Small Patch and Small Roadmap
Hello! It’s been pretty crazy for us here at Innersloth. Lots of things happening behind the scenes. We’ve got a small update here for you all.
Firstly, we want to be sure to talk about the cheating and hacking going on. It was pretty bad there for a bit, so Forte pushed out server changes really fast. They seemed to help a lot, but some cheats still work and now there are bugs too. There will be more server updates to fix all of this, but rushing anti-hacks is what caused the bugs, so cleaning things up is a slower process. Also rest assured that any threats made in the game are false and your devices and data are safe. If you see a hacker, ban them or find a different room.
Here's what this update contains:
- Added Anonymous Voting option
All votes appear as grey
- Added Task Bar Modes
Always mode works like normal
Meeting mode only updates the bar during meetings
Invisible mode removes the task bar entirely
- MIRA: Comms sabotage clears the security logs
-Added symbols to fix wires task
-Added cosmetics to meeting screen
-Various bug fixes
We have lots of things planned, but no real official roadmap. We play things pretty loose so we can tackle what we think the game needs most. We also don’t want to promise anything and then not provide it so it’s a scary thing to share. Here are some of the big things we are planning:
-Accounts. We’re hoping to get accounts into the game by December. This will allow players to report accounts that are toxic and/or hacking. They may be a bit barebones at first but things like friendslists will also come at a later date after launch.
-New Map. We’re hard at work on a new map (It’s Henry Stickmin themed!). This map is currently looking bigger than Polus! The map will contain plenty of new tasks and will be available for free to all players!
-Translations/Localization. The game is currently only translated into a few languages (and some of those translations are a bit rough). We’re planning on getting professional translations into multiple languages (More than we currently have, not ready to share quite which languages yet). To all the people offering to translate, thanks for reaching out, but we’ve got it under control!
-Colorblind support. This patch contains a first pass on colorblind support. We’ll continue monitoring it to see how it performs.
Mind you this isn’t the full extent of our plans. We’ve got lots of things we’re planning that we’re not quite ready to share yet! Thanks for sticking with us and enjoying the game! We’re going through some growing pains right now, but I am very excited for the future of Among Us!

Hey Innersloth I am a user of your game Among Us! I have a serious problem with the servers, it happened a week ago, everything started when I wanted to enter a server as usual but every time when I entered each server it would take me off the server and it would not let me enter but it was solved a few days ago and now when I play for about 5 minutes I get an error and it is like this You disconnected from this server.
If this happens often. Check you network strength.
This many also be a server issue. I don't know if it's my or your servers' error, please solve it or why does it get me that error every 5 minutes, please, I need help Thank you
A suggestion for mini crewmates, or pets is that if they witness the killer murder the owner, or a player, it will shake or have a visible hint to the presence of the impostor, simply from the trauma. If this suggestion was to be used, there could be a short visual for completing tasks, like a little cheerleader. Although this determines people's superiority, from purchasing a pet, they purchase an advantage to not be sussed. There are pros and cons to my opinion, but I would love a feature of a traumatised pet shaking in the presence of the impostor.
Amazing idea! You are smart!
Although this is a decent idea, I'm against it simply because cosmetic items that cost money shouldn't give in-game advantages. You can already catch impostors out in lying about where you died if you see the pet in a different location, which is enough of an advantage IMO.
Every person who uses pro strats: I want this, I want this now.
how to update?
(Mobile) Go to your app store search among us and press update. (If there is an update available). (Steam) Go to your steam library, go to among us and press update. (If there is an update available)
Another thing, please put that toxicity fighting thing on quick. I was was banned from a room because they are salty and I killed them. Me killing you is not a valid reason to ban someone. I think that people should be banned from the game for about 10 minutes for that because that is annoying and rude. People talk with other people irl, and can talk with them about how they were banned for no reason. That gets around and then everyone who hears that are going to find a random room, see that its a salty person that they were warned about, and leave. Then the salty people are going to think that they are being treated unfairly, when its something that they brought in themselves

