First impression of this game, I don't really like the "sketch" style of the cutscene. but When I losing to the slime.. I just realized that my first impression was wrong. The CG have many angle / have continuation of what happened. THAT WORTH OF QUANTITY OVER QUALITY. Because VN game usually use great CG quality, and only use 1 / 2 Variation, but this game is different. I really like it. if you want to "improve" your CG, Please do not reduce the amount of CG, keep it like that. But maybe you can use high quality CG for 1 or 2 Very important scene / chars sprite.
and Tentacle, Rape kinks. Perfect. No more question, my desire fulfilled.
Mini events / Hidden contraction like "chest slime" it's very good and interesting. which brings "exploration" aspect a little more excited~

Is there any particular trick to the river vines scene, when you're rescuing Kuno again? It SEEMS completely arbitrary when I'm getting caught, but I can't be certain.
I mean not exactly that I MIND getting caught, at least once or twice xD
The river vines alternate between being up and being down. When they're up and above the water, they'll grab you when you jump. When they're down, you can cross.
If you really can't tell which state they're in... jump, see what happens and make note of which one of the two states the vines were in. If you make it successfully, great, do that again. If you get caught... then do the opposite.
Not sure what else to say. I feel like it's fairly obvious...? But I also helped make and test the game, so of course I know what's up.

The "cliffside lake" scene can be unlocked by wearing the slimy black thong in the forest... and travelling to the East / Right, past the green slimes and trying to escape.
I believe the "pulsating strip of slimy rubber" scene is unlocked by losing the combat tutorial right at the beginning of the game!
Don't worry, you don't need to play through the entire game again. Just unlock these scenes on another file and they'll appear in your gallery at the end of the game!

The unmarked key isn't used for anything... yet. Future versions!
As for scenes that need high corruption to unlock, the mercenary commander's one is the only one. The blacksmith "suiting up" scene has a variation if you've got more corruption, however! If you've already got 10 points it'll be viewable in the gallery.
Hello, I think I've encountered a minor bug, nothing big really. It seems that once your corruption is too high, it won't display how much corruption you exactly have.
I think it stops displaying when your corruption is above 50, the last time I was able to check was 47.
Yeah, that's a known bug. Right now though there's no content in the game that needs Corruption higher than 10, it's simply a buffer zone for us to add future events.
If / when we get to the point where we expect players to have that amount of corruption, we'll make sure to fix the issue.
i just had a thought,why is grove uncircumsized? you realize the amount of bacteria that forms under there? its ugly, its nasty, it gets infected easily, im not complaining just making an observation, i just think it would make so much more sense to do it, its just a flap of skin we no longer need and it creates disease and looks ugly, can we have it removed in later builds? once again not complaining, just an observation, men that are uncut are more likely to get sick.
Maybe in the past? Its not like washing yourself now a days is hard to do. If you dont like the look of uncut thats fine, but all that "It gets infected easily" stuff does not hold as much water now a days as it used to.
Actually its still a thing, plus its ugly, its healthier to be cut, its a useless flap of skin that is no longer needed, modern men still get sick from forgetting to wash it, it serves no purpose.
Actually... It does serve a purpose. Same kind that a mammal's sheath does: Protect the most sensitive portion of the penis (the glans for us) from abrasion and such. Circumsized, or more properly, mutilated males have lower sensitivity in the glans for this reason.
Secondly, those who get ill, do so from not washing... Which isn't any more tedious than washing one's pits (which I would hope nobody finds tedious). So long as one washes, which literally just takes some clean water, infection rate is near zero.
It being "ugly" is purely your opinion. I find them quite fetching, myself.

