Hi there! I am trying to get on with the new mac option but it won't work, whenever I try to open it, it stops working! I checked my settings and asloud it, moved it to applications, any tips? (please, I really wanna play!)
This game is awesome and amazing!!! IF you could, could you add blind and deaf cats, and make death scenes? I know it might be hard to do the drawing (even harder, animation) but IF YOU WANT TO it could be a fun challenge...

Suggestions are closed right now! But you can join the discord for updates when they are open. Also the option to Rename cats is set for the next release I believe but as for now you can go into the files and change their name.
ok so this happened to me,i tried just clicking the black screen multiple times and that worked.try it,if it changes from cookie cutter to clan gen you know it worked
this is an amazing game!! I love it so much. I also have a few ideas to improve it! like with the patrol option maybe have a background and some animation for it? and add gatherings! these are the best ideas I have so far! ill come back with new ones later :)
Hey! I recently got the game, and I enjoyed it! Logged off my computer for a quick sun break and now I can't get back on due to "failure to obtain/convert traceback!" I currently use the newest Windows release and have downloaded it multiple times! I even tried directly on the 'main' application, which is how I got on in the first place. Is it an issue with my computer? What do I do?
Hello! I think I had the same problem, and don’t worry your computer should be fine. The way I fixed it is going where you open the game with “sprites,resources,saves” etc, and click on Saves. Then open the application that says (Clan name)cats using notepad, and find the cat with a : in place of their gender. I believe it happens with cats with only one syllable names. Make it so the : is like this (Cat name): and the ,(insert gender) is next to it. It was also my newest cat with this problem, but it may be different for you.

Hello! I Love this game so much but I found a bug where when my medicine cat dies I cant make a new one? Like this has happened twice, and I can't get a new med?
I've been playing this game for a little bit now and I love it!
However, my friend and I ran into an... interesting issue with mates, specifically characters deciding to be mates with family. In my situation, it was two cousins getting together and in my friend's situation, it was an uncle and niece.
I was wondering if there was any way for you to patch this. I'm not sure if it is possible because you would have to expand what counts as family. I may just have to keep a closer eye on the cats and who they decide to get with, but it would be very nice if someone figured out a way to fix this issue lol
since downloading the update, loners don't take a suffix when joining the clan. is this an intentional choice or a bug? also, i think a good feature would be listing cause of death on starclan cats' pages :)
Very addictive,i do have a suggestion tho. SO maybe if like a cat acts suspicious a lot or other cats find them suspicious a lot,maybe they could go to the dark forest,because my starclan cats worry about the darkforest a lot,so it would be cool to have cats there. and if that happens, maybe like when you click on a starclan cat it could say ' [starclan cat] is worried about [darkforest cat] ' but idk tho just thought it sounded like a pretty cool idea
after skimming the comments i do have to agree it would be nice if the accidents that cause warriors/apprentices to retire to the elder's den being a percent chance to remain a warrior or perhaps become a medicine cat instead would be nice (perhaps be able to reassign role to medicine cat past apprenticeship in general sometimes if an elderly medicine cat dies early game you get stuck waiting on kits to be born and old enough lol)
related: when my warrior ridgebird was an early retiree he still had an apprentice so it would have been nice if that apprentice was auto reassigned to a mentor that could go on patrols with him
and this could be a me problem lol but it would be nice if you could link / preassign certain cats to go on patrol together bc i do end up with particular pairings / groups / mentor/apprentices that i like sending out together and when the clan gets big i have to reroll a ton of times for them to actually be available to do so lol
perhaps there could even be an alternate tab to patrols called 'training' that is specifically for sending out mentor/apprentice patrols with different flavor text and more reliably rewards experience to your low experience cats (bad things could still happen but have lower odds) but is only available for cats with an active apprentice
having a feature similar for medicine cats errands would also be neat and not feel like they are just stuck in camp

Heyy i'm having a problem with my clan saves. (I have a Windows 11 FYI)
So after playing with my first clan for a while, i made a new one. I switched back to my first clan, which restarts the game. After trying to open the app i got an error message. I extracted the files and was able to open it, but my clans (and what i put my setting as) are gone. After poking around a bit, i realized my clans and their cats are all in my files somewhere, but they will not appear in-game. I have tried opening the clan files through the application but i get an error message. If anyone has a fix or ideas as to what i should do, please let me know ^^
Edit: Still haven't figured it out, but i think the problem is that some kind of file called "sprite/down" is missing and that's what is causing the error i get whenever i try opening my clan saves through the app.

