I heard this game had pregnancy. How far does it go? Is it just end game content or is there a bit more to it like raising a family, seeing them grow up, interact with them, etc?
Eternum is far more than just any full dive VR game, it's a realm of reality, I think it's a world outside the real world, and someone's goal in Ulysese's is to have everyone live the lives forever in Eternum, I think the NPC's in eternum could be the souls of Dead Humans, Either living out their lives, completing their goals, or ultimately trying to find their place.
Thanatos is a good example of this, from where I am in the game currently, I've seen that Thanatos might actually be dead, and how he is practically Ulysese's way of getting the Gem of Doom (Mainly William Bardot, he's their mercenary, that they can send where ever he is needed, which explains how he got on to the unreleased server. He probably was a high level player, and the company most likely saw use in him, so he died, maybe by a praetorian or some other force, so then they could make him a realistic NPC that they can use to track down the Gem of Doom to overthrow the Founder.
I think that NPC's are dead people, my only proof to back this up was when MC was getting all the flashbacks, when he saw a picture of the Woman's son, Thanatos is a Human that died, and became a NPC, which could mean that Eternum could be a whole different world/Reality, that is controlled by the company, and the NPC's are just dead trapped souls
Kind of like the creator of SAO trapping people in his game, so that he could experience what it was like to own his own world, and take the role of God.
This is all I have to say for now, but this game has some insane lore in it. Can't wait to discover more
I didn't start looking at the gallery until after I did a playthrough. How do I confirm I have everything in the gallery/replay? Is it just as long as nothing shows up as grayed out?
I'm having a pretty similar issue. I've completed the whole game including the new update but some of the scenes in the gallery are locked, and i'm certain that i've seen them.
(this game so good i made an account just to post this) Honestly, Im a bit skeptical about games that contain nsfw, but this game is something else. Not only are you able to have those scenes, but it is also possible to almost completely avoid them. The story has to be 10/10, as well as the relation to current trends and memes today, making the humour on point. The suspense and plot twists leave you on edge, making you literally crave for more. I could not recommend a better story game with the extra spice. Props to the legends who developed this masterpiece (and no Im not meat riding on purpose). The only flaw is not having voices for the girls in those... scenes, but these are all minor things that could be done in later future. Cannot wait for next update.
God I love this game, Idk what else to say but imagine Annie with a british accent and Nova with a scottish one and you'll have their canon voices (to me) (pure headconnon moment right here)

That's ok as long as it's optional. If I was a new first time player, I'd probably hate being forced to read a summary. An option for it would be good though but that might be more effort than it's worth from a developers viewpoint also. It's a great enough game that I'd play from the beginning to refresh my memory.

Genuinely the best Visual Novel type game I have ever played, just played 0.7 and it was fantastic, you could honestly take all the sex out and it would still be great, I love the Ready Player One type vibes and you are genuinely an amazing creator, I hope the rest of development goes fantastic!

So I usually just sit and play visual novels and never make comments, not my thing. I've never had any complaints about any of them so meh but this one! Has to be my all time favorite!! I've been playing it since 0.4 and patiently waiting for updates. I can't even tell you what it is between the girls, their different personalities which are all great! Shy, confidence in themselves, whatever ya call Alex.......rebel with a heart sorta? Not sure if you would consider some of the references as easter eggs but the MC.......seven deadly sins? I LOVE the ending of 0.7 and i really really hope this will not be concluded by "oh this was just a dream this isnt real" or some other bullshit lazy explanation for how this is going to be solved, it would also be really cool and unexpected if this wouldnt be solved at all. anyways i am really looking forward to 0.8 now, great work as always caribdis, i trust you will find a clever way to write your characters out of this predicament without using lazy plot devices.
I really like the game and especially the story captivated me, but I noticed that a few of the scenes I already unlocked are missing in the gallery now all of a sudden. Is there any possible reason for this and how do I unlock them again, without having to start again
either you replay or you just get a gallery unlocker if youre lazy, this never happened to me tho so idk what you did that this happened. maybe you got the scenes, went back, chose the wrong thing to not get the scene and then ocntinued? the scenes only unlock if you actually get them, there is no "overall gallery" if you start a new game the gallery will be empty again.
Hi asking again, how to not lose the progress after downloading the 0.6 version. Though i love the game but i would much rather start to where i left of and continue progress instead of starting from the start again.
Go to the folder which had the former update (v0.6); go to the "game" subfolder; copy the "saves" folder into the "game" folder of the 0.7 update and normally you should be good to go
for me it just works automatically basically, i delete the 0.6 folder and get the 0.7 folder and i have my old saves just in there. reason is propably an eternum file in the appdata folder that is not deleted when deleting the 0.6 files, im on windows.
C:\Users\{your_user}\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\Eternum-1610153667 So yeah, saves are located both in the game folder and in AppData, so you can delete old version without any problems
This game is incredible, I just finished it for the first time, 0.1-0.6, and its amazing. Legitimately funny, a really good story line, excellent pacing so you're never bored, and some genuinely fantastic characters. I never want it to end, I was sad at first when i realised I was getting to the end of 0.6, but with 0.7 on the way soon, I'm thrilled. Definitely recommend this game❤️❤️❤️

