Why wait on confirmation? I do not see activity here recently, so at the time the dev might respond, the malware will already have done it's damage.
Oh wait, you think it is only pirated, do you? Those impostor games are malware. And for the rare non malware a report does not hurt either.
Was gonna wait on the off-chance that it was the developer that some how lost their main account, but the more I think about it the more I realize that you're probably right.

Путём проверки apk пришёл к предположению, что причина в том, что часть картинок названы с большой буквы.

Game is in Russian by default and when I click the language option is gives me an error.

The new update is giving an error in the mission where you have to go to a colleague's house with just an umbrella. Do you already have an update?
why the game is no longer free ??
Greed. They dont update the game for almost a year and decide that they'd probably rather pull whatever profit they can before they pull the plug.
I don't like to pile on the negativity but I agree. It does seem really scummy to rake in 2k every month and maybe release an update every 8 months
I get it man. I loved this game a lot but it's painstakingly clear that they gave up on it and want to profit and move on. It's a shame for us tho

They changed it back to free like 7 hours ago, according to my notifications.
it was $10 as of a week ago. Like 2 or 3 days ago they bumped it down to $5. Now it's free again