Just got this game, so far loving it, really nostalgic gameplay. Something that would be nice (Not sure if you have plans for it or not) would be a kind of cross save gallery, that way you dont have to initiate the actual scenes to view them. But amazing game so far!
idk if I'm the only one having this problem, but I play on MacOS, and the game would only show the logo, and then close, and I'd get a notification saying the game quit expectedly. Is there a way to work around this that you know of? (I've never had a computer until a month ago, and I'm still learning how to use this)
I've finished the game but there are still a few things I can't figure out how to do (I think this may be a bug with my computer).
First of all, I can't find the glory hole from the start of the game, so any time I've worn the black underwear it always ends in me having to start the game again because I can't get any further. It seems like the glory hole is in the blocked area of the forest behind the purple sigil, but when I go in there there is a green slime blocking the thing that I think is the glory hole and it jumps at me instantly gives me game over.
This is just one of a few things that the walkthrough says is possible but I can't get it to work on my game, but any help would be amazing <3
I honestly don't remember this part well (it was a long time ago that I played it), but the "gloryhole" is the tablet at the back of the cave. As far as I recall the only obstacles in there are the slimes that charge at you when you move through the maze but if you are quick, you can get past them and they just fall down into the holes. I might be remembering wrong, but I don't recall there being a slime right in front of the tablet. Also, putting on the underwear literally just before going past the sigil means that you have less lust/corruption to worry about, so if there is a fight scene you can survive it.
You were on the right path, you just need to dodge that final green slime!
When it appears, you can either rush forward to your destination... or you can run backwards where you came from, and the slime will miss you! Then you can go check out the glory hole scene

1: The game only works running it from the .zip or playing it from the index.html in the firefox browser (this is normal isn't it?) because when I run directly the .exe from the unzipped .zip it doesn't work well and when I see in the windows 7 task manager there are several processes moving up and down with the names; GROVE, grove, grove, grove, grove, grove
it's very strange and i don't understand why it doesn't work well, because when i run it from the .zip it works perfectly up to a certain point and in the task manager the processes are different and this time the 4 processes have the name in capital letters (i don't know if this has something to do with it).
but well, I don't mind too much as long as I can use itchio's launcher.
although running the game from the itchio launcher, i have very bad fps and it crashes more often.
2: Another problem I have is that when I get to the desert zone, the game crashes after entering the zone and waiting a few seconds, although I have the theory that if I get to that zone running the game from the browser it might not crash or damage the game, the only problem with playing from the browser is that it doesn't let me load saved files and.... well... you can imagine :/
Maybe, and I think so, these problems are due to my laptop and its low performance, you see, my laptop has very low requirements but it runs some other rpg's (some, I mean very few) , what I don't understand is why the game runs so bad, is it possible that my laptop is missing a couple of drivers or something?

Looking at your computer specs, unfortunately the system requirements for an RPGMAKER game is about 4gb in RAM, with Grove potentially requiring a little bit more due to the presence of large .png images. It also doesn't help that the MV engine isn't the most optimised thing in the world, but we'll try and improve the overall performance of the engine in the future.
Regarding your zip issue:
I have a feeling that the zip issues are caused by your low system specs, with a browser potentially only loading certain scenes, hence the better performance. This is evident when you mentioned you crash in the Desert area as there are a few large assets there, but performance in the area in general isn't all too great for a few with decent rigs. We're looking into that for the next update as well.

i kinda like this idea, like turn off the game over screen in the gallery so its easyer to keep browsing it without being reliant on just clicking the game over scene button, and the outfit seems to regen constantly, i sucessfully did a nude playthrough, didnt even have trouble in the jungle level in the water, will we be able to come back and save the lost and traped adventurers later in that region? seem callous just to say "oh well" and leave them, wont they eventually die from something like that? the body can only take so much stress like that, and the pods, did the occupants get digested or something? and why cant we cut them open like rinnal? it just seems odd, so many people stuck and nothing we can do, the open pods, did they kill and digest before opening? or are they walking around somewhere in some shambleing state? if so, where are they? and will there be group fighting? like multiple teammates to order different attacks from and multiple foes at once too? and can we have any news on the possibilty of cursed clothing? and new monsters too, i prefere them rather than actual m/m scenes, i enjoy the story alot, i just like the monsters more is all, just give us a heads up when the update is getting near, i believe its possible to enjoy this game and be straight too, this game has plenty of potential, i would like to see it grow, odly enough its actually hard to find straight lizard games, i prefere them to furs.
dragons and other lizards have always looked cool and facinating, thats all, not here to offend, just co-existing with my own preferences as a straight guy, life sure feels backwards these days...

