Yes, yes, and yes. I have a save game a bit before this happened, I remember playing through the game and dropping a save a few screens before this. I was in the danger zone expedition, I killed a fellow disciple, the leader of the first tribe I can chose to assault, who was drunk af, called Fu Bing
I then had a poetry fight with Le Xiwen I won, then the guy's sis (I think) Fu Lanfen showed up and karmic stomped my ass to -10k
Then she said
Which I'm not sure I get, since her bro was called Fu Bing a bit earlier, or maybe I'm just mixing up another character (these xianxia names man). Also what does "I'm afraid I can't let him his die" really mean? Prolly some typo or something
Anyways, right after that I try to kill the rest of the gathered disciples like on the screenshot way above, and it triggers that error, which funnily enough also bricks the buttons, so I reload the page, load an earlier save, and go with some other option.
Thanks! I'll check it out. 1) Yes, 'Xiao' is a term used for a younger sibling/kid. She's calling Fu Bing = Xiao Bing (replacing the surname with the endearment). There are also a few others that you'll see in the game: repeating the name twice (Da = Da Da) and adding 'er to the name.
Will stat maximums be readjusted for MCs with a dragon tattoo? Dragon tattoo increases max stats by 20, but we are still capped at 1,000. Is this intentional so that we don't breach into early xiantian stats?
talent_chr is basically an empty variable placed in order to pass quicktest (a tool to proofread bugs), which ignores conditional statements and will show an error otherwise. Actual code for increasing attributes/spending exp looks like this

Saves broke =( This happens due to me bugfixing things constantly. I am trying to make them more permanent, but so far no luck. The only advice I have for now is have more save filed ;(
Try uploading a safe save now, it should, probably, maybe, work.
Though keep in mind you’ll have to set variables limit_X (str, agi, con etc) to 500 or you’ll get an error when opening stat page/raising attributes (this will only happen with these saves, not in the future lol).
On premium/boosty version. Getting an error that prevents me from raising attributes.
sect_meditation line 128: can't divide by zero
Edit: Never mind, fixed it by raising the attribute limits to 500. That being said, the dragon tattoo you get from the panda is now worthless as I cannot surpass 1,000 in any stat, when the game previously allows 520.
My game breaks before the fight with the disciples and tattooed warriors giving the error: "expo_final_1 line 426: sbr doesn't contain label add_injury"
Have tried reloading and doing things a little differently but I can't seem to get around that error on that choice.
The other options advance the story but do not appeal to me =(
Cool. Not possible for my character in that play-through to not fail the stat check beforehand as I went on normal difficulty and wanted to try playing as a character that wasn’t absolutely maxed out on everything.
I just left a save there and restarted the game to try choosing some different options. Selected stronger starting options and it’s interesting how much it affects how the beginning plays out.
Hello! Wanted to ask something. I really enjoy your game and I found romance with Tigress to be just amazing. But when I tried to star Ruo romance I found that there is much less content with his romance in the Demo so far. Like during the “training arc” there was almost no event scenes with him, unlike with other RO.
Is it supposed to be like that and he will get more of “romance” but just in the future chapters, or I am missing something/doing something wrong, and need to follow specific steps to get his romance scenes?
Tigress is pretty much the only romance option that you can go anywhere with right now. At most, you can just flirt with the other cast members and spend time with them, but it's nothing so developed as Tigress' romance.
I have a question. Upon entering middle houtian and watching Tang Ruo fight in the arena there's a line of text saying that you know you can't keep up with him or something like that, however I've already advanced to middle houtian due to mei mei pill so I should be able to keep up with him no? Is it an error or something?
Prolly, tbh I was just tryna get into mei mei y'know (wink) then I saw she sent a pill I think to get me strong enough for whatyoumaycallit raid or whatever and kill that Chen bastard (Evil Playthrough). Perks of being evil? Idk lmao. Ended up smashing the tigress too and caving in the head of that one girl from the trio but apparently if you kill them all you won't be able to smash tigress, just a heads up.

