very unique puzzler, being that one character is AI controlled. very challenging, gut stucked a few times, but managed to complete. Voiced narrator also gives so much personality to this game. Really great job!

Very neat puzzler with a nice little difficulty spike that may have taken me longer than I would like to admit. The voice over for the game was also great, Good Job!

Wonderful submission!! Gosh this reminded me of many cool puzzle type games on NES - it would have fit right in! Well done finishing it within the game jam timeframe and kudos on the polish - really like the touch of having the narration between levels.

I was very close to giving up on stage 3 and coming back later after some sleep haha. The scale of stage 3 and the realization that there would be even more back and forth mechanics between the hero and the player's actions was absolutely daunting but I'm glad I persevered. Stage 2 alone took me way longer than I'd like to admit. But I stuck in there and it really paid off. I won't deny it was a bit of a relief to see there wasn't an even crazier stage four! Though I'd definitely be keen to play more.

This is a fantastic concept that I'd imagine would have an audience as a commercial game. So many good ideas and puzzle elements are crammed into these few levels. I think you could easily spread out many of these mechanics like introducing the chest system, key, amulet, etc across many more levels without it feeling repetitive. The narration, music and effects all fit well with the visual style too.

Great submission, definitely one of my favorites so far!

We didn't realize how big the difficulty spike was until we were almost done, but it's been awesome to hear from people who pushed through and figured it out, especially with so many submissions to play and rate. Thanks for sharing your experience and the lovely feedback!

I like the narration, lovely game but a bit challenging :D

Lovely narration in between complex levels to set the tone of the game, not going to lie, my brain had a tough time understanding the mechanics on this one :D

Very challenging game, It took me a little longer than I would like to admit to realize that you can only hold one item at a time but I absolutely loved this. Great challenge, The levels felt so rewarding to complete and I loved the stupidity of the hero who just jumps into pits bc why not lmao. Good job team!

I really liked the idea and the levels were fun and challenging :)

Five stars all around. This game was so fun and challenging. One of the few games I played until the end. That last level was tough! Really great work. Thanks for sharing your game!!!

What certain items do may not immediately seem obvious, as well as the overall goal of the level. It would also be nice to be able to skip the after-death scenes. Otherwise, a great game, in which, obviously, a lot of effort has been invested! Loved the style.

Great Music and Sounds. Voice-over alone is top notch along with the writing. It is quite hard to figure out the first level but eventually got it.

Loved the voice over immediately got me more interested and engaged. Puzzles hard but enjoyable

Hi! Thanks for checking out our game. Just noticed the game started at the last level, forgot to change it back after bugfixing.

I think you might enjoy the earlier levels, if you have the time to try it out again :)

Cool sounds and music, nice interpretation and hard but addictive puzzles. Even when I was loosing one time after another I really wanted to keep playing it.
Played, enjoyed and rated :D
Congratulations on this entry!

I really like this, especially the way you used the theme and how it informed the central mechanic.  The vibe is nice; I like the simple art and music, and voice acting is always impressive to me for a game jam!

The one issue I had was that it was a bit confusing for me when first being dropped into it. When I first started playing, I didn't even understand that my moves were synced with those of the other character, and by the time I even figured that out, there were actual puzzle mechanics to learn (it took me really long to understand that you somehow put the key and amulet in the treasure chests with the arrow things, I think?).

That said, once I got into it, I couldn't quit playing, even though I kept losing anyway. It was quite fun to try to puzzle out once the mechanics started coming together for me.

Anyway, great work, and awesome use of the theme!

Great story, great sound along with voices over! Theme and story are nice too! The first level seems quite hard but I might just be bad at it :) Great job!