I'm assuming you haven't unzipped the file? Make sure you don't play directly from the downloaded .ZIP, and to extract it first. You can do this via right clicking the file, and extracting it to the folder or desktop. Alternatively, you can also open the zip folder, and drag the first 'GROVE' folder onto the desktop
Apologies for the performance dip, we have some performance improvements in the works for the next update that should fix that issue. For now, making use of the mouse has been a common tactic players use that have issues navigating through.
Well, the issue is that in that part the player must lead the character through the briges before they change color... Anyway, your game is amasing ^^ and the creator is even more amazing ;3
This game has the feel of Undertale and Final Fantasy which I definitely love and the characters and nsfw scenes are to die for ( no pun intended ). There is only one question that I have regarding stats and combat. I noticed that there is a MATK stat but I have yet to find any skills or weapons based on this stat. Have they been implemented yet or is that aspect still in development? Also, will there be any support magic ( i.e. healing/buffing skills implemented and if so, how will they scale?
Currently, MATK is a blank stat and will likely not make it into the complete game. Magic and the such is being considered and developed upon, and should be implemented in a future build.

You can play on android via JoiPlay emulator, but it is not fully supported and there are visual bugs. If you don't mind using cheats, you can skip some of the areas that have issues, but it will result in a less than optimal play experience.
We only recommend playing via android JoiPlay if you have NO alternative options.
I'm enjoying this game a lot but I'm stuck after exploring the Northen Settlement with the blacksmith, the game doesn't seem to progress any further when teleporting back to the inn. I've talked to the wizard, commander, and blacksmith. I've been stuck for an hour haha.
Your next destination is the jungle to the south. Leave the Quiet Meadow settlement by the bottom left exit, follow the path to the cliffs, and then head south...!

Hmm after i gave the strange suit (the one from the bandit place) the game sorta glitched out and the characters stay on screen and i dint get the suit back
If you go to your menu > key items > documents case and use it to teleport anywhere, it should clear this visual bug. You'll get the bandit suit back later in the game, so don't worry about that just yet.
This is a known error and has been fixed in our development build too, so it'll be gone in the future. For now, just use the teleportation fix, please!

Was trying to get the reward for The Rubbery Slime strip, item and only got the blacksmith scene. Is the reward implemented in .204 or is the blacksmith scene the reward?
So if you go into the slime cave core (where the slime dragons are) and loss to one they coat you in slime. You can then go to the fire in the room and it will give you the Slime Strip which you can take to the wizard and have researched. I just don't know if the cutscene with the blacksmith afterward is all that is supposed to happen.
The cutscene with the blacksmith where he... 'uses' the slime slab is all that's supposed to happen right now. If you haven't triggered that yet... look at the blacksmith's shop and see if you can find the slime slab there!
The completion and gameplay of the game impressed me the most. Aside from my little hobby （XD）, I've always wanted to see what the story will be like, so far I've experienced it pretty much, I still can't open the locked door, but it doesn't matter, I strongly support it. I had a problem with the sponsorship process, hopefully I can fix it later. You're the best game producer ever!

The commander's tent required your corruption point to be 10 or higher to be able to unlock the special scene after sneak in his tent 3 times.

i just had a thought,why is grove uncircumsized? you realize the amount of bacteria that forms under there? its ugly, its nasty, it gets infected easily, im not complaining just making an observation, i just think it would make so much more sense to do it, its just a flap of skin we no longer need and it creates disease and looks ugly, can we have it removed in later builds? once again not complaining, just an observation, men that are uncut are more likely to get sick.

Actually its still a thing, plus its ugly, its healthier to be cut, its a useless flap of skin that is no longer needed, modern men still get sick from forgetting to wash it, it serves no purpose.

