For those wondering unfortunately, you can not play on quest 1-2 because those are android. This is for pcvr, if you have a pcvr ready pc then as many people mentioned you can use one of those methods. If you have the money but not the pc, shadow pc will work. if neither like me then you can not play it.

first of all I made a 3d game in unity that runs on mobile, and just so you know they are not asking for apk to run on mobile they are asking for the oculus quest or quest 2 because those use android and apk files for games

after a quick google search (not sure if this is accurate, so correct me if im wrong) it appears as though steam vr doesn't support oculus quest 1 or 2- witch is what this game was build for, so it could be that its just not compatible with the system you are using. (not entirely sure if it makes a difference what system you are on, but my experience is limited to the quest two, so i only really know about the quest two)
you dont need steam vr if your using the quest/quest2 (i dont know what its like in other headsets i only hvae a quest 2) but you do need a pcvr cable, connect the headset and just run the game, no steam vr needed
C0V1D-19 lol i messed up in mine you can use sidequest but if you can afford a 300$ headset i think you can afford a usb-c cable and its not like you need a good pc to run this game since its not exactly the pinnacle of graphics lol
im a dunce- forgot oculus runs on android and cant run .exe files! :(
i tried to use google drive to download it to my computer, then upload it to drive, then download it on my oculus. all im missing is that i need a software to convert it from .exe to .apk before i upload it to drive- then it will work!

Yeah ikr the only way to play it on the quest rn is with the expensive oculus link cable
You are mistaken. Link can be used with alot of different usb cables, even usb2. It is however recommended to use a usb3-3.2 for best performance.
