This was one of the best visual novels I have ever played, personally I like the games which decides the ending on the basis of your choices and this game fulfills it by giving the player 22 endings. I got the 10th ending when I first time played it and to be honest that ending was exactly how I wanted it to be, seriously if you've never tried this game then you are probably missing a lot. All I want to say is that I loved it and will recommend it to anyone who want to try some 18+ visual novels. A 10/10 game
Is there a general problem for activating steam keys for this game in germany? Because when I tried to activate mine steam told me that this product isn't available in my country. Also (just out of curiosity): Why does the itch-version of this game -as far as I saw from a comment from you, Cactus- include scenes, that aren't in the steam version? (Something about a "breastfeeding scene" or something; not sure if there is other stuff).
STEAM in Germany basically outlawed all adult material, including our game. STEAM doesn't allow the 'breastfeeding' because in their eyes its child-material in an adult-based game, which is a no-no. So rather than try and fight that for a simple ending scene CG, we just removed that bit from the STEAM version altogether.
If you're on Germany, you can't even buy on STEAM.
If you're anywhere else in the world, STEAM version is fine, just missing the one CG.
itch.io takes less of a cut of the profits versus STEAM, and includes all intended CGs. Plus buying on itch.io also includes an extra STEAM key, so its what I'd recommend.
Yes and no. Prince of Suburbia is a thing. A game with breastfeeding in it. On steam. Thats why I don't get it, you know? :( Steam is being weird... But thanks for clearing up my confusion.^^ Also: I can activate several other adult games (their steam keys I mean) but not this one. Just as weird despite them being 3d and therefore counting more as "almost real porn" and thus "violation of terms and services" than this game does. :/ Why can't they leave your game tf alone, for christ sakes?!
Dunno about Prince of Suburbia or other games, or why their content was allowed. Perhaps Valve's compliance team overlooked it. Perhaps it was patched in after the game was approved. Perhaps Valve's policies about said content has changed over time. No matter the reason, I don't think it's worth risking Maid Mansion being taken down from Steam just to add a very minor bit of content. If you really want the removed scene on Steam, you can just move a "bpatch.rpa" file from the Itch downloadable version into the Steam version's files, and that'll restore the missing content.
As for the game keys, the only explanation that I can think of is that the other adult games you mention are distributing "Beta keys" rather than keys for standard retail copies of the game. Beta keys override things like region-locking, which would allow customers in Germany to own the game, but those kind of keys are definitely not supposed to be distributed to the public.
I just found all the endings, and I love it! I would love to have more interaction with Akemi and Mutusumi. I'll keep track on this, hopefully some day we get this both sexy girls.
Any chance of making the Soundtrack a separately-available purchasable download on this website? I bought the game without it, but would consider getting it here.
On the main menu, in the upper right corner you'll see country flags. When you hover the mouse over them, you can see the different languages. English, Spanish, French, Russian, etc...
I cant open the Android .apk file to install the game either. Not sure if it's a bad file, or one that's been compressed some how. Cannot recommend trying to buy for Android at this time.
UPDATE - problem appears to have been on my end - the file installed without difficulty when I tried it the next day!
As I mentioned below, I unfortunately can't offer much help with Android. I only have a PC to test game builds on. As a side note: all purchases of Maid Mansion on itch.io also include a STEAM key upon purchase.

So if I buy it here on itch I don't need to use Steam, right? The Steam key is just a bonus?
Currently, we still offer a free STEAM key to any person that purchases an itch.io copy/version. You don't need to use STEAM.
