I loved this, haha. In the first game, we could decide our MC talents, like singing, etc., I wonder if we will have this in the new game too. It would be cool if it was expanded a bit and the characters remembered that we can do those things.
this is most likely my second time commenting here, but damn, this game is fire, I just love everything about the game (I'm a big fan of character customization type of games) I love the art, the story and most importantly the way we can make our own characters, I just love everything, can't wait for all the other steps!🤙.

Do the decisions we make have an impact on the entire story, or do they only affect how the chapter/step in which we make them unfolds? I hope I have explained myself clearly :/
The choices you make impact later scenes. If you decide you don't like something, you'll dislike it forever (unless you change your mind later) and people will know that. Things you do or say can become a running joke. The dynamics you have with other characters will be remembered by the game and characters will treat you differently because of it. But the choices are all about who your MC is and the relationships they have. There's no plot that can be altered with how you live your life.
This is a slice of life story about growing up through disconnected vignettes, aha. You can do different activities or choose who you spend time with based on your choices, but the game doesn't have a linear plot.
This is so good I'm almost mad for playing the demo. Like how could you hook me so hard and still be so far off. Great game, really looking forward to it.

Right now the beta has everything that will be in the public demo early next month. So for a short time the beta will stop having extra content. But in mid to late October even more new content will come out for the beta so it will once again be longer than the public demo.

Right now the mom uses your first name because there's not a good place to decide what she calls you before she has to call your name in the story. It might change later in development. I'm glad you've enjoyed it!
It seemed almost impossible to surpass the first game...but this one totally has done it and it isn't even finished yet!! In OL1, I loved the summer atmosphere because it reminds me of my country, but here in OL2 I really love the autumn scenery because autumn isn't very noticeable were I live. Out of all the customization options, I think bein able to customize colors is just FAN-TAS-TIC! It is so much fun that I cant practically stop makin new MCs ^w^/ Oh! And the music is reaaaally nice and relaxing. I have played this game around my dad who doesn't know or even like videogames, but still, he said he liked the music! And that's really impressive, hey.
Qiu and Tamarack are simply so funny and adorable! I cant wait to see what kind of adventures we will jo trough with them! As always, my friend and I will be waiting patiently for it, so good luck and keep the great work!

hi! as far as i know, there havent been any mentions of alternate routes yet, but it may be a possibility someday in the future (the devs said that they want to wait until OL:N&F is further along in its development before promising any more dlcs).
however, if you wanted to have a route with Baxter, there is a completed dlc for him in the first game, Our Life: Beginnings and Always! (aka OL1) the mc does not meet him until Step 3, but they can have a romantic (or platonic) route with him if they'd like to :)
**this also means that Baxter probably won't be getting a second dlc in OL2, since it would overlap with the first game's potential storyline
This was an absolutely amazing visual novel, even though it was just demo i felt emotionally connected to all characters in this game! Im not afraid to say this is probably the best visual novel game ive ever played. The diversity and small details in this game make it all that much better, im extremely excited for the full game to come out! Keep up the good work!
I've been interested in checking it out but I'm personally more interested in games with female romance options stories. I might check it out regardless though sense I enjoyed this one so much!
Best game I have ever played in my whole life time. The story line is so cute and makes me want to see more. The art is spectacular and all the different options you get to choose through out the game are so cool. The pronoun settings and etc. make me feel so happy and make the experience more enjoyable. I will be constantly checking for updates and recommending to everyone I can!!<3
Yeah, I doubt they'll make a DLC or romance route for him here considering we had one in OL1, and he stresses how he thinks about his childhood friends sometimes but ultimately has 0 desire to go back at all

Steps 1-3 will be released all together in 2025! I'm afraid we won't be releasing the Steps one at a time.

The first three Steps will release together and the Step 4 epilogue will come out later. That's how it worked for the first OL!
