idk if this helps but if you wait ben does eventually walk into the safe, but it takes an extra few seconds so idk if that would be viable when trying to get a good time
after you open the safe ben will take a while to go inside the room so while the safe is opening go hug the safe until you get inside quickly get the key and go open the door
This game is fun and could become a hit game if you add a timer (starting from when you first enter the house to when you get the girl), maybe fix the characters a little bit and add fullscreen button! btw, What software do you use?
i use gdevelop and i was working on improving bens ai and the controls etc but couldnt figure it out (might try again) , however i will definitely consider adding a timer and maybe even an online leaderboard system to compare times.

if you do more levels you should make the code (if there is one) randomly generate so that ppl cant just do it right away.
i probably should do that, though i dont plan on adding much more to the game, would rather just work on a new one.
