Great job I really liked the combination of sound effects and the music. Gameplay was fun and enjoyable :D.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing 😎

I like it! You nailed the sound effects, that is some ear candy. Aiming was tough, but I see that most ideas to make it easy take the game out of your game, so let's leave it at that. And your graphics are very well done also. Solid little game jam package.

Thanks for playing and glad you liked it!

A very unusual concept. I'm not sure I've seen something like this before. Very good UI/UX. Congratulations.

Big fan of cannons and this was a fun play. I was expecting the cannon balls to fly faster and have a quicker drop rate but its fine as it is. Great work!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing! 😎

I love how the game looks and sounds. The targets are very satisfying to hit because of the sound effect. An indicator of where I'm aiming at would be nice. The gameplay is simple and fun.

Great game.

Ooh, I really really enjoy the visuals you got going on, it looks super pretty! I think you also did a really great job with the UI, it's really visually appealing~ I like that the idea is relatively simple, but it works very well in the execution!

Something I would have liked to see, though, is maybe a sort indicator of where the cannonball is expected to fly towards? Maybe it's just me, but I felt like there was a slight disconnect between where I was aiming + how much I was charging up, to where the cannonball actually flew to in the end. But aside from that, it was really nice! :D

Glad you enjoyed it! It's not just you, half the commenters and I agree too. But alas I didn't have time. A lot of refinement could have been done with the mechanics, scoring and win condition but I had to prioritise. Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!

Great to see these 3D games in the jam! Pretty fun and liked the way the targets came into view I thought that was quite cool.

it is very puzzling to me, to find a game that is so visually and audibly excellent and then has such basic game mechanics ;-) I mean, it must have been a concious descision, right? in that case: good for you. you really polished the sh** out of that game. I can respect that.

Developer

I made a conscious effort to limit the scope so that I had time to do life stuff outside of the jam. And I think it sort of worked! Thanks for playing!

That's great, visually it's harmonious. Two things, one is the aim that seems a bit off compare to the position of the cursor. The second is that I don't know if I won or lost, the ending is the same all the time. It's called equilibrium so I think I won by having shot 5 of each side but I'm not sure :D. I had fun shooting targets.

Developer

Yep you got the maximum score. So you basically won the game! Some refinement of the scoring and mechanics was needed but I ran out of time. thanks for playing!

This is a solid game. The models are really nice. The color palette was great. The mechanics were sharp, responsive, and felt good. The sound was great. It is an all around good game. I had a good time playing your game. It was not super inventive but for what you did you did it with polish and pizzazz. Great Job!

Developer

Thanks a lot for your kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😁

I can repeat what others said: looks like a nice mini Game - The "feel" of the Game is "quirky" like its a small part of something else? But you did very well!

Developer(+1)

The game setting is part of a larger ChatGPT generated universe, complete with comprehensive lore and world building 🤣Perhaps a project for a future game jam haha. Thanks for playing!

The game is good, but I think it's worth reducing the initial wait for the objectives or adding an additional countdown window, as you start pressing the shoot button, thinking that you need to activate the start of the game. The color of the targets should not be made pale because it can confuse the player and make it seem like the target is inactive, and you end up waiting for its activation (the color should become more saturated).

Developer

I agree with all your points - I would have done if I could but had to prioritise due to time constraints. Thanks for playing!
