accomplishments.
erm. hi. it’s been a while, i know. i skipped last month’s update, so i’ll give you a lengthy one for march. truth be told, i haven’t been able to touch when twilight strikes for a while. this is not because i don’t want to, but mostly because i’ve been busy with school and/or have been struggling with writer’s block. because of this, i made the decision to scrap what i had written for chapter eleven and start (kinda) from scratch. now, before you go and panic, let me explain.
the reason i’ve been taking so long on this chapter is that, well, i screwed up. i found a (rather large) plot hole that i’ve been trying to fix, and the solution i came up with was, uh, interesting. definitely not my greatest idea. but because i had already written so much, i kept pushing forward, hoping that things would straighten out and i’d miraculously like the chapter by the time i finished. haha, very funny. as you can tell, that didn’t end up happening. i didn’t particularly hate what i wrote, i could just tell that it was absolute bullshit. and while sometimes that works, it just was not doing it for me here. so i cut it.
i was able, however, to save a bunch of it for the new draft, so i didn’t completely start over, but i am definitely down a lot of words compared to what i had written initially. i’m not super bummed out about it, but i am upset that that means i’m again behind on getting this out to you. i know it’s been a while since i’ve published any updates and hearing that i’ve pushed things back is probably not very fun, but i promise, now that i’ve got my plot hole sorted out, things are going much smoother.
i’m currently in the thick of final exams so i haven’t been able to write as much as i’ve wanted to lately, but the good news is that i’m graduating (WOOOOO!) so i won’t have any more school work to distract me anymore. once mid-april hits, i’m free everybody.
(on that note, thank you for being so patient and sticking by me. i see new fans joining every day and it warms my heart that so many of you continue to enjoy this story. i appreciate you so much more than you know).
I love this game, I always come back to check for updates (take your time though). I have like- 7 saves of the game. 5 for each romance option, one for trying to romance them all just to see what'll eventually happen, and one for making everyone hate me.
i've never left a comment on this game before (which, i could've sworn i did!) but i first discovered this game, like, two years ago? and i always come back to check for updates. this is not with the intention of asking about updates (because life happens, and making games are hard!! i've tried before, and it's a LOT of work) but just to say that i love love LOVE this game! thank you so much for making it >< when twilight strikes was one of the first itch games i played, and actually what got me into making an itch account! (and therefore discovering most of the dating sims i like today, since that's the most common type of game i play lol) it's actually my favourite itch game, and i love how there's romance but also a plot that i'm actually super duper interested in. bit of a long comment, but thank you so much for making this game! i love it <3 also since this is already super long i'll just say that A and Blane are my favourite characters to romance, but i love literally all of the protags? the game is SO well written. good luck with writing + life in general, and just know that this game is amazing!
i've comeback to this IF for quite some time, and the more I played it, the more I find Ciel in his interrogation scene as annoying. Bro really go out to projecting its inner turmoil onto the MC 💀
I just spent all day binge playing this game; when I caught up it felt like I was coming out of a trance. Very immersive storytelling! I keep seeing comments about Blane, but where's the love for my boy Nikolas? He's so sweet lmao
Blane, my beloved, I will make you mine 😔, anyways thank you dev for this amazing game it changed my brain chemistry fr, the world building and mystery is so amazing and I cant wait for ep 11 <3
Okay let me just start of by saying that I love this worldbuilding. It's such an interesting take on supernaturals in the modern world. Your writing made me grind this through for the last two days, and I'm gonna keep going until there's a new chapter (no pressure ofc).
The characters are so diverse and fleshed out too! I've been romancing Blane, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of insight we are given, be it from his POV or just interaction.
But it's not just the RO, I also came to absolutely stan Sebastian. While it might be my patriotic bias as a fellow Vietnamese, his character is just so fun to interact with (I CALLED HIS HOMO-NESS FOR CAINE!!!) Part of me was deathly afraid of him pulling strings behind the scenes in Caine's mysterious dissapearance, which was eased by him being *fucking exhausted on a genuine level*, which I figured he wouldn't be if he subjected himself to all that bs willingly, but it wasn't quite gone.
When at the end of chapter nine, we got his POV, I could derive lots of information about his stand point (his non-involvement with his bestie's dissapearance) and Caine as well (that guy is such a mystery to me, still). Let's hope Sebastian is a safe option for a kin, and leave it at that.
I'm looking forward to the forthcoming chapters!! Much love and hugs, staying tuned <33
This is tied for the best piece of IF I've ever read, which is saying a huge amount. It's excellent, and while like most stories, I have no idea where you're taking it, you should be proud of what you have here. I don't want to pressure you to continue it, but you happen to be an excellent writer, and letting such talent go to waste is a disservice to yourself and to the rest of the world.