In some of my saves, the game returns to the beginning, in others an error appears. I tried to restart the game and I get this message after talking to the owner of the cheapest inn (the same thing happens to me in another save)
Fixed the error, was changing some stuff and accidentally broke it lol.
About the saves... it may break if you save at the state page or if you enter stat page, leave it and save then without advancing to a new page/making a choice. I'm working on locking the save function during these times, but for now there is nothing I can do =(
Hii! I've encountered a bug in the new version where when you attempt to save (while playing in browser) and then load back to said save, the game immediately freezes. After refreshing the website, the game resets, your save is still there, however the same bug happens when trying to load again. It seems to do the same when downloading it, however when you download it, the game will not acknowledge your save and will not load it.
Did you save during stat page / after you opened stat page and haven't clicked 'next page' or made a choice?
Sadly due to how stat page works in CS, saves tend to break if you do so. I'm working on trying to prevent you from saving during these moments, but it'll take me some time

During the tourney fight against Tang Ruo, there is a glitch where it makes me fail the the option "try to hit him with strikes" despite having 8 agilty, 2 more than what is required . When I try to sweep his leg which requires 8 agility, I pass.

The sheer amount of world building done to create a background of characters, places, factions, artifacts and relations which never appear but are mentioned in passing, is enormous. Unfortunately, it also suffers from some serious flaws:

The game isn't consistent about whether Tigress is from the East or from the West.
If you hope that Tigress is okay after getting injured during the Outer Disciple tournament, the game says you can challenge Long Wyoung. But if you then go to the Arena Administrative Building, it says you can only issue ranked challenges, not personal ones.
The game tells you the Ro Hui/Hyi is the "Mistress/Little Demon Queen", but then doesn't give you any options acknowledging this (You can only either go along with them apparently without recognizing them, or you can express disinterest in the disciples' lives without recognizing them).

When does the game tell you that Ro Hyi is the Little Demon Queen? MC is only suspicious about their mask in their initial meeting but realizes something was truly wrong when they encounter the pile of corpses in the cave and sees Ro Hyi among the list of dead disciples. I might be misremembering this detail though, perhaps the game did namedrop her true identity.
If the game tells you that you can now challenge Long Wyoung, while you can't actually do so in the current build, then I would call that a (small) flaw in the current build, since that line could have just been commented out until it gets updated.
If you pass a check (INT iirc, but I'm not clicking through the whole game to make sure :p) with the correct degree of success, when she tries to convince MC to follow her to the cave, then MC lists several similarities between Ro Huy/Hyi and the "Mistress/Little Demon Queen" (e.g. androgynous, wears mask to hide deformed face, etc.). So that comparison strongly suggests to me that MC recognizes her suspects her identity.
The save function in this is very temperamental, as others have said when you go to the info screen for Characters the Save data gets stuck inside that menu regardless of if you saved in that menu or not. Meaning whenever you load the game you will load in that menu and never be able to get out of it, essentially breaking the game.
This has happened multiple times to me now and it's very aggravating. I can't keep restarting the game all over again just because the save system is broken so I'll just wait until the game is much further along that it currently is in development in the hopes it gets fixed x-x
Or you can just try to be careful of when you save and try not to use the character menu alot🤷🏽♂️cause i doubt its gonna get fixed any time soon since its a problem that happens on other games to

