I think an option to exile a cat would be awesome! It would add a nice touch to a storyline we may want to create, this option would be especially cool if a cat was murdered (one of death options already in the game) and in our storyline's we have a suspect.

I see you've been getting a lot of suggestions, and I would like to make another very small one: now that the game picks mentors for the apprentices, can each cat's apprentice or mentor come up on the screen when sending out patrols? My memory is super bad, and it would be neat to send them out on patrol in the mentor/apprentice pairs easily.
I would absolutely LOVE to see the ability to remote-switch between a few different clans and have them interact with eachother. + a setting to choose whether or not you want autonomous unmonitored clans? Obviously something for a future update but it could make the inter-clan tension more interesting. <3

whenever I try to open the august 10 release, it just closes itself (MacBook Air) and the august 1 release just gives me the source file. I even tried running the windows version through wine, but that doesn't work either. anyone else going through this?
I've had a lot of fun playing this game and getting so attached to the little pixel cats. It can keep me entertained for hours and you should be proud of yourselves! I think three features/changes would make this game even more enjoyable and keep me playing for even longer.
1. The ability to give cats warrior names. Their prefixes can be generated, but I know that I'd become much more attached to these cats if I got to name them upon their becoming warriors.
2. A cat becoming injured due to an accident should not always immediately mean they have to retire.
3. The ability to choose what cat mentors which apprentice. Again, a great way to feel like you have a little more control over your clan and make it feel more personal and more yours.
Thank you again for making an awesome little game, keep up the good work! I can't wait to see where it goes in the future!
It's a pity that for example deaf or blind cat immediately is moved to the elders den. I mean, if a cat was in a major accidant and received major injuries and is moved to the elders den then it's pretty understanable.
this game is amazing! i might have a few ideas for it-
1. Leaders should have 9 lives, it wouldnt make sense that leaders could just die like normal clan cats
2. maybe add limb loss? they could loose a leg or a paw instead of only the tail?
3.inform us when a queen is pregnant,it would take 3 moons for her to have the litter
4.maybe we could change names of cats? name kits? or make names for loners or kittypets who joined!
5.add drama! cats could cheat and have litters with another cat,it can be optional or just natural
6.maybe wen cats loose tails or get scars the med gets some exp? it would be an intresting feautue to know that the medicine cat is treating the cats
7.when cats just got a scar,they would have dock leaves or yarrow over it?
8.we just got the collars added but i think the cats would be able to have more eccesorys,such as vines,bows,bells on their collars?
9.alot of people have asked for these,and i understand it probably wont get added bc they would be pretty hard to make/draw, tho adding fights,clan meetings,gatherings,maybe even convincing rogues or kittypets? it would give you options like: be hostile/welcome them or: tell them obout the clan/Attack them.
10, medicine cat would be able to go to the moonstone and talk to starclan,just a little feauture that i would enjoy-
11.i have so many ideas but this is the last one,add curled ears? flopped ears? blindness,deaf?

I have a few things I'd like to see, though-
- Prophecies. The ability to put a cat in a prophecy would be really nice, and maybe a Moonstone/Moonpool to go along with it?
- Maybe other options for what your Clan looks like, I know it would take a lot of art but maybe options for different kinds of forests, deserts and other biomes like tundras?
- The ability to maybe, in the future, have an option where you can make either a Clan or a rogue group. Along with this, I'd like for the Clans you encounter on your patrols to correspond with your own Clans, if you have any. For example, if you're playing in a Clan called BlueClan, and you have a Clan called FlowerClan, maybe BlueClan and FlowerClan could interact in a patrol somehow? Along with this, also a gathering feature?
1: it would be cool if you could see the reasons for death in the profiles of the dead cats. same thing with scars, that there is a list of all the scars a cat has and how they were caused.
2: a option that you can decide by yourself when a cat have babys (my clan is overpopulated after a few minutes :P).
3: that you could see which cats are friends and how good the relationship is. and also which cats don't get along so well.
4: to interact with other clans, for example clan wars, attacks on clans or the fourtrees meetings.
so maybe i write more ideas later but thats all atm :).

So! A quick example on how the cats would fight their rivals, when you click on one of the rivals (Like you would with one of your cats) will put a random cat and the rival in a fight, you will have multiple options on how to attack your rival! (Going for the neck, tail, leg etc along with just normal biting and clawing)
I just think it would be fun! And here's another idea!
holding clan meetings
Say one cat was murdered in the clan, the leader could hold a meeting to discuss it and maybe a cat could come fourth (or maybe not >:D)

Hi, I'm having trouble loading the game on MacBook Air, the Aug. 10 release is working much better than the Aug. 1 release but whenever I click on the icon for the game, it doesn't let me open it? This is still a huge improvement from the previous update so I'm grateful, please help!
This game is so fun! I love all the new updates! Maybe you can add a way to see how each cat died in their Starclan profile? It's hard to remember when you have a bunch of Starclan cats.

