I have an IMPORTANT question: I want to download tentacles thrive for Mac but yeah its not downloading its just a piece of paper with I have no use for pls help pls I need it I played it on browser (still playing but in incognito mode not on purpose ofc and yeah data won't save please I need someones help pls)
I am using the v4.07 and I see that if I place the game (.exe) too deep into pc the save wont work (the save directory where the save file located cant reach the location of game). So I place the game not too deep into pc (place at 'document' works for me: C>Users> (your pc name)> Documents. Hope you understand what im saying. So far this method works for me
so i was wondering how do i advance ? like all i've been able to do is go to the secret garden and bond with only 4 monsters in the garden and all i've been to discorver in the garden are 5 but the ones that could actually bond with were Butanga, Dubois, Moth and Slime eye and i couldn't bond with octoseal bc whenever im about to get the final scene for octoseal it freezes and goes to straight to "bonding" and skips all of the dialog and the end illustration and can't fully bond with octoseal and im aware that you can do battles and invade territories and bond with monsters outside of the secret garden but im not too sure how to do that either, pls help
To bond with monster outside secret garden you need to choose : bonding>'monster you want to bond with'> choose which area at secret garden the monster availble ( you need to test each area bcs each monster have their respective area). Example: bonding> scorpe> dessert (as I remember). Thats it you can bind with slingmantis
Is it safe? It requires Flash so I'm scared, that I can get malware. Can you assure me, that this doesn't happen when I download it? I don't say that the game contains it, but can some other thing get to it and make bad things? I hope not :D
you can get some items when you have conquered a land and you choose a tentacle monster who will train there. For example you can get some meat that can be given to tentacles who are hungry through bonding.
First you have to injure your tentacle monster by for example the ones who are bad at scouting send them until they get injured. After that you should receive a skill to nurse/heal your tentacle and the next step is to build your royal army which you use for invading other surrounding territories.
I really wish there was a good guide to explain what monsters are best for beating each area, the only thing I really struggle with is the combat. I don't get what makes certain monsters attach to eachother and ugh, I like everything else but I just can not get this combat. Why has nobody made a guide to this? The wiki don't actually explain anything at all. It's really frustrating to have it be such a glaring black mark against what I consider an otherwise really fun game.
My original intent of making the game is to have simple, perverted fun, while having a more in depth gameplay (the battle) if people decide to indulge in it. The part is certainly more difficult than just breeding. It might more difficult than I intended^O^ There will still be more tools like expanding royal army slots that would help a bit in the future.

it would be cool if there where 2 bonding modes, one where there's just one looping animation (but still different every session) , and one where an animation plays matching the script the whole time.

Had the same issue. After you install the game thru itch's "install" button, - you need to manually launch the .exe without the itch inteface: just double click "Tentacles Thrive Alpha v4_07.exe" file in wherever folder it installed itself. Solved the issue for me.
The save file is called "TTv4_Save.sol" which should be in C:\Users\-user-\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\-random text-\localhost\-your itch.io install path-\Tentacles Thrive Alpha v4_07.exe\
You can check if its being created/updated when you save your game.
thanks for the game the game play is easy to move around it so i can force it the way i need which is great but i ran into a problem when i trained monsters into areas for special items i cant get the monster back. for example i trained my blood star for a special rock in the valpines and another in my royal party to find feathers on the lower bank but they both disappeared from my party and can no longer be used in battle nor retrieved from finding resources.
Hey is there a reason combat and some story might not be showing up? I keep seeing comments about combat and I see the screenshot but I haven't had any introduction to combat and I'm around day 50
EDIT: I've also just realized that I haven't found any gold or minerals
Got a bug to report. I was conquering the surroundings, and right as I finished the battle against the lowerbanks, a commoner tried to talk to me, making the map uninteractable. I figure that part is intentional, but unfortunately his speech box doesn't appear, so I can't proceed. I have no way to explore or return to the secret garden. I reloaded, and the same thing happened at the lowerbanks. When I tried to explore, the fact that I can't click on the map means that I broke the game completely, as there doesn't seem to be a way to get out of exploring without making an attempt
Figured out that it only occurs when I give birth as the battle ends.
I’m surprised by how i have 0 complains about the game, the art, storyline and combat are really good so far, can’t wait to play the future updates! :)

It does, try to put .exe file at the surface of your directory. not too deep . Such as put it at Desktop, Documents, Videos, Pictures,... etc

In the game, go to the house at secret garden> diary> save
How to occupy territory?
After you capture so much, you just plain dont. Nothing will ever beat the monsters you get thrown against.

u mean hearts in the secret memory?? after u reach 5 hearts u will unlock gallery/photo

You can use Bonding > Use item
Brings up an empty parchment, doesn't let you select food to give.

How do you bond with tentacles that aren't from springmount???
Just chose the tentacle you wish to bond with and try to find which area at secret garden the tentacle availble (mountain, cave, forest ,etc)
i'm traggling with 'trian' skill task ... what i need to do .. i trained same monster in multiple territories and nothing .

for training, you gotta make sure the chosen monster has a habitat to live in the territory otherwise he wont bring back any items

Instinct unlocks all types of skillsets, including Invade, if you haven't already.
If you mean the Instinct skill you unlock at the near beginning of the game then I already have that.