Secondly, as a fan of yours, I have been chasing from version 0.1 to the current 0.7, which is a long time, and you have really spent a lot of time to update 0.7, but the game quality and story are very perfect, I hope the future version will be the same. I vaguely remember a time when the gap between updates was 4 months and this 0.7 update took almost 8 months, which is a long time to wait and it makes me feel sick although Penelope's scene really impressed me. I would love for you to update faster but if the quality of the game is not good, I would rather have the quality of the game be perfect than the speed of the update and I'm willing to wait longer.
Finally I would like to say that I love ETERNUM, it is the perfect game and I love the story here far more than the porn CG. I won't reveal the story in case players read this comment and lose their enthusiasm for the story. The story has been very relaxing so far. Depends on if you're taking your time or not. I personally enjoy savoring the journey so like 12ish hours to get to where we are now? If you like just rolling through everything, you could probably get through it in a few hours.
This is totally random and out there, but I'm doing another playthrough in preparation for 0.7 and I only just saw a weird detail. Spoilers for anyone who hasn't played through to like 0.3 I guess? Also, yes, this is another ramble from me...
During the dream sequences early on (talking 0.2, right after the study session with Alex), the figure that appears and talks to MC is covered in butterflies. Later on, we get the weird interlude talking about Kredon's Butterflies and their ties to the strange weather.
Just trying to make sense of the weird things going on in the game (Weird in a good way). Caribdis is seeding things, obviously, that hopefully get conclusions by 1.4 (I'm manifesting destiny here since they said between 12 and 14 releases will be had by the end of this journey). The dream sequences are getting stranger and stranger each time I play through, because each time I notice something new (Which considering I've been around since right after 0.2 released and do at least one full playthrough each time an update is released is impressive, kudos Caribdis).
Like, the MC gets the weird phone call urging him to seek Calypso right after arriving in Kredon, then has the first dream of creepy boy before playing Eternum for the first time. Obviously his 100% compatibility is at play somehow, as the Founder acknowledges him right away, Idriel mentions that MC is hopefully the one to finally get it right, and we keep getting these interactions with people (Who I think are NPCs/dead people/enslaved souls) asking if the MC will help them (Important to note, they're not asking him to help them, they're asking if he will, which implies free will matters, same as when Idriel asks the heads or tails question and likes if you break the chain).
We know for a fact that Eternum is able to be modified from Kredon in small ways, Annie mentions you need a lot of skills to modify terrain in your Ion visit, and Nova obviously hacks a way into Ogygia, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Eternum is servers (Thanks Axel for cementing that), but we know it's connected to Earth digitally somehow.
Sort of the last thing I noticed this playthrough is MC's noting that his mom left early on in his life (My brain had it she died before this playthrough), I don't know why but this jumped out at me. What with the 100% compatibility and Calypso's whole heritage thing coming into play for her abilities.
The real last thing, this is straight up just theorizing (A game theory? RIP) but I believe that the founder is the human king from Calypso's legend, the gems of doom are the same as the ones in her story, and the NPCs in the game are people of different worlds. It's noted that they all have a chip in the same place as the neural implant and can be controlled with the new hacker boxes introduced in 0.4, but otherwise go about their lives. Ulysses seems to want to control everything, but the Founder and Idriel (Who I still think is the Elven Queen from Calypso's story, or somehow related at least) want someone who won't. The Gates of Acheron the ten gems of doom open I believe is releasing all the NPCs from Ulysses control, restoring the worlds to their own natural order (possibly sealing them off, which would be reason for Calypso to not be a "main" girl since you can't end with her. Please prove me wrong here, Caribdis).
Actual last thing, still think Hyas should go to Dalia. She's earned it.
EDIT: Found this when you're logging into Eternum to get Calypso... Makes me want to go back through and try to see if there are any other single frame secrets... Good god, Caribdis, can this get any better?
I'm just gonna keep adding to my own wild theories here for anyone interested.
Replaying the game, Caribdis hides so much in the tiny instances that I'm only just finding. The chapter-ends with the flashes for MC hide a lot each time (0.1 shows Benjamin, Thanatos, Idriel, the Founder, and an Ion Praetorian with different eyes, or at least I think they look different, 0.2 shows some sort of weird russian basement wherein MC meets his doppelganger then there's like a tornado of blood and the doppelganger is gone? Will update as the playthrough gleans more).
Also, went on a weird tangent to look into a bunch of the Greek mythology that's Caribdis has used. The obvious being Calypso stuck in the Ogygia server by Ulysses (the Roman, and thus B*stardized, version of Odysseus), reverse of the greek myth. Each of the weapons of Atlas share a name with a greek titan's child (Specifically the Oceanids and Atlas), Hyas being a hunter, Dhione an oracle, and Calypso a sorceress, meaning Nova's comment that Calypso could be magical since Hyas is melee and Dhione ranged isn't crazy.
Spoilers for 0.6, Thanatos has Hyas.
Hyas' only achievement was getting killed while hunting lions, so I think we may see Thanatos hunt the MC and his harem only to be killed by his own prey. Dhione being an oracle, a being known for foresight and prophecy I think fits well with Nova, she's the obvious nerd-brain of the crew (They're all smart though, which honestly makes all of them best girl imo) with her eye being both a strength and weakness for her. Calypso's connections other than being magical and trapped I've drawn a blank. Random connection though, Calypso's blue flash being released is the same coloration as when Eternum connects to the MC, which is probably to do with Calypso's portal ability (possibly her ability being what allowed Ulysses to create the Exit Portals and connections to other worlds?) and trapping her in the box whilst having similar boxes be what frees NPCs from Ulysses' control makes her the crux of whatever is actually going on in Caribdis' story they're expertly weaving.
Again, will probably post again tomorrow as I go frame by frame through other sections...

