I'm a *huge* sucker for visual novels, always have, always will, and honestly this just makes me want to scream. The visuals, the character design, the soundtrack are all so amazing. And for once I found myself not hating the MC!
My first choice was actually Cirrus (I'm a huge sucker for religious characters) and I have NO regrets. Sometimes I feel like the dialogue's he has are weird, but honestly he's portrayed in a way that makes me squeal. My first ending was his best one, and that was.. a trip! Was NOT expecting to get sold the second time around, but I think it reflects a lot on his character how if you aren't entertaining he genuinely thinks the best thing for you is to sell you off to the s*x industry, showing how that's all he really thinks of you. I'm eagerly waiting for the 2nd chapter just for Cirrus! :3
(I love all the cast equally, but Cirrus has my whole heart and is the one I believe is written the best!)
While it took me far, far longer than I had intended to get all of the routes.. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I love OBSCURA.
Even though we only get a small glimpse of it, the world seems very interesting. I enjoyed the little bits of lore that we get here and there from both Vesper and other characters around the market. And, Vesper's plight is actually quite fascinating. I feel terrible for them, and even without the varied and wonderful Love Interests, I would still want to see how the story ends for Vesper. (Yes, I am one of the big fans for Vesper. They are very charming for a player character!) Plus, the very different paths and endings we can get with each character were a hell of a lot of fun! The writing for every character was just absolutely amazing (not to mention the beautiful art that we've been treated to!)

The Love Interests are certainly the biggest draw, however. Each route has very fun and enthralling storylines, even for taking place in a relatively short time-frame.
Now, I started with Oleander.
I freaking adore Oleander. He ended up being probably my favorite of the Love Interests. He's charming, he's witty... he's a murderer, and he absolutely plays the part of the Gadfly well.
Excluding the endings where Vesper's downfall is their own fault (to an extent), even Oleander's bad end was actually quite gentle.
He's not a good person in many ways, but he really has a kind side to him. The scenes where he takes Vesper to the tea house — and where I first got to know Griff, who was hilarious by the way — and the dance scene at the party were just... beautiful. I think the dance scene took my breath away.
As an aside, I really liked that his story is very intertwined with Keir's. But I am a little worried as to where things are going to go between them.
Next up, Francesco! The boy, the cutie. Light of my life, apple of my eye. He's just about tied with Oleander for a favorite.
I just don't exactly... trust him. While Oleander's bad sides were pretty obvious, Francesco not so much.
Yes, he definitely has a problem where he wants to get into some not so great things and he kind of puts himself into bad situations... but there is definitely more than meets the eye when it comes to him (or is there? He really could just be naïve and sweet. I just have a feeling he's not entirely that)
I have to admit, I sobbed during the bad endings we could get before going into the club. I was outraged.
In general, Francesco is kind of a mess but it's very charming. I just want to hold him and protect him from the marketplace... and from himself, a little bit. He's really trying to get into some heavy stuff, and as someone who had gone through a bit of a phase trying some -cough- similar things, I can say it may not be worth it in the long-run. But that just means that I hope we can protect him and help him when the time comes.
Keir was my next choice.
He is sassy. I loved it. I loved the banter.
He also had a very tough shell to get through. Of course, because he's a thief who is doing his best to keep his home and friends safe and cared for, it's pretty understandable. It also makes a lot of sense that he only starts to open up to Vesper if we manage to be more open to the life he leads.
I loved the touch of having to be more friendly with his thief pals to lead into his good ending.
There were definitely higher stakes in his route. I appreciated that we got a little taste of what his job entails, and it was actually quite terrifying when we had to deal with the guard. As someone with social anxiety and a mistrust for people in a place of power, it made me very uncomfortable and the bad end with most of the group was very disheartening.
I would say, however, his storyline is the most compelling in the sense of trying to help people on top of fixing Vesper's dilemma. I really hope there is a happy ending there, because I actually am scared for the future of Mouse Hole.
Cirrus' route is the most recent route for me and... wow.

It's actually a little scary that a man like him is in a place of power like a priest. He really can (and, I assume, does) hurt people under the guise of helping them. A true sadist. I only hope that some of what he does really does end up helping those who seek him out.
I can't say I'm not a masochist in a sense, but he does go overboard (and I don't mean the flogging scene, just in general... even if I had mixed feelings on how he went about the punishment because the consent felt dubious even with Vesper obeying and being more open to him). And yet, it makes me wish to see where his and Vesper's romance will lead in the best ending.
I won't entirely hold my breath, but I hope to see him soften a little bit and maybe become a slightly better person. (But hey, even if he doesn't, he is very nice to look at and the scary personality is fun to deal with.
Edit: I know this comment is a few days old, but I did want to add that I think the writing for Cirrus is fantastic, and I hope no one thought that I meant otherwise. It is rare that a character/story makes me become actually angry. I think he is truly a fascinating character.)

