I've never cried while playing a game. Till today. After I finished the new Eternum 0.5 update I decided to give this game a try. And I thank God I did. After watching Mike die I realized how much I loved each character. Never stop making games Caribdis. Never.

This is such an amazing game. The best ending literally made me cry. This game is so good, their is so much emotion in it. Honestly one of the best games I've ever played.

hello, this is an amazing game but I currently can't write the code in this abandoned place (where you have to write White, Red, White or something like that). pls help :(  

Oh my god what a game!! Best AVN game by far I have ever played . I’m about 80% done and don’t want to continue because then the game will end 😭. Will there be direct sequel to OiaL someday? Do you have any plans regarding this?  Or will these characters be in other games you develop, like in Eternum. I want to see how Carla’s pregnancy goes. I want to see how everyone’s life will continue after this. I want more!! Ps. Amazing work! Just amazing. 

Not gonna lie, I installed the game for the spicy content. But 10 minutes later I was so absorbed by the story that I took the H-scenes as a side dish to a massive main course of a Story. I was really sad when I finished the game, because it is way to good. I already played it three times since I got it and I still want to play it again. The only remark I have is that one bad choice ruins the Girl's path.  But Mike just makes up for all off that. I really hope Mike makes a return in Eternum (even if it's just a reference). 

Would certainly recommend to play!!

This time I played to get the complete good ending. Which made me very happy because it's worth the time to play. Also very much recommended to turn on pregnancy because it makes the game so much better.

Yet again highly recommended to play, the game is worthy of your time. Well I should say your time is worthy of this game.

Dude... im literally here just to say that im so sad that i ended this game... its so good, the girls, the history, everything, i loved this game so much, i wish it continued.. but speaking about the end, would be cool if u did kind of a DLC where u just chill with the girls after you all travel

Hello, I am in love with your game so far. Just 1 thing I want to ask is the sound track of the game. I love the main menu guitar track and the harem ending song.

I started playing on the 3rd of Feb and I'm kinda bumbed that I'm near the end. Just did the wedding bit and am at the Cafe scene... I can't stop playing but I don't want to finish. I'm so attached to this game. The Comedy, characters and everything. Like some of it has been scary as hell and I love the plot twists. I wasn't expecting the story to go down this route at all. I also love all of the trips they go on and the games. It's just unique and fun. I think the only way I can survive is with a sequel...Please tell me once you've finished your new game (which I can't wait to play) that we'll see more of the mc and everyone! I know I'm not the only one that would love a sequel 🙄✋

edit: still on the cafe scene 8 minutes later. I don't want to finish the game since everyone said they cried. I was considering playing eternum but I don't feel like I can until this is done

edit 2: Okay I think I know what's happening. When people watched the first avatar they got post avatar depression and this is my version of that 😭. I just need more of Once in a lifetime I think

Just a question for the developer: will there be any sort of crossover with Eternum? Because at one point Judie mentioned it and in one of the endings,  Azaroth mentions Calypso(I'm guessing the weapon of atlas in Eternum) and told the MC to remember that name.

p.s great game BTW absolutely loved it and it really is a once in a lifetime experience

Kind of annoying that if you do even one thing wrong, the girls in the game go from absolutely loving you to completely disinterested. Checked the walkthrough and apparently, because I didn't hack my stepmother's psychologist's emails and crash my sister's date (as I figured meeting up with the mysterious fellow who says my life depends on the meeting was more important), neither of them want anything to do with me anymore...

I suppose I could go back a way and redo specifically those choices, but then I realised I'll have to just follow the walkthrough entirely to make sure that deciding to walk on my hands instead of spinning in a circle doesn't end in celibacy, and I lost my motivation to bother.

This game is just fantastic. You can see how much passion and love went into the development of this game and through out the gameplay i can say for a fact that it really had a huge impact on me. There were times when I forgot I was playing a porn game and I felt so submerged into the story, there were times where I couldn't think of anything but the game because I was so curious about what would happen next and how everything would end.

It's hard to find people who liked it as much as i did for being... you know, a porn game, but if the creator reads this I give my thanks and congratulations to them for creating this wonderful game and I can't wait to try out his next project  Eternum and laugh, cry and have a good time playing it.

I've gone through this game multiple times and seen all the endings. All I have to say is, it is amazing! I keep coming back to it. The story telling, the animation are all 10 out 10. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see where Eternum goes. Lastly Lauren is best girl!

My wife and I just finished Once in a Lifetime earlier today and loved it. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, always enjoyable. Lovely characters and writing. Beautiful visuals (I'm a fan of your expert use of facial expressions, she must have said 4 or 5 times that your animations are incredibly fluid and lifelike) and engaging plot had us literally play an 8 hour session yesterday. We got the "happy" ending and neither of us had dry eyes by the time the credits rolled. We are absolutely stoked for Eternum and wish you all the luck in the world. Thank you for giving away your time and energy to tell us such a story.

Dude. We all knew where it was gonna go between the harem and everything else. But gotta say, excellent story telling. I was invested, and the ending was amazing. Stabby Mike for president.

I can't believe I made an account for this. I have to say it, at some point I forgot this was a porn game because man, I LOVED THIS. I loved everything at the end, even Stabby Mike (who I said was ugly and annoying until I saw him again and made me laugh, and at the same time sad). This was a great game and it definitely deserves being played! 11/10

Dude this game and Eternum are the best vn's I've played! I've honestly never been this emotionally invested in characters before and the ambiance you added was perfect!!! Just finished this game.
The graphical quality might not be on par with Eternum, but that does not mean it's any worse!

This game is so beautiful, the H scenes were amazingly done, the design of the girls are unique and mesmerizing (especially Lauren, Aiko and Carla 😍),
the story was really well written.

And the ending made me feel quite sad, which is rare to happen for me.

Best adult novel game I've ever played. I am a Chinese and there are people in China who are in love with your game as well! I laughed to death when the main character was sitting in the Japanese male pool along with the song a Twig of Plum by Fei Yu Ching. I am wordless to praise further (the humor, the horror, and the 18+ scenes, music choice, UI, character dev etc..) of this game.  Judie and Lauren are my favourites, and don't forget FOOOCKING MIKE either!

I am busy now since the semester started and I will check into Eternum when I'm free. I can feel your passion and keep it up with the astoundingly-excellent work!

I would love to play this again to see all the scenes but finals are coming up and if there was a way to just see the scenes that would be sooooo good. I truly appreciate All the work you put into this masterpiece of a game.

I love the story, very interesting with nice pacing, the comedy and references, man you know some good stuff, the scenes, so many good scenes, and the girls are so unique to one another, the UI was great for its time, it was the first game I played that you published, and man, Mike (spoiler) is the best side character, sure, he was kinda annoying at the start, but he quickly became one of the many things making once in a lifetime great. I don't regret freeing this legend of a wingman. Overall, I fkin love this masterpiece, the first adult VN to blow me away. With the amount of passion poured into this, it deserves to be payed, but im so grateful that you allowed us to play it for free, looking forward to playing Eternum when I'm free, keep up the good work Caribdis.
