This is getting a little far I’m locking this post.

ok click this link, I’m not sure how long this link can stay active though… https://itch.io/jam/386604/add-game/2687603/2456691?token=uIG3kaLyp4QGY5x5YdeufYIWLs

ok then, I’ve temporarily removed your game from the jam. You should be able to upload the fixed version now. Once you’re done with that, message me.

Well I can allow you to reupload your fixed version but since you don’t use discord the process might be a little tedious. Plus, if you reupload now, you will lose your 5 ratings. So I will actually recommend you to keep your current game as it is and only reupload it after the jam is over (since the web version can still be considered as playable up until the stepping stones level). Let me know what you think.

Hi there. I will need to have more information from you. Can we chat in discord? Thanks.

yipee!

kalanggam is correct.

Yea sorry this game is developed and published way before this jam started, evident by the dates of the comments in that game. I’m disqualifying it sry.

Tips and Advice

These tips and advice are observed and taken from previous jams.

1. Make a simple game

You might have heard of this tip a million times before, but I still have to state it here because it is so important and has been ignored by so many game jammers. While doing game jams, your main focus should not be to make a perfect, mechanic-rich game. Instead, it should be to make a playable game.

2. Upload a browser game

Although this is not a requirement, it is still highly recommended for you to do so. Nobody wants to spend 1 minute downloading a 20MB file made in 1 week, only to use it for 5 minutes.

3. Don't be to rigid while interpreting the theme

You may interpret the theme however you like! Jam themes are meant to be interpreted creatively. Don't be afraid to go wild on the theme!

4. Be active in the community

Want your games to be played by other jammers? Constantly post updates about your game on our discord server! Chat and help out others! Play and rate other people's games! By establishing your presence in the community, people will be curious about what game you submitted in the jam. Eventually, your submission will be played by others.

5. Submit early

Submit your game at least 1.5 hours before the deadline. Trust me, there'll always be last-minute bugs that you have to fix upon submission.

thx :D

Thank you for your comment :D If this game receives good feedbacks, we might plan on expanding it UwU

thx for enjoying it :D

fun game and nice idea. but since this game doesn’t have ammo, maybe you can just enable auto shooting so that we don’t have to hold onto the left mouse button to shoot.

image.png bro my score is 10 times higher than yours

Ok haven’t seen a mic used as a gun before. The game is a little on the hard side for me so I didn’t get far. Liked the atmosphere.

The game idea is so stupid but somehow kinda works. Really liked the visuals and the music choice. Though the game idea is really creative, it doesn’t hit me enough for me to give it a high rating. I’ll give you high ratings for audio and visuals but not so much for the theme implementation.

Really fun. And really nice idea too. This game has the potential to win the jam. If I have to give some criticisms, I’d say that the music gets a little repetitive over time.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback!

Yep indeed we ran out of ideas for the theme and special object. This is an inaccuracy on our side and we will definitely do better next time.

Glad that you liked the audio and the visuals :D

thx!

thank you for enjoying it :D

Thanks for pointing out the bug! The bug should be fixed now.

hmm, looks like I need to make a remaster of the game to make it even harder

wow thx!

yay

good job

wow this game is a hidden gem! The pixel art is extremely detailed and extremely well made. The controls felt smooth and the music is soothing. You should have more ratings!

thx!

thx!

sorry…

This game is a little on the hard side; I didn’t get far.

I would appreciate if checkpoints are added. And it would be helpful if the player sprite has more contrast to the background. Plus, in my opinion, snappy movement will make this game much more enjoyable.

But I do like the visuals and music, well done!

Thx for liking it haha!

A fun and nice little game! The music is upbeat and I like it! I hope my space bar likes it as much as I did ^_^

thx!

Thx!

thx for the feedback! I used a custom dialogue plugin to make the dialogue system in the game, and I had no idea how to customize the plugin to have custom fonts, I’ll look into that more. Thx

Thx for the comment. I used custom css to achieve the intended effect. You can message the itch support team to request for a custom css editor and they’ll allow you to do that.

thx!

This game is really fun! With great graphics too!
