Happy Screenshot Saturday! This time for HYADES, WE FINALLY MADE A BETTER CRATE


Hello,  and happy Screenshot Saturday! This time for HYADES, we've improved navigation in the warehouse by addressing one specific pet peeve both players and I have had for years now...

Before, this crate didn't have an opening at the back? As such, maybe players got confused on where to go and didn't recognize the goopy yellow arrow on the ground! I don't blame them though,  I completely understand why people got stuck and it was my fault in the first place!

But now, there's a big ol' opening in the back for Marsh and friends to walk through! Already even though it's not in the public build yet, I can already tell it's a stronger landmark for the player, and easier to navigate through!

It's crazy to think about how literal years of progress has manifested into this one crate... I've become a lot better at mapping since then, I only implemented the improved parallax tools needed for this kind of movement a month ago or two... it's good to look back on the growth we've made as a team and I've had as a developer over time!

This being said, it's not in our public build yet, which means... THERE'S A LIMITED TIME TO PARTAKE IN HYADES HISTORY AND SEE THE OLD CRATE! GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO

As someone who frequently gets lost in junkyard mazes, this is a gift and an epic set piece! Can't wait to see it in game! <3
