The first two VNs are absolute blood-injected rants about, you know, we all know. Idk what name that phenomenon has. Very interesting.

On a unrelated note, Should I deleted the script I was working out? Because of the rules. I was writing it days before the true start of this.

Enjoyed it in a badly way, I think that's the spirit. Love all the details to make it just intentionally clunky. Good job!

Genuine question is this somehow inspired in the last chapter of Higurashi, the flashback of the villain? I mean, at least the premise

I just re-readed the page and, the submissions doesn't end the day 10 at 3am, the submissions starts at the day 10 at 3am. I was having already plans of working until the near end of the deadline. Darn.

Well, without much details, my visual novel of tennis with superpowers will have 4 matches instead of 2. Good, good.

Is so exaggerated and explosive, truly a internet rant, although it looks like copypaste by the "that panel you posted" (I guess is the child's piano?) But even then, the idea of creating a Itch account just to ditch on Fate zero on the forums is so epic.

Just putted a meme has a final boss whose fight cannot be beaten. This is going to be terrible. Maybe this counts as bad on purpose, but not that much.

2000 words is like the limit, right? 1000 words equals 5 minutes according to the page. Well, mine's is not a full fledged story really, is more a general idea. I wanna see how others make a story in a 10 minute visual novel.

Looks really good, although is kind of bias because I love everything source related, even if it's not made in source. Hope you get a lot of sales.

Assuming that some of the questions are made to be answered here, I put some answers for the first two.

What game do you want to Play

I want to play something that is like, opposite stuff combined. Don't know how to explaining, stuff is often cute and fun but with a dark side that is reserved to specific points of the game, or a full thriller  with a positive resolution at the end, or in specific spots.

 I want both, that is like a dance, from a point to other moving in the way designed, but not truly one. I really think you can have fun and cuteness with anguish and pain, that's life, and there's stuff I really like that is kind of like this, but going more to a direction instead of another. Let's see if I can bring to life major chaotic stupidity games (dance metaphor.)  For now, I can only complete visual novels (key word, not make, complete), but I think VN have a lot of potential starting from the 'interactive book', I feel like it can be something amazing without stop being essentially that. Just having the 'book' as  software already opens a ton of doors. Not like I am expert of visual novels, but let's see.

What can you do that no-one else can?

Since a young age of my life, everything go downfall. Right now, when I think it logically, I shouldn't be alive right now.  Maybe I will not longer be alive tomorrow or soon. I also want to live, I think living is beautiful. There so many works out there that only pick a side, that being, a remembering of the horrors of the world, or a remembering of the beauty of the world.. 1 often time have tiny bits about 2, but only tiny bits, and viceversa. But, the works that do amazingly both are truly the ones I most love. Hope can do that.


I thinks this is what I truly can put in this conversation of ideas and inspirations.

* In both points I was talking about preferences, nobody is obligated to do x in a x way or something.  Just talking on what I want to do.

Seems like Itch has a lot of quirks and surprises that didn't expect, I really thought otherwise with this subject. Better be informed before doing anything.

I just started writting, let's see if its bad

I really suggest paying or waiting to have the money to pay, at least if you want quality acting in your game. Contrary case, a bad VA can give bad reputation to your game.

Itch tag system in general is flawed, I really think is a priority to improve. Just the fact that one can't put a tag to not show is something very bad. Itch is for so many kind of games, and I think that's amazing (This is the only game website with that principle, I think) but precisely for that a good tag system is crucial. It has many years as it is so I don't know then they gonna improve it.

PC is going to die very soon, and I want to get focus on my project and, hopefully, donations. For a comment on my devlog, I thinked of making a demo of my Visual Novel, kind of hard, but I decide a way to make a presentable early playable/readable thing that gets to know how is the game about.

I'm making backup of stuff, of course, and if something happen, I'm going to compile the game (somehow) of what is finished and submit that. Aside from that, what I can do to get pieces for the damage ones? Money, money. "Traditional" work doesn't function here with a coin surpassed by the WoW coin, so just working normally will bring not even that much food, that's why I'm on this in the first place. (I'll work this way soon, but still) Thanks for all possible suggestions, I will do my best.

A lot of sites are excluding 18+ and inappropriate stuff altogether because of  rules of payment processors. There's the possibility that Itch decides to get rid of Those So Called Adult Games Which Are Porn Made For Men That Can Not Catch Girls in order to maintain big processors  (Paypal and Stripe.)

Good short game

Not every Itch user is an adult or interested in adult games. (I have check it because I don't want to feel like a baby)

I know but, when people calls your art very low levels of quality, and they constantly say that I have to get standards in terms of art, I consider it a huge point to improve... Until I give up, honestly. I would like to be able to draw pixel-manga art for HH, but, I even have hard times for the basics. So I resort to rpg style sprites, that seems like doesn't look bad, everyone has say that it looks neat. That's the key thing. 

There are even visual novels with backgrounds of real life places with filters, and portraits with a few expressions. And even like that they succeed, quality-commercially wise. Just talking of some part of the VN world, not everything. But the point is, the primordial stuff are in the text, and primarily text are like the opposite of stuff like Bejeweled. (Good game, but I prefer Zuma in that regard.)

You get confused, I was talking of the price of my near art commissions, not the game. Harmful Heaven is heavily amateur, and there are solo indie games better than this for free. So it would  be like an insult to pay for this in it's current state. There's a way to this to be decent to be payed but, that way is not near. I have to use the most 'cards' possible for I to be able to succeed in this strange work, so putting this as free is crucial. As much at I desperate for money. But I'm gonna take some suggestion with the pricing of my art commissions.

And also, I really wanted to make a demo for this first, but I was heavily insisted that it was doing more harm hahahahahahahaha you get it than good. So is better that the full game, with it's two routes/storylines are there from the first submit, because it's very probable that the people that play the first incomplete version, will not come back when there's the full one. And, I'm gonna put more effort in the audiovisual then.

Want to put my visual novel on the SuNoFes. It has a rule of no sex in visual or sound form, that's ok, but it also as "not gore" and I think I overthink this one more than I should. Were the no gore rule starts? In fights with weapons if one's get hurt blood will come out. Maybe is not the best example but in young teens manga there's all kind of stuff like this, and still are shonen manga. It's gore when there's organ and ribs and such? The SuNoFes hoster can put wathever rule they want, I just want to be secure so I can hid/change/discard violence stuff so It's accepted in the jam.

What are the main differences between this and the new one?

The game has to be ready in 5 months

This jam called SuNoFes is the most near thing I have to this abomination to be knowed. And is purely by miracle that the PC hasn't go to computer's purgatory. As of september 3, Harmful Heaven has to be playable with the essential elements.

Working with Ren'py is good, most of the time. The art, well the past post. The script is going well, although ton of text that has to be descarted. In fact, several arcs and characters are going to be dropped, because they're gonna lose the time of everyone. 

Also, because everything's is falling apart, I have to resort to art commissions- They say that my art (the game sprite art, not the manga style art, not that, that one is terrible) is enough to put a price tag of 1$. That would come in handy really good. You can find my internet little house here. I haven't made the announcement, but it will be very soon. Look at the last draw I made, I have improved! and also, I chose this particular website cuz it's the only social media that I like. The dude behind Iconoclast and people that have created others itch games are there!