Your games have honestly have been a breath of fresh air, I love gaming but in recent years I find myself falling out of love with more and more games, yet finding less and less games to fill that void. This left me with a growing resentment towards the state of games and even gaming itself.
However everytime I play one of your games I feel that resentment wash away and my love for gaming shine through once more.
Your games my have erotic scenes but are much more than that and I would play them even devoid of that content, and it is some of the best of it's kind I've found as well. Your a shining example I compare every developer to and in my eyes are simply the best in the business.

Another 100/10 game, amazing sex scenes(tho the camera moving by itself is kinda annoying to me), amazing and captivating story. Expected boobs and sex but got loneliness and depression(not really, I knew what to expect from Once in a lifetime). Can't wait for more, keep up the good work!

Depends on if you're taking your time or not. I personally enjoy savoring the journey so like 12ish hours to get to where we are now? If you like just rolling through everything, you could probably get through it in a few hours.
During the dream sequences early on (talking 0.2, right after the study session with Alex), the figure that appears and talks to MC is covered in butterflies. Later on, we get the weird interlude talking about Kredon's Butterflies and their ties to the strange weather.
Just trying to make sense of the weird things going on in the game (Weird in a good way). Caribdis is seeding things, obviously, that hopefully get conclusions by 1.4 (I'm manifesting destiny here since they said between 12 and 14 releases will be had by the end of this journey). The dream sequences are getting stranger and stranger each time I play through, because each time I notice something new (Which considering I've been around since right after 0.2 released and do at least one full playthrough each time an update is released is impressive, kudos Caribdis).
Like, the MC gets the weird phone call urging him to seek Calypso right after arriving in Kredon, then has the first dream of creepy boy before playing Eternum for the first time. Obviously his 100% compatibility is at play somehow, as the Founder acknowledges him right away, Idriel mentions that MC is hopefully the one to finally get it right, and we keep getting these interactions with people (Who I think are NPCs/dead people/enslaved souls) asking if the MC will help them (Important to note, they're not asking him to help them, they're asking if he will, which implies free will matters, same as when Idriel asks the heads or tails question and likes if you break the chain).
We know for a fact that Eternum is able to be modified from Kredon in small ways, Annie mentions you need a lot of skills to modify terrain in your Ion visit, and Nova obviously hacks a way into Ogygia, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Eternum is servers (Thanks Axel for cementing that), but we know it's connected to Earth digitally somehow.
Sort of the last thing I noticed this playthrough is MC's noting that his mom left early on in his life (My brain had it she died before this playthrough), I don't know why but this jumped out at me. What with the 100% compatibility and Calypso's whole heritage thing coming into play for her abilities.
