September 23 - Weekly Progress Report #8 + Roadmap


Hallelujah it's finally Wednesday

...which means time for another report! Hope the past week treated you all well. Personally, things have been getting horny over here at the Squawks manor. I've got so much snake smut I can barely contain it. Heck do I love seductive serpents and their sultry slithers...  😳

The snakes in question are none other than the Clouded Quetzals found up high on the cloudy plateau. This enemy type is based on a quetzalcoatl, with a scaled serpentine body and feathers that run the length of its back. Like most things in the Cloud Forest they can harness magic from the mist in the environment, which allows them to slither through the air like delicate ribbons. Some travelers who have had the opportunity to see one up close swear they have a mesmerizing scent, but such things are a matter of preference.

If you can manage to recruit one of these slithery snakes, you should listen to this tip:
Most creatures will want to build affection and rapport before they'll open up their heart to you. Spending time interacting together, battling foes, and giving gifts are all good ways to bolster the relationship and have them see you as more than a friend. Play it right, and before you know it they'll be propositioning you for more intimate bonding!

What's next?

Hope those teasers are alright! I have about 66%~75% of the lewd quetzal content completed, so in the next day or so it'll be all done and I'll move on.
The roadmap to the next update looks something like this:

  1. Finish up the NSFW quetzal scenes
  2. Write the fox paw scene as the last NSFW scene for now
  3. Chug some alcohol and blitz through all the main story content (a bulky workload, hence the alcohol)
  4. Design and implement Bestiary UI
  5. Finishing touches - additional icons, combat balancing, check for polish
  6. Private test builds go out, additional bugfixing
  7. Public release!

I want to have everything ready to send out the private builds sometime in October, but that estimate partially depends on the contributing writers. At this point I don't mind leaving out some of the unfinished side content that I had planned if it helps us release this update as soon as possible. Once you guys all have your hands on the new and improved Revenir we can start rolling out all the additional content updates, which will come at a much more frequent pace (weekly or biweekly depending on funds - I'm still burning through my savings right now, haha).