the glitch for the chrome book is still a thing. What I found worked to get it to work again was clicking on the screen repeatedly then waiting. This only worked for me a couple times and it might take a few tries but that’s the solution I found. Seems the bug is still a thing. Im getting a .CRDOWNLOAD file instead of a .ZIP file when I open my files or press "Show in folder" what should i do? Its happening for both old and new downloads on windows.
Edit: Even though I am on windows I did try the mac version. Same thing happens.

this game is really fun but I was wondering why if your cat gets hit by a car and survives or something like that they get sent to the elder den? I have no problem with apart from when it comes to apps, they aren't given a chance to turn into a warrior and are just labelled as an elder from now on which is a bit annoying. I've also been wondering why when nearly my whole clan has mates I haven't been getting any kittens. I even put the 'allow un-mated cats to have kittens' option on but sometimes it isn't marked as an event when they do have kittens.
Most likely because if a cat gets ran over if they aren't killed it would be expected that they get a broken leg/broken spine/other serious injury/disability that would cause them to go to the elders den
Broken spine, sure. Broken or missing leg, or blindness like the game sometimes gives? Hell no. Real cats can thrive perfectly fine without sight or even without two legs. ESPECIALLY in a clan where they have magic cat doctors with magic medicine that would normally kill a cat irl.
And paralysis would kill the cat since paralyzed cats can't ahem... make dirt on their own or would leak 'dirt' everywhere. Also the broken spine bones could pierce internal organs killing the cat
Download the windows version, then go into your downloads folder and right click the file you downloaded, and click "extract all". Then go into the folder it made and double click main.exr

I was actually curious, when I start a new clan and click save clan, I close the game and when I open it again none of the saved clans are there and all my settings are wiped. I was curious if anyone else is having that problem and if its possible to fix it?

that's your computer antivirus kicking in- that's largely a good thing, since this does look like an unreliable file to most computers! if you control-click on it, you should be able to hit Open, and from there keep persisting trying to open it till it lets you.
love love this so much <3 really nothing to complain it is a solid generator and fun experience for making random stories and the pixels are so cute
however if yall are working on expanding this here are my thoughts -
two features that would nice to be added:
- a log of past events
- cause of death listed in the starclan profiles
- option to rename the cats? may be a little against the spirit of it but there is something fun about throwing in an old oc with a bunch of random new ones

and these seem more involved but i would also be interested in a toggleable nonbinary cats option similar to the same sex pairing? or toggleable to not use genders at all (in the same vein as cattails)
polyamory toggle and if the profiles kept previous mates that they've had kits with would be great too (i have lots of Divorced cats and cats who remarry after their mate died lmao)
option to have adopted kits/siblings in the profile?
... You do realize that in the Warrior Cat series, "sharing tongues" is a friendly, fully PLATONIC interaction of cats helping each other clean their pelts as well as exchanging gossip?
soooooooo im on chromebook alright,but when i try to click the link to be able to play its just a black screen.ive tried reloading and for just a second after it shows a light blue screen with something at the top that says"downloading" and a black box on the top right corner.if anyone knows how to fix this please tell me.

an option to delete clans you no longer use or want (i tried deleting the file but it broke the game)
an option to rename/make cats
gatherings
listing the cause of death on starclan cats pages
oh also an ability to fullscreen

I've had cats get crushes on their siblings as well. The only thing i can think of is assign mates yourself :(

It's an intended feature! There is a chance the loner will gain a warrior name though.

like here,if there was a darkforest tuliprump would go there for killing lightwater
I wish other clans could exist, and fight or team up,and we could have seperate saves for Each of our clans.

this game is addictive
some suggestions:
- it’s possible for cats to break the code (like bloodthirsty cats killing others) it would be rlly interesting and add to the story
- former mates list because it only shows if a cats mate dies and if you break them up (which should happen automatically) it will remove it
- log of all the moons
- cats can break up on their own (this hasn’t happened to me so i think it isnt there)
- medicine cats can be able to go out and collect herbs and stuff, else they dont really do anything
- a search option for if youre choosing cats for patrol or looking at the cat list so its easier to find cats in bigger clans
- reason of death for starclan cats
- a small chance cats have a miscarriage or have still born cats
- a confirmation after pressing ‘kill cat’ 😭
- cats are pregnant for two months, so i think the month before it should say ‘_ is pregnant’
They can break up on their own

And you kind of need to make it accessible. On tablets and phones too..

make sure you've put it in your applications folder- I know it seems like a weird thing to matter, but it works :)
You need to be on MacOS 11 or higher.