Actually... It does serve a purpose. Same kind that a mammal's sheath does: Protect the most sensitive portion of the penis (the glans for us) from abrasion and such. Circumsized, or more properly, mutilated males have lower sensitivity in the glans for this reason.
Secondly, those who get ill, do so from not washing... Which isn't any more tedious than washing one's pits (which I would hope nobody finds tedious). So long as one washes, which literally just takes some clean water, infection rate is near zero.
It being "ugly" is purely your opinion. I find them quite fetching, myself.
The ideas behind circumcision are primarily tradition, a disgusting one started by an equally vile man by the name of Kelogg. Learn your history and actually check/investigate studies rather than allow them to confirm your bias.

Just got this game, so far loving it, really nostalgic gameplay. Something that would be nice (Not sure if you have plans for it or not) would be a kind of cross save gallery, that way you dont have to initiate the actual scenes to view them. But amazing game so far!

idk if I'm the only one having this problem, but I play on MacOS, and the game would only show the logo, and then close, and I'd get a notification saying the game quit expectedly. Is there a way to work around this that you know of? (I've never had a computer until a month ago, and I'm still learning how to use this)

I've finished the game but there are still a few things I can't figure out how to do (I think this may be a bug with my computer).
First of all, I can't find the glory hole from the start of the game, so any time I've worn the black underwear it always ends in me having to start the game again because I can't get any further. It seems like the glory hole is in the blocked area of the forest behind the purple sigil, but when I go in there there is a green slime blocking the thing that I think is the glory hole and it jumps at me instantly gives me game over.
This is just one of a few things that the walkthrough says is possible but I can't get it to work on my game, but any help would be amazing <3
I honestly don't remember this part well (it was a long time ago that I played it), but the "gloryhole" is the tablet at the back of the cave. As far as I recall the only obstacles in there are the slimes that charge at you when you move through the maze but if you are quick, you can get past them and they just fall down into the holes. I might be remembering wrong, but I don't recall there being a slime right in front of the tablet. Also, putting on the underwear literally just before going past the sigil means that you have less lust/corruption to worry about, so if there is a fight scene you can survive it.
You were on the right path, you just need to dodge that final green slime!
When it appears, you can either rush forward to your destination... or you can run backwards where you came from, and the slime will miss you! Then you can go check out the glory hole scene

1: The game only works running it from the .zip or playing it from the index.html in the firefox browser (this is normal isn't it?) because when I run directly the .exe from the unzipped .zip it doesn't work well and when I see in the windows 7 task manager there are several processes moving up and down with the names; GROVE, grove, grove, grove, grove, grove
it's very strange and i don't understand why it doesn't work well, because when i run it from the .zip it works perfectly up to a certain point and in the task manager the processes are different and this time the 4 processes have the name in capital letters (i don't know if this has something to do with it).
but well, I don't mind too much as long as I can use itchio's launcher.
although running the game from the itchio launcher, i have very bad fps and it crashes more often.
2: Another problem I have is that when I get to the desert zone, the game crashes after entering the zone and waiting a few seconds, although I have the theory that if I get to that zone running the game from the browser it might not crash or damage the game, the only problem with playing from the browser is that it doesn't let me load saved files and.... well... you can imagine :/
Maybe, and I think so, these problems are due to my laptop and its low performance, you see, my laptop has very low requirements but it runs some other rpg's (some, I mean very few) , what I don't understand is why the game runs so bad, is it possible that my laptop is missing a couple of drivers or something?

Looking at your computer specs, unfortunately the system requirements for an RPGMAKER game is about 4gb in RAM, with Grove potentially requiring a little bit more due to the presence of large .png images. It also doesn't help that the MV engine isn't the most optimised thing in the world, but we'll try and improve the overall performance of the engine in the future.
Regarding your zip issue:
I have a feeling that the zip issues are caused by your low system specs, with a browser potentially only loading certain scenes, hence the better performance. This is evident when you mentioned you crash in the Desert area as there are a few large assets there, but performance in the area in general isn't all too great for a few with decent rigs. We're looking into that for the next update as well.