Thank you all for working so hard on this gorgeous visual novel. From the writers, artists, and the person behind the music, everyone did a fabulous job. I am very much looking forward to chapter 2 and all subsequent chapters!
Only just started and I already love this game so much. I love otome visual novels but my biggest pet peeve is when we're given a variety of options that change nothing about the paths we takes, and only change the ending. I love how in this game, every choice leads us to a different path with new experiences. Instead of having to go over the same paths over and over a again, while guessing different combos in hopes that something changes, we get and entirely new story every time. It doesn't just add to the replay but it actually makes replaying the game ENJOYABLE. nothing but 10s around the board.
SPOILER WARNING but if i had a critique to add, I wish Cirrus didn't have that one ending. think it makes sense to have his character be utterly heartless, but I think selling us off as an indentured servant instead of a... you know know what would've given the same bite of disappointment and reality shock w/o making him irredeemable.
Either way I'm gonna pretend like that ending doesn't exist, and quietly simp for him because im a delulu masochist. *shrug*
This is the first game I downloaded and played in itch.io. But damn. I regret doing that. This game is too good it made every other game lackluster. From the visual art, the character designs, the dialogues, and the main character? This is easily the best among its kind. It gave me a lot of wtf moments, the good kind of shock, especially since my very first ending was Cirrus' worst ending. I hate that guy and that made me love the game so much more. I'll be waiting for the next chapters to come, so thanks for the fun Rotten Raccoons ;>
Francesco and Oleander are both found in the same scene from the "Leave" choice, since they're attending the same party. The only choice that decides if you go to Oleander or Francesco is if you go towards the laughing crowd, or the wealthy stranger.
wow. hate to say that I really like Cirrus. Hes a bastard- don't get me wrong- but I think his character is very interesting- poor MC though, they don't deserve that.

I played the whole thing and got all the endings and Cirrus’s worst ending really left a bad taste ( I wouldn’t say it ruined the rest of the game but it sat in my head). Damn if that one was just different I’d also love him like the other characters. I liked his design the most but now I can’t see him the same sob,,

Loving the game so far. The art is beautiful, and the audio design is so good, I feel like I'm there. Only done Keir's route for now, but I'm already invested. Probably gonna try Cirrus next.
SPOILERS - I have just one very little complaint: I wish I could refuse to toast with the team after the mission, because I'm still super pissed at Keir. Would be nice to have an option to simply leave the bar and go to Keir's home instead of celebrating with them.
This was AMAZING !! I just spent an all-nighter playing through all the routes and I must say I am thoroughly impressed with every single aspect of the game. The art is subdued and simple but it goes supremely well with the ambiance, the sound design has some very very nice moments, and the writing is absolutely exquisite. The MC in particular is among the best, if not the best MC I've ever had the pleasure of playing in similar games. Though the inner monologue is well done, the dialogues in particular are just my brand of wit and maturity.
Will be highly recommending this to everyone who'll lend me their ears, and will play the next episode as soon as it releases. Please keep giving this project your love and care raccoons, because I truly believe you have a cult classic in the making here !
i absolutely loved the darker feel of this game, i've been itching for something like this for so long! francesco is my darling, i want to wreck that man but also cuddle the life out of him. he's just so adorable.

It may be a late response but if u still desire assistance, here r my guidelines you, Firstly I obeyed Cirrus` s older and chose the option of {lustful} or something along the line and enjoyed the prayer.
Now the next day, confront Cirrus` when you walk in on him forcefully ordering a man to end his own life. And allow Cirrus to punish you. Then the next set of orders when you` ve gained consciousness feel open to request what you desire from him but I advice you to choose the hug and disclude the option, where you requiring space. After that the dialogue continues, and you'll successfully achieve the ending (*Promise: I will keep you safe.*) I hope this was a helpful ^^.
my heart fluttered when he said he would keep me safe lmao , thank you so much , tbh i played this game like maybe months ago and i remember the trauma from me being killed by him or his mobs so i read the guide this week and when i reached the church section i immediately closed it off saying there's no happy ending with him so it maybe my mistake since i didn't follow the guide properly lmao but i'm really happy , thank you a lot dear !!! i'm waiting for the next chapters but i would probably be out of my country by then gahhhh ( sobbb) ....
i don't remember this but were you able to get a good ending since i followed the guide yet i always end up to the scene where i've to choose whether i interfere or walk away either choice i'm locked in a bad ending lmao or will it be available in the upcoming chapters !

Stumbled upon Cirrus first and to his good ending, that was soooooooooo good. Led by Lunar God to the fate, no doubt.
Loved the style, color scheme, soundtrack. Exited to see more of the story, hope to see some lore of the world.
I am not ashamed to say that I love this first chapter and Keir is babygirl.
