Loved previous demos of the game but the most recent download (deceptionhotfix) seems to be just black screen, says something about NW.js but im clueless.

Huh, that's a new one. Thanksnfor bringing this to my attention. 

This is what I managed to scour from the websites:

"It is more likely that your NWJS is too new, than too old. Rpgmaker MV hasn't been updated in quite a while.

It is indeed possible to have a too new version of NWJS. I had this happen when I downloaded a game made by someone else, and they been working in a verer version of NWJS then I did. However, I only got a popup, but could still play the game.

You could try uninstalling NWJS and then try again. RPG maker should automatically re-install the right version of NWJS the next time you test your game. (When you reinstalled RPG maker, NWJS was untouched. That did not get uninstalled and reinstalled too, because it isn't part of the RPG maker installment.)"

Thanks, I got the Node.js to work but it seems the index.html is the blackscreen regardless if i open it in browser or through the exe. Don't know if its an issue on my end or not.

Hmm, where did you encounter this issue? If it is on the overworld after you exit the tower, then it's a weord ossue that plagues some platforms cuz the map is too big to render the hand drawn map for some, so the floor is all black 

Well its more of a once i run the exe i get a black screen rather than a start menu.

so i got a stupid idea: when i was playing and i was shown the guide of feeding your allies, i read what happens if you over exceded feeding them but when you do it with the enemy critters nothing happens and even then most of them will attack you even when you over fed them, so i was now just messing around and i said to myself, hey what if you could use that same mechanic on enemy critters and isntead of getting materials, you would get extra essence (note: i know its a stupid idea and its pretty unlikely but hey why not tell about it)

Actually i was toying around with that. But extra cash is a good idea

thanks, now will explain a bit more the idea i had, as that was just a little piece of it since i didnt knew if you would mind reading my idea (its only an opinion so dont take it as a think im asking)


now that the part of the reweard is set the other part i was thinking off is how it could be executed, for example, one way is that once they are on their last stage of growth the wayfarer (ie the character) could either:

A) have a special interaction in which if the feras is stunned the wayfarer feed it.

B) bait the feras into eating more when they are on talking/barganing stage (only applicable on max stage), tho it would have a chance to fail at the difference of bargain 


another way is that since the feras need essence to enhance themselves the wayfarer could learn a special (either meaby in a part of the story or taught by a npc) in which the wayfare uses the esscence to make an action:


A) heal your mates or enemy feras, the catch is that if the fera or your allies are full HP or you overheal them the rest of the essence will transform into size points

B) a more direct approach as an attack spell of the wayfarer, it deals little damage but its like those attacks that once it hits it leaves a mark and the more you hit that enemy more marks will happen and more size points it will gain (i see it more as another support ability but more oriented on actually dealing with enemys as using consumables or using your abilities makes the wayfarer not that special of the team (imo))

I haven’t exhausted the contents of the demo yet, but this is looking quite well done. The aesthetic feels well thought out and the combat is far beyond just reskins of RPGmakers base mechanics.

Can’t say I’m a huge fan of how much of the genre is jRPGs (which I understand is largely due to RPGM’s accessibility) but I can’t deny this is a good one of those.

My main gripe currently is the jump to chapter 7 feels very disorientating because it plops you half way between the town and the fairy portal, making the path forward in what has so far been a linear game unclear.

I spent a good 2 hours wondering if I was going the right direction because I fought my way to the portal first before finding the town.

To me it would make more sense to drop you into the town after the timeskip and introduce the party management/social features there before the player dives back into combat with their new companions.

And this is probably more of a personal taste thing, but I think most combat animations should be at least 30% faster. Turning them off completely is a shame when so much work has been put into them and some really overstay their welcome for how often you see them.

1-2 seconds is generally the sweet spot where you can process what happens but things still feel like they are moving along.

Wow, thank you for trying out Edypos. 

First of all, this is a demo and the "Chapter 7" timeskip was more of a proof of concept for players to try out and get a feel on all of the 5 Waifs. So I understand that dropping you in the middle of nowhere without context is a bit jarring. The actual game will be in a more chronological order.

For the animation, this has been a major criticism and I've been looking to fix them, save for some in order to better streamline combat. 

I suppose there's too much delay inbetween as well. 

Production should resume somewhere in mid Jan next year and I hope development will be speedy enough.

This game has a lot of soul and I’m excited to see where things go! If you need more eyes looking over the project I’d be interested in helping too.

I’m pretty good with the technical side of things and with solo(ish) projects it’s important to automate as much of the development side as possible so you aren’t spending your free time computer-wrangling.

But that barely matters in the face of how much fun the game provided. So much stuff to do and a unique art style too. Really a good game! Hope the will be an update soon :D

That's hard to decide, I think I'll go with Sal though. 

As for the bugs (and things that bug me), I've found the following:

-Somehow managed to have two transforms on Jeqblac at once (imp + wolf) It goes back to normal when I stop the immitation

-Fhey had a point where she ignored her fullness, being able to grow to size 100 without even increasing her cap. I couldn't treat overstuffed nor give her food. Solved it by offering her to big toad

-Mushrooms are missing a transform immunity on their second form, or don't go into third at all

-Kip stones can be blocked with following allies, which takes away lots of the challenge

-Sometimes allies don't follow visually when leaving the town

-Well fed doesn't give Jeqblac a bonus in closeness points

-after reviving waifs, their permanent "ailments" are gone (like scales for Sal)

-Lenwhales wide girth still works when she's being eaten, which doesn't make much sense

-There are no places to switch waifs in the tower when going back in ch.7

Is there anything else to do after beating the oasis's boss? And also, is it possible to make the waifs grow further than 25 weight/Level 5?

Thanks for playing! There's a 3rd weight form for all the waifs which can be unlocked in town with enough rapport

also there is a secret enemy after you have unlocked all the available town NPCs

上一周我又重新下载了这个游戏,并再一次迅速打通了一遍。包括招募所有人员和击败所有老板。不得不说,这是一款真的好游戏。😍我很渴望新的版本。这个项目是不会死的,它只是暂时转为休眠而已😌。可无奈的是,我无法从经济上支持作者,我还只是一个学生,没有消费能力。😓