I was already being careful, as I said it's happened multiple times across 4 different restarts. It doesn't matter how long I wait between changing screens the saves will break no matter what. I could've saved over 5+ mins ago and it will still do it.
If it's a problem with the program itself and will never be fixed, fine. I'll just wait until the game if finished so it's stable, it's what I was going to do anyway if the issue persisted in future versions.
Is there a way to export save data? Also when i load, it went to relationship menu, tried to return to game, still in menu section. Cannot resume the story
hiya not meaning to bother but i must know is it even possible to beat the arrogant prince Tang Ruo in the tournament with trash talent? and when i say beat i mean survive till our body push pass limits to ascend to houtain level. anyway great game will keep trying with trash talent either way cause underdog love from me!
I think probably you need to at least 8 agility & constitution + 3 perception, so you need at least 20exp in the beginning, which, thankfully you can get even with trash talent.
With those you should be able to survive the previous competitions & advance to Tang Ruo, after which I think you’ll be able to endure.
When he tries to hit your leg, it won’t break, after that when you wants to hit you again you lean away from it, then you say you won’t surrender, yada yada yada. You get the gist of it.
I haven’t tried it so I don’t know.
Battle sense would probably also be good to have, if possible.
Well thanks so much for pointing me in right direction! so hard to believe but i managed to beat Tang Ruo with trash level talent in the tournament! but the combination i used was strength 3, agility 8, constitution 1, vitality 10, perception 1, and i used 22 exp and 5.5 points to to get that plus regeneration and good-looking plus ambidextrous. used random checks and saved the robes special ability fathers love for Tang Rou and boom won 1st place so nearly gotta get a perfect in the first two fights and then semi perfect in final fight Really Really lucky and a little of save scumming! idk other combinations tho. (didnt believe it myself so did it again before i comment peace and love)
Awesome, I tried a couple things but got tired tbh, I might end up using your method some time.
I already got as far as the game goes rn but next update I’ll probably start over, in which case, I also really like underdog characters so I’ll probably make one of those.
I adore MCs who have trash talent but then become better than everyone & OP & all that.
I made my current character a woman, called her Wu Xiu, & mainly been making her a very neutral very honorable type who is polite, seems sweet, but is cunning.
Once this game is complete & there is a lot more content I’ll probably start exploring a lot.
I’d love to make multiple different characters with very different personalities.
Btw, I’d also recommend trying out Uroboros, there is only one chapter out & its on itch. Its not really related to this game in any way nor similar but I found it fun.

Nope. I'll fix it in a minute, 1000 is the absolute limit, which is supposed to be very, very end-game and will cost much more to reach
There's a coding error when selecting the good-looking trait in the beginning. It's not enabling the "talent_chr" variable when it normally should.

It only happens to me if I open the menu and save while on the same page.👍🏽
Is there a way to export save data? Also when i load, it went to relationship menu, tried to return to game, still in menu section. Cannot resume the story
Make sure to not enter the menu section whenever saving or else when u load the save it will take u to the menu where you'll be stuck

hiya not meaning to bother but i must know is it even possible to beat the arrogant prince Tang Ruo in the tournament with trash talent? and when i say beat i mean survive till our body push pass limits to ascend to houtain level. anyway great game will keep trying with trash talent either way cause underdog love from me!
I think probably you need to at least 8 agility & constitution + 3 perception, so you need at least 20exp in the beginning, which, thankfully you can get even with trash talent. With those you should be able to survive the previous competitions & advance to Tang Ruo, after which I think you’ll be able to endure. When he tries to hit your leg, it won’t break, after that when you wants to hit you again you lean away from it, then you say you won’t surrender, yada yada yada. You get the gist of it.
I haven’t tried it so I don’t know. Battle sense would probably also be good to have, if possible.
Well thanks so much for pointing me in right direction! so hard to believe but i managed to beat Tang Ruo with trash level talent in the tournament! but the combination i used was strength 3, agility 8, constitution 1, vitality 10, perception 1, and i used 22 exp and 5.5 points to to get that plus regeneration and good-looking plus ambidextrous. used random checks and saved the robes special ability fathers love for Tang Rou and boom won 1st place so nearly gotta get a perfect in the first two fights and then semi perfect in final fight Really Really lucky and a little of save scumming! idk other combinations tho. (didnt believe it myself so did it again before i comment peace and love)
Awesome, I tried a couple things but got tired tbh, I might end up using your method some time. I already got as far as the game goes rn but next update I’ll probably start over, in which case, I also really like underdog characters so I’ll probably make one of those. I adore MCs who have trash talent but then become better than everyone & OP & all that.

Understandable though lol, It is fun.
I made my current character a woman, called her Wu Xiu, & mainly been making her a very neutral very honorable type who is polite, seems sweet, but is cunning.
Once this game is complete & there is a lot more content I’ll probably start exploring a lot.
I’d love to make multiple different characters with very different personalities.
Btw, I’d also recommend trying out Uroboros, there is only one chapter out & its on itch. Its not really related to this game in any way nor similar but I found it fun.
