming up? --
- Accounts. One of our biggest priorities has been to get our account system nailed down and in line with privacy policies. The first focus for accounts will be to get reporting and moderation integrated ASAP. We want our game and communities to be welcoming, respectful places, so this will be a first step in tackling the toxicity and hacking. Thank you for being excellent to each other in the meantime! If you have any issues, you can send reports to support@innersloth.com.
- Languages. We’ve been getting the game localized so Among Us can be enjoyed anywhere! Currently, the plan will be to get these languages in: French, Italian, German, Spanish EU and LA, Dutch, Russian, BR and EU Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino (Bisaya). There will be more to come, but as we said, accounts first!
- Mobile ads. There have been a lot of issues with inappropriate ads on mobile, so until 2021, they’ll be removed. Enjoy! Think of it as a small thank you for all the support you’ve given us. :) Everyone who paid to remove ads, don't worry. We're gonna re-add them and make sure you get something extra for paying. More than anything, we just want to improve everyone’s experience, and not just ignore your concerns.
Whew, did you read all that? Good, because you’ll be tested on it in the next dev log (joking). There’s going to be quite a bit of news in December, so make sure you keep an eye out on our Twitter or Discord!

E-mailed support several times about issues I have and yet I receive no help! Ridiculous!

Yeah, its been several days and still no help.
Stuff that the community has been doing:
- Mass Among Us, 100 players, 1 imposter. Basically it's hide-and-seek, where the imposter slowly kills off players while looking like them.
- Proximity chat, eg audio (or text messages) can only be seen/heard when nearby outside the meeting.
- Hide and seek (1 imposter, last non-imposter wins)
- Captain role. This is just a house rule that some voice-chat's do where RNG picks one player to be the captain (and can also be the imposter) and they get a one-time order, so they could either use it to save themselves or have everyone vote off one specific player.
I'm wondering how poorly Accounts are going to be implemented. Like every-single-game needs a 2FA system to prevent spam and greifing, but it's also a huge impediment to improptu play. So I hope regardless of accounts, peer-to-peer player or private server (eg designating one steam/apple/google account linked to the game) actually hosts it and uses the underlying service to find the host.
This is my new favourite game! 😄 I have one question, how can we add in a new mode, such as Hide and Seek or maybe a free for all imposter round, but it just randomly occurs!
When is the next update coming out?
The new map looks so cool I cant wait for it to come out!

People are banning others for no reason from theyre lobby. It isnt fun.
Happens to me all the time; Among Us is starting to get toxic...
Innersloth spammed: the new map update includes deleting the application and download it again. But it doesnt gives or unlocks the new map. It just removed very cool hats from the game. The knife hat, the devil hat, and one of our favorites... the black old doctor hat. It is spaming, and doesnt gives anything. Innersloth should put them back soon, or it will be a spam.
The most annoying thing in among us: you join a public lobby, and it has good and nice players. The host asks when does everyone wants to start. The game starts. 1 second after the game starts: you were disconnected because blablabla18342'blablabla. It is very unfair. So to fix it, i have an idea. In the menu, there is should be an option under "leave the game" that shows the players names, and near the name there is an option which is called "add friend". After you add the person, in the main menu there is a friend list. Every time one of your friends are playing among us, the friends list has a little cyrcle right & down like it is in the playstation network. The cyrcle is colored lime when your friends are playing. If they are not playing, there is no cyrcle. At the friend list, if one of your friends is playing, you can join his lobby automaticlly from the name of him/her at the friend list.
They're already working on accounts.
I hope I got the drop, unless did I have to somehow link Among Us? I dunno.

I just looked it up it said the map is coming early 2021. Idk if this is true.
well the crew did say in December. Unless they found some last Minute bugs that may take them longer But im thinking it will still be December. Hopefully soon within the week. I did hear that they probably moved it to December twelfth but it was only one video and take any video with a grain of salt.

so the drop from the game awards just got out live but for me and all the mobile players, we cant link our among us accounts to twitch so we wont be able to get the exclusive drops, i stayed up until 3.30 am for the drop on a school night :/