Can you make it so that people who repeatedly and volunteerly leave the game before the first meeting (because they weren't imposter) won't be imposter again unless they finish multiple games as crewmate?
I made an account to second this comment! So many ruined games, because people are selfish or fishing for content. I had about ten crew games in a row and then three back to back imposters. Just play the game.
I've had soo many games that were 10 people with 2 imposter go to 7 as soon as the imposters were named. Its hard not to die on a dubble kill at 6 with so little info. Then there's the people who disconnect due to lost connection on top of that ive seen the imposters win with 1 kill and noone voted out. Just disappointing for all involved.
That's actually a brilliant idea to ensure people don't leave because they didn't get impostor. Implement logic that prevents them from becoming one if they leave games.
Great idea. I think the way to fix this is that you will only be included in random, assignment of imposter if you did not quit your previous game. So you must play one game as crewmate without quitting to have a chance at imposter.
It has to be for someone who leaves multiple games in a row because people should be able to stop playing for real world issues and preferably the people should have to at least play 5 games as crewmate before they are in the running to play imposter again.
I love how you added the symbols to the wires task! I had a friend who has really bad colourblindness, and she used to take forever on that task, then people would call an emergency meeting and say she was faking the task
We want to play hide and seek games! Anything you can do with that?
I’ve never understood how that is fun. Unless you turn all the vision down to nearly nothing, but every server that plays this always has crazy maxed out vision.
Hide and seek is way more fun with friends and a VC on discord. The public lobby ones are always a failure. I suggest avoiding the lobby ones and do some hide and seek with friends! That way you and talk to each other, scream and freak each other out, and make more fair settings! Way more fun that way ((:
make sure you set players to max vision and imposter to min vision
It really is a ton of fun when playing with friends on VC. Make all player max vision and imposter min vision. Set Imposter to minimum kill distance. Imposter announces at the start who they are. They sabotage comms and are not allowed to sabotage anything else. Players are not allowed to fix comms or report bodies but must complete all tasks to win. Imposter can use vents (although you might want to disallow that if you need to balance the game out). We also allow all players to talk freely throughout the game. The imposter is on the same vc so you have to be careful what you say.
Everytime I play a game and it's over and I pick play again among us closes on me and I have to reopen the app and play in a didn't group
When other people make report or complain, will you investigate first or straight away banned them? Just now I got some threat.. They were siblings and I pressed emergency button saying that her bro vent and the sis said that they gonna report me under hacking.. But I never hack or use crazy tricks.. I genuinely saw the bro use vent.. And also, can u make something about people left in the middle of the game? I'm okay with the one that left when they died but the others is just annoying.. Maybe u can banned them for some amount of time so they afraid to left the game.. Anyway, other than that, the game is great eventho there are few things quite irritating while playing with strangers. Keep it up and love you Among Us!

But you need to add that report option as soon as you can. I was recently kicked out of a game because I didn't want the color green. When I went back to the room to ask for an answer they asked if I had a big ass. They said that they wanted to feel it. I don't want you to make the chat game related phrases but I don't want that happening again. I would appreciate it if you would add something where if someone says something like that you can press a button that would allow you to find the character, tap their name, tell the offence, and the game bans them. This would actually go well with your account plans.
I have a tip for a language to add, and it is swedish, it is not for me because I do know english as well but I know that there is a lot of swedish people playing Among us because of discord servers and I have met some norweigan people as well so it might be another language that could be good to add. Don't feel like you need to listen at anything in this comment it is just a recomendation if you get some time over. I know that you already have a lot of things to do. I know that you don't need help with language but if you do want to add swedish I'm always down to help with anything. Have a nice day and keep up the great work because you are doing an amazing job. It does that to me multiple times a day now
Thank you for making it to where you can report people some people are really creepy and its scary. I once joined a server and someone asked my country, when I answered they immediately responded with what's your home address. Any kids playing please watch out for this
I have an issue with the game where after every match the app closes I thought I had the issue fixed when I updated my phone uninstalled the game restarted my phone then reinstalled the game. I played like 2 games then it went back to closing the app after every match. I am the only one in my family with this issue.
The changes are fun and the new update works on iPad but in Polus on iPhone the record temp task in Lab and by Lava pool cannot be utilized. Quite a few player are experiencing this as well as issue reporting bodies in lab. We click “use” or “report” and nothing happens.
hey inner sloth I have downloaded among us version ???/???/??? I can't remember but how do I update it since sometimes it kicks my saying you got kicked you may be running a older version and to update it

I disagree. I think that would actually only lead to more problems.
They should make it so when you're in a game it automatically mutes your mic then only during meetings you can speak.
That would be a bad idea because if somebody sweares little kids will hear it in their ear drums