1. The dark forest, scents we have star clan id love to see an option for a cat from the staring day (like in starclan where a cat guids you). Along with interactions when time skipping moons or in cats profiles (Example- (Cat) had a dream in a dark forest, with injured cats around them, (Cat) has been secretly training in the dark forest and has earned a scar, (Cat) has died during a training day in the dark forest and more!.
2. Would love some more interactions during events even as simple as (Cat) picked some flowers for (cat) today, (Cat) has gotten a contagious flu, (Cat/cats) are playing in the snow today, (Cat) is running out of herbs, etc : DD. Just some simple small things to put in those in between days where nothing is happening!.
3. Id love small interactions with starclan and the clan cats. Like maybe (Leader cat) had a vision of kits (or what ever you wanted), (Ghostcat) is fondly watching over (Cat), (Ghostcat) is angerly watching (Cat), (Ghostcat) wants to protect (cat), (Ghostcat( is thinking of reincarnation, (Ghostcat) is thinking of prophecies for the clan,
4. Just some more general interaction (Cat) was thinking about kitty pets, The patrol comes across a kitty pet, the patrol sees a kitty pet wanting to join, (Cat)is thinking about becoming a kitty pet, (Cat) dose not want half-clan cats, (Cat) wants to explore the territory, The patrol comes across a strange sent (either a new eneamy or a random cat/two leg), (Cat)'s is thinking of their favourite prey/flower/ect, (Cat) is in love with (Cat)
5. Mabye some cats have 'powers' like the three??, sorta like how some cats have a strong connection with starclan some cats might be Super strong or have a lot of visions.
6. Mabye blind/deaf cats or cats with a missing limb (add to scaring and more interactions) ? Ok that's it : DDD cant wait to see more developments to this amazing game/generator
hello ! i'm having trouble opening up the game on windows. once i get to the main.exe file, i click it and it says i can't open it and i'm not sure why. it doesn't have a specific reason to it. and i don't have discord (by choice, i'd rather not dig myself into that app knowing how much stuff occurs on there), so i'm not sure how to get help of the situation other then trying to comment on here and hopefully get some good advice.
This generator is absolutely fantastic! It's so immersive and fun to play, I can easily lose myself in this game and just spend hours with one Clan. I really think you guys have something amazing here and it holds so much potential! Just wanted to second a lot of people's suggestions to boost them a lil!
- Would love to see special roles (deputy, leader, med cat, etc.) actually have special features!! Such as leaders having 9 lives, med cats having connections with StarClan, etc.!
- I think it would be amazing if patrols were more immersive! A lot of people suggested altercations between your Clan and other Clans occurring. I would also love to see activities other than patrols - maybe the option to send a certain group of cats to Gatherings, more deaths, mentor/apprentice scenarios!
I think other users like Pumpkin and wannaeatmyfeels put it better than me, but yeah. I love this game and what it is now, and I'm sure you guys are working very hard, so thank you for what you made!
i wanna play this game but i cant, and before you start thinking its cause of my parants or something its not. i am on mac and i have tryed to to what the instructions say to dowload this game and everything is fine untill i get to the extract button. i cant find the extract button on mac and so when i press on main i get nothing but a little bit of computer code. (sorry if i didnt explain it more properly)
If you got to main that means you have extracted it (at least from my understanding) but the real issue is that it's probably saying; bad CPU type in executable or bad CPU type in executable logout, if you don't have zsh. I also want to play the game but because of this error I can't, though apparently downloading Rosetta 2 might help but that isn't available for my mac.
Excuse me, Sable? I have a request. I have a semi-old computer, and a popup message for this game says that it "cannot open software" because it "cannot check the software for malicious content". Love this game, but I do have a few ideas:
-A spot to see family trees, it would make it easier to see who's related to who
-Cats in StarClan could have messages about being in StarClan
-The ability to view a cat's profile while on patrol so it's easy to see who has what skill
-There could also be a button to exile a cat/have them move out of the clan in case you don't want to kill them

Queens should be pregnant for 2 moons not 3 bc thats how long a real cat pregnancy is

I think you can go to system preferences and then security and privacy, and you should see open anyways towards the bottom.

I have the exact same issue! How have you been able to open it though?
Here are my steps:
1- Download Aug. 10 Release
2- Go into 'Downloads' in Finder
3- Open "aug_10_2022_mac" and open "release.zip"
4- That opens a window with "Clangen.dmg" and "release.zip", I click "Clangen.dmg"
5- That opens another window with two icons, "Applications" and "Clangen" with the Clangen logo, so I click on it.
6- I am offered to open it, I let my computer open it, and it closes in on itself, not letting me play the game sadly :(
edit: I haven't played the game at all, just tried opening it and it doesn't let me

You have to use the beta mac version. That's what worked for me. I think the Aug. 1 release is for newer macs or something like that.
