Im going to cry, this is amazing. I am very excited to see the progess of this game because it is genuinley so cute. I almost wish i didnt find it cause this is one those games where i *know* im going to feel empty - in the best way possible - after I've exhausted all personality types .

Glad you like it! I'm afraid the Step 2 content in the demo is the only Step 2 content that exists. It's maybe 5% complete. I'm still working on finishing Step 1.
This was truly a 10/10 experience! The amount of choice and customatisation here is staggering, astonishing. It build immersion so well. You truly feel like you're in the story, and not just projecting onto a nameless character with your name. Freedom in interaction/dialgue choices shines most here; I never feel like I'm saying something just because that's the closest it will get to how I actually feel. And the art, by golly the art, its SO gorg, like it's genuinely so comforting, especially when compounded by the ever comforting soundtrack. This has also been my first ever experience with a, not sure how to call it, full life-sim VN? I've played MANY VNs, but never one that spans the entirerty of a character's life in such a detailed manner; what can I say, it's super immersive! Obviously I cannot judge the entirerty of it, considering that the only fully fleshed out section is childhood/stage 1, but just basing it off of that...mannn. This is a bit personal, but making some of the choices actually prompted me to reminisce on how I was as a child, something I dont do very often-a really nostalgic experience that I'm super greatful for. The only criticism I would have is that I wish the game acknowledged a little more once you change your name/gender upon entering a new stage; it just treats it like thats the way its always been. I can see the appeal this may have for some, but it did break immersion for me a little.
Definitely looking forward to the full version of the game!

Damn, what will I say? This demo was really long, I loved it, I felt that feeling of the new child, and the fantasy of the forest, the interactions and the damn decision boxes are many, I love it. Although the sudden change [being a demonstration and demo.] from stage 1 to 2 [from age 10 to 14.] and seeing that our protagonists have changed, like all pre-adolescents, did feel somewhat melancholy... it was painful but hey, there is always a light at the end, there will be problems I suppose between them, because the relationship between Qui [I think his name was] and his old friends stopped being so, breaking up the group and the tension between Qiu and Tamarack, it will be difficult knowing that my MC remains the same, like a Bridge between the group so that the friendship doesn't end up breaking up like the group of boys."

OL2 will likely be a similar length, just with more alterations within the events. So not longer, but wider. And the Step 1-3 DLCs will cost $6USD each! I'm not sure how much the Wedding DLC will cost yet.
I was wondering- will we be able to date Baxter like in Our life B&A? Im actually really interested how would his interaction be when he's in Golden Grove instead. Also will there be more love interests?
You won't be able to date Baxter or other side character. This game is already gonna be massive with just Qiu and Tamarack, and I'm not able to do more than that I'm afraid. But also, Baxter likes the MC of Sunset Bird, he doesn't feel that way about the one in Golden Grove. But glad you like him!
By far this is the best visual novel ive ever read..but too bad its just end just like that when were about to walk to school. Expecting some improvement like moments or characteristics in the full release!!
So I checked the discord and I seeing you giving us updates is really nice. But when you say that you write around 2k words for OL2, can you give us how much of progress is it? If it's like 1% and stuff.
2,000 words is less than 1% so I'm afraid I can't give a percentage estimate. It'd be so small it's pointless, aha. The game is going to take until late 2025 for the base game and even longer for all expansions to be completed, that's the only explanation of overall progress I can give.
have you tried downloading the file and compressing it? also, make sure you don't delete anything. it may also tell you that ur pc won't allow it to run to "protect it" but ignore it, close and re-open the game and it should work
It's possible Itch is having issues. If you're not on Android you can try downloading the Itch app for your device and installing the demo through there instead of on the webpage.
This is literally the best thing in the history of gaming and literature. The diversity of personality you can choose from for both yourself and the characters is insane. I love how the characters comment on our appearances and personality, it makes my heart skip a beat each time. Literally have to take breaks to squeal and roll around in bed for a while. Words can't express my gratitude for the existence of this game. I'm so desperately waiting for the full version. Literally wanting to cry because I can't have more of this (already played the game with cove)
Having been a very shy and quiet kid, I made my MC the same. The way the other characters noticed this and began behaving accordingly was so cool, especially one particular part in the store scene. It had come around to my character's turn to buy the snack she'd picked out, and just as I, irl, was thinking about how much kid me hated having to interact with cashiers and the like, Tamarack came over and offered to do that for me so I didn't have to. It was so sweet it basically killed me instantly. This game is dangerously wholesome, and I can't wait to get the full release and buy every single DLC.
I am in love with this already! The general vibe is amazingly cozy, with the fall setting and the adorable characters and dialogue options. And getting to customize so freely is a huge bonus! I look forward to all things OL:N&F to come!

I will add: I'm being serious, I have no idea how to open this.
so download the game file for apple. once the game is done downloading right click it and choose the open option. It is going to say that you can't open it. ignore that message and close it. right click it again and choose the open option. This time it will ask you if you are sure you want to open it. Click open and then you can open the game normally without right clicking it. It's been sometime since I did it, but I'm pretty sure this is how I did it. Let me know if you have any troubles or any questions.

I love how everything just reminds me of what I did as a child in my small hill town. I like how I reconized baxter from first glance. in the first couple of minutes of step two made me sad because they werent friends anymory Once i save up enough im being a paytryeon or whatevery its spelled

Yeah, I don't know how long it'll be yet. It's very up in the air and it's gonna be years before I can even begin planning the content.

Guys I need help, I cant get the game downloaded. it keeps saying "OurLifeNF-1.3.5-pc.zip" File isnt available on site.

so download the game file for apple. once the game is done downloading right click it and choose the open option.