i kinda like this idea, like turn off the game over screen in the gallery so its easyer to keep browsing it without being reliant on just clicking the game over scene button, and the outfit seems to regen constantly, i sucessfully did a nude playthrough, didnt even have trouble in the jungle level in the water, will we be able to come back and save the lost and traped adventurers later in that region? seem callous just to say "oh well" and leave them, wont they eventually die from something like that? the body can only take so much stress like that, and the pods, did the occupants get digested or something? and why cant we cut them open like rinnal? it just seems odd, so many people stuck and nothing we can do, the open pods, did they kill and digest before opening? or are they walking around somewhere in some shambleing state? if so, where are they? and will there be group fighting? like multiple teammates to order different attacks from and multiple foes at once too? and can we have any news on the possibilty of cursed clothing? and new monsters too, i prefere them rather than actual m/m scenes, i enjoy the story alot, i just like the monsters more is all, just give us a heads up when the update is getting near, i believe its possible to enjoy this game and be straight too, this game has plenty of potential, i would like to see it grow, odly enough its actually hard to find straight lizard games, i prefere them to furs.
dragons and other lizards have always looked cool and facinating, thats all, not here to offend, just co-existing with my own preferences as a straight guy, life sure feels backwards these days...

I'm assuming you haven't unzipped the file? Make sure you don't play directly from the downloaded .ZIP, and to extract it first. You can do this via right clicking the file, and extracting it to the folder or desktop. Alternatively, you can also open the zip folder, and drag the first 'GROVE' folder onto the desktop

Ensure you have more than 50 STM, and let yourself get grappled by the slime dragon. Once his sequence is done, you should be slimed.

This game has the feel of Undertale and Final Fantasy which I definitely love and the characters and nsfw scenes are to die for ( no pun intended ). There is only one question that I have regarding stats and combat. I noticed that there is a MATK stat but I have yet to find any skills or weapons based on this stat. Have they been implemented yet or is that aspect still in development? Also, will there be any support magic ( i.e. healing/buffing skills implemented and if so, how will they scale?
Currently, MATK is a blank stat and will likely not make it into the complete game. Magic and the such is being considered and developed upon, and should be implemented in a future build.

will it ever be available for android?
You can play on android via JoiPlay emulator, but it is not fully supported and there are visual bugs. If you don't mind using cheats, you can skip some of the areas that have issues, but it will result in a less than optimal play experience.
We only recommend playing via android JoiPlay if you have NO alternative options.
I'm enjoying this game a lot but I'm stuck after exploring the Northen Settlement with the blacksmith, the game doesn't seem to progress any further when teleporting back to the inn. I've talked to the wizard, commander, and blacksmith. I've been stuck for an hour haha.
Your next destination is the jungle to the south. Leave the Quiet Meadow settlement by the bottom left exit, follow the path to the cliffs, and then head south...!

If you go to your menu > key items > documents case and use it to teleport anywhere, it should clear this visual bug. You'll get the bandit suit back later in the game, so don't worry about that just yet.
This is a known error and has been fixed in our development build too, so it'll be gone in the future. For now, just use the teleportation fix, please!

Was trying to get the reward for The Rubbery Slime strip, item and only got the blacksmith scene. Is the reward implemented in .204 or is the blacksmith scene the reward?
So if you go into the slime cave core (where the slime dragons are) and loss to one they coat you in slime. You can then go to the fire in the room and it will give you the Slime Strip which you can take to the wizard and have researched. I just don't know if the cutscene with the blacksmith afterward is all that is supposed to happen.
No, there is a separate cutscene that is available after the slime strip is researched. look at this guide https://qazm.itch.io/a-grove-timeline
The cutscene with the blacksmith where he... 'uses' the slime slab is all that's supposed to happen right now. If you haven't triggered that yet... look at the blacksmith's shop and see if you can find the slime slab there!

The completion and gameplay of the game impressed me the most. Aside from my little hobby （XD）, I've always wanted to see what the story will be like, so far I've experienced it pretty much, I still can't open the locked door, but it doesn't matter, I strongly support it.
