Renapet June 3rd progress report


Hey everyone,

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. Admittedly, I haven't gotten as much work done as I wanted to on Renapet. I wanted the turn around for the next demo to be pretty quick, but unfortunately things didn't go as planned. I did quite a bit of work cleaning up the anal scene animations, fixing the tail animations,  while also doing the fast and very fast animations for the scene. I'm currently working on the climax animations ( In and out) for it. Once those are done, the anal scene will be pretty much completed. I've also been trying to add a bit more "juice" to the animations, so I added ass ripples to all the animations, and I'm going to also be adding SFX animations too. I'll place these animations below, but I think they will help show the impact of the animation a bit more. The slow animation has a example of what they will look like in game. They'll be dynamically generated through code on frames of impact, so I think it will add some longevity and dynamism  to the scene.

I've also been doing work on coding and designing Rena Catch. One problem I ran into while planning things out further was the fact that the player wouldn't have been punished for just spamming the catch button. So I made a "miss" or "whiff" animation that would play when Rena tried to catch something too early and in that animation, she can't catch anything. I included it along side her Idle animation just so you can see it easier.

That's about it for now. Like I mentioned earlier, unfortunately I haven't gotten as much as I wanted done and that's lead to delay in the update. To be honest, I've been in a bit of a rut when it comes to my pixel art, and I feel like it's been affecting the speed of a lot of my projects. But I'm going to try out a few things to try and get revitalized and back on track with things. I have a game I'm making about Hilda from Poke on for Patreon's monthly voted content,  that still needs a bit more work, and then I have to work on pre-production work for the next voted content in Palutena, but I'll work hard to get the demo for Renapet updated this month and show the process with you all along the way. I think these small Patreon games are helping me gain more confidence when it comes to making games, and I'm also learning a lot of things that will help the development of Renapet as well. I'll let you all know how things go.

You're doing great as usual and your animations are always amazing don't you worry it's understandable. Hope your doing well and safe in these crazier times and remember not to stress yourself out and take your time after all the saying is "can't rush perfection" right.
