Small Patch and Small Roadmap
Hello! It’s been pretty crazy for us here at Innersloth. Lots of things happening behind the scenes. We’ve got a small update here for you all.
Firstly, we want to be sure to talk about the cheating and hacking going on. It was pretty bad there for a bit, so Forte pushed out server changes really fast. They seemed to help a lot, but some cheats still work and now there are bugs too. There will be more server updates to fix all of this, but rushing anti-hacks is what caused the bugs, so cleaning things up is a slower process. Also rest assured that any threats made in the game are false and your devices and data are safe. If you see a hacker, ban them or find a different room.
Here's what this update contains:
- Added Anonymous Voting option
All votes appear as grey
- Added Task Bar Modes
Always mode works like normal
Meeting mode only updates the bar during meetings
Invisible mode removes the task bar entirely
- MIRA: Comms sabotage clears the security logs
-Added symbols to fix wires task
-Added cosmetics to meeting screen
-Various bug fixes
We have lots of things planned, but no real official roadmap. We play things pretty loose so we can tackle what we think the game needs most. We also don’t want to promise anything and then not provide it so it’s a scary thing to share. Here are some of the big things we are planning:
-Accounts. We’re hoping to get accounts into the game by December. This will allow players to report accounts that are toxic and/or hacking. They may be a bit barebones at first but things like friendslists will also come at a later date after launch.
-New Map. We’re hard at work on a new map (It’s Henry Stickmin themed!). This map is currently looking bigger than Polus! The map will contain plenty of new tasks and will be available for free to all players!
-Translations/Localization. The game is currently only translated into a few languages (and some of those translations are a bit rough). We’re planning on getting professional translations into multiple languages (More than we currently have, not ready to share quite which languages yet). To all the people offering to translate, thanks for reaching out, but we’ve got it under control!
-Colorblind support. This patch contains a first pass on colorblind support. We’ll continue monitoring it to see how it performs.
Mind you this isn’t the full extent of our plans. We’ve got lots of things we’re planning that we’re not quite ready to share yet! Thanks for sticking with us and enjoying the game! We’re going through some growing pains right now, but I am very excited for the future of Among Us!

How do i update the gam
how do i get the update? it doesnt auto install
what if among us had a map maker? then we can make our own among us maps.

Can you add an offline mode for Among Us just in case another hacker raid happens. I'm thinking the way this should work is that you can still play on the 3 maps but the remaining players are replaced with computer players that act like actual players that play the game. And there can be a difficulty ranging from Easy to Hard or as I like to call it, Impostor's Game (Adding the difficulty is optional). They should also have names of your choosing and they could be customized by you (The game host). The Crewmates do tasks, report bodies, watch cams, and call emergency meetings like actual players. The same goes for Impostor(s) they kill, vent, fake tasks, and sabotage like actual players. I hope this gets added to the game and if you read this then I'd love to see this happen and thank you for listening to my request.

One problem with this suggestion. Your asking way too much since well Among Us is just complicated especially with strategies, what innersloth has to do is make it so if an ai sees an ai kill another ai then that ai that just saw that ai murder that ai will report the body and send a message. In coding this sounds very complicated to do, especially since their ai's and an ai is not going to do mistakes like humans do which makes the game less fun. To summarize if you really want this added I would say this would take 3-4 years maybe even 5 to make, fix and polish up. Maybe 2 years if you don't count some bug fixes and polishing. Also less complicated coding.

can you add like you can change the amount of the imposters inside the game? just an idea you don´t have to do it but it will make the game more simple instead of doing another server room

A: make among us offline, with AI and basic text, maybe from a list, like [color] [action] near [location], or [color] [killed] [color]
B: make a map maker with some templates, like throw polus’s office to replace admin on mira HQ.
C: on Mira there should be only a single door sabatoge and it would be the main hallway , it closes at the triangle in the middle

Can u make everything leaked on Christmas or new year, this might be nice, I’d say Christmas
I play on a Chromebook, but it requires me to use the mobile controls. If you can, will you fix this in a future update?

That requires turning on dev mode and installing a linux desktop alongside chrome OS, or in some chromebooks, enabling the VERY buggy, VERY laggy beta linux app feature. Why not just add keyboard support to the version that chromebook users can get directly from the easily accessible play store that comes with their device?
Edit: Wait, I just realized there isn't even a linux version in the first place. Do you even know what a chromebook is?

No, not just "a laptop by google". Chromebooks run on Chrome OS, a linux-based operating system. They cannot run windows apps unless you heavily modify them, and even then, they won't run very well.

I play on chrome, too. Go into the settings and change the controls from "joystick" to "touch". Then, you can use your mouse to move around and use objects in the map. I do think they should add keyboard support for the android version, though.

So hyped for future updates, and thanks for pushing out new ones! But I do have an idea for among us that might be cool.
-Modes (Hide n Seek, Infection, etc). But maybe you should let the creator of the server decide if they want it to be a special mode like the ones I listed or just a normal one.
I don’t need these updates right away. Heck, if you don’t want to add this, I’m fine with that! But this is just my idea.. and some other peoples idea.
The Devs have already talked about this before Among Us is a social deduction game not Roblox where you have Hide & Seek/Infection. Its cool that the community has come up with these ideas but, that's not the game the intersloth designed. They are going to focus on building up Among Us as the game its always been.
Can you pls put in that we can have longer names
This will result in names being able to be seen through walls like the Venting glitch in Polus. If you vent into the Bathroom with a hat on your name can be seen coming in and out of the vent making it easy for crew to vote you out

what it will do ?
Why would you want a battle pass instead of free skins, pets, hats. 1. you will have to pay for ingame cosmetics. 2. people will do the challenges and then leave games or if its to Sabotage Reactor 10 times the Imposters will use Reactor instead of lights which can impact the game. 3. Among Us is supposed to be simple not Fortnite where almost everyone buys the battle pass and whale on the game.

It would just be more maps and skin plus Among Us 2 just got announced like pokemon the game gets announced like 5-8 Months before and they still aren't done. I believe the main reason why they wanted Among Us 2 was the game wasn't popular it's a 2018 game and people like newer games so it was mainly to promote the game in general but, sense Among Us blew up their is no need for Among Us 2 if I'm correct. Like the new map that was probably going to be in Among Us 2. Just wait and the updates will come :D