The real last thing, this is straight up just theorizing (A game theory? RIP) but I believe that the founder is the human king from Calypso's legend, the gems of doom are the same as the ones in her story, and the NPCs in the game are people of different worlds. It's noted that they all have a chip in the same place as the neural implant and can be controlled with the new hacker boxes introduced in 0.4, but otherwise go about their lives. Ulysses seems to want to control everything, but the Founder and Idriel (Who I still think is the Elven Queen from Calypso's story, or somehow related at least) want someone who won't. The Gates of Acheron the ten gems of doom open I believe is releasing all the NPCs from Ulysses control, restoring the worlds to their own natural order (possibly sealing them off, which would be reason for Calypso to not be a "main" girl since you can't end with her. Please prove me wrong here, Caribdis).
Actual last thing, still think Hyas should go to Dalia. She's earned it.
EDIT: Found this when you're logging into Eternum to get Calypso... Makes me want to go back through and try to see if there are any other single frame secrets... Good god, Caribdis, can this get any better?
I'm just gonna keep adding to my own wild theories here for anyone interested.
Replaying the game, Caribdis hides so much in the tiny instances that I'm only just finding. The chapter-ends with the flashes for MC hide a lot each time (0.1 shows Benjamin, Thanatos, Idriel, the Founder, and an Ion Praetorian with different eyes, or at least I think they look different, 0.2 shows some sort of weird russian basement wherein MC meets his doppelganger then there's like a tornado of blood and the doppelganger is gone? Will update as the playthrough gleans more).
Also, went on a weird tangent to look into a bunch of the Greek mythology that's Caribdis has used. The obvious being Calypso stuck in the Ogygia server by Ulysses (the Roman, and thus B*stardized, version of Odysseus), reverse of the greek myth. Each of the weapons of Atlas share a name with a greek titan's child (Specifically the Oceanids and Atlas), Hyas being a hunter, Dhione an oracle, and Calypso a sorceress, meaning Nova's comment that Calypso could be magical since Hyas is melee and Dhione ranged isn't crazy.
Spoilers for 0.6, Thanatos has Hyas.
Hyas' only achievement was getting killed while hunting lions, so I think we may see Thanatos hunt the MC and his harem only to be killed by his own prey. Dhione being an oracle, a being known for foresight and prophecy I think fits well with Nova, she's the obvious nerd-brain of the crew (They're all smart though, which honestly makes all of them best girl imo) with her eye being both a strength and weakness for her. Calypso's connections other than being magical and trapped I've drawn a blank. Random connection though, Calypso's blue flash being released is the same coloration as when Eternum connects to the MC, which is probably to do with Calypso's portal ability (possibly her ability being what allowed Ulysses to create the Exit Portals and connections to other worlds?) and trapping her in the box whilst having similar boxes be what frees NPCs from Ulysses' control makes her the crux of whatever is actually going on in Caribdis' story they're expertly weaving.
Again, will probably post again tomorrow as I go frame by frame through other sections...

Your games have honestly have been a breath of fresh air, I love gaming but in recent years I find myself falling out of love with more and more games, yet finding less and less games to fill that void. This left me with a growing resentment towards the state of games and even gaming itself.
However everytime I play one of your games I feel that resentment wash away and my love for gaming shine through once more.

Another 100/10 game, amazing sex scenes(tho the camera moving by itself is kinda annoying to me), amazing and captivating story. Expected boobs and sex but got loneliness and depression(not really, I knew what to expect from Once in a lifetime). Can't wait for more, keep up the good work!
