Where would my save file be to move to a new version? I can't find it anywhere, and I confirmed that I do have saved progress on the old version. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a recurring problem with PCs with low resolution and inferior graphics card. I suggest you try to solve it with resolution or deactivate the antivirus when installing, you could also update your direct11 or 12.
just got the new update 1.4 and still not worth playing. as it stands the only way to earn cash is the arcade mode and even in easy the arcade mode is impossible . the round lasts 1 minut at most and power gose out and you get caught buy one of the girls so there is no way to earn cash .
the least the developers could do is make some desk top pics and waiting screen so theres at least something usfull in the download besides an unplayable " game " .

The difficulty definitely comes from lack of information given to the player. Ideally, this gets fixed during Story mode, where we are slowly introduced to objectives over time and given express instructions on where to go and what to grab.
But as you've already said, there are videos on youtube regarding this for Arcade mode. As long as you know how to actually complete objectives, Easy and Normal Arcade should be pretty easy. You can generally do two objectives at a time on Easy (you can reset Chiku's timer from the computer room on Easy).
Normal, you should definitely only do one objective at a time, run back and reset the girls between each (must go to the Kitchen on Normal or Hard for Chiku). You can probably get away with two if you purchased a helper and use it to make a distraction. While I haven't done extensive testing, I feel like when the power goes out, it slows down the girls' countdown a bit. I need to test that some more.
Hard, I wouldn't even go near, though. Definitely requires knowledge and proper movement, along with helpers, to fully complete. Not really worth doing except for your own satisfaction. Or do what Jermain said and just get easy money to buy yourself some boosts if you're still struggling with lower difficulties.
This all being said...really wish the dang auto-run wouldn't get stuck. That's my main complaint lol.
My guy this game isn't hard at all. Grab the fuse box from the Staff room at the start of everyrun in case power goes out. From there just cycle through one task then run back to the office and reset all of the girls timers then go back to one task. Don't try to speed run all of the tasks at once, you have a lot of time to get them all done. The important thing is not letting any of the girls get out cause once you do your pretty much fucked from there since the map is so small and they tend to congregate in the main hall where you have to go to do all of your tasks.
Buy the syringes and you'll have infinite sprint making things even easier.
current state? 7/10 The girls are modeled wonderfully. The gameplay is super fun. The humor is top notch. I love the concept of a horny horror title. Like even when you lose, you win. The concept really makes the whole horror genre more accessible because it's not just about being scared, just nervously horny which I find insanely fun. Trying to get the puzzle in the dining room? what a rush. I hope you stick with that formula going forward because actually like getting killed can ruin the whole mood, like the photo in the vents kinda killed my whole session when I was trying to figure out the unlockable in the arcade.
I do think the H scenes need a little more work. The positions are awkward and the main character moves weird and there is decent amount of clipping. Don't get me wrong this game is fun enough to play it just for the gameplay, but it is an adult game and with everything else so polished it kinda stuck out.

Here's a trick that might help: Visualize what the picture should look like and then try to move the slots to the correct spot. I'm no master at it, but this trick has always helped me with the puzzle.
I actually had to watch a video on how to solve slide puzzles to understand how to beat these. The TLDR; solve top left to top right then middle left to middle right. You have two types of rotation, one you probably know, the other is to put the piece you want in the center and rotate the rest around it until it is in order when you go around the ring again.

If you want to make money easy just go into hard mode and sit in the vent. You make money even if you do Nothing.
