Very cool, I love the transition between cleaning the painting and being whisked away inside it. The second painting was my favorite. I know the dev said this was made right when AI art was just starting out so it looked a lot more interesting/surreal/bizarre then, and I can definitely say if I played it around then I would have loved the strange art more. Idk if I'll finish the third painting because my reaction time is just not fast enough to run away from whatever's happening lol, but the game is so unique even without finishing it

this was such a good game!!! i felt so many feelings playing it. i love the music and the ai art it's so creepy but in a good way if that makes sense. also my gf noticed the key names and found out what they mean. really nice easter egg. are there more easter eggs in the game?
Some small easter eggs of sorts include the dialogue from the doll after helping the boy move on, which is "thank you" in Swedish, and Charon having a bit of dialogue that hints at the true nature of the protagonist if you talk to him right before ending the game.

the music is incredible and atmospheric, and I really think you used the abstract nature of early AI art extremely well, this game truly is the exception to the rule, I think I'm going to be coming back to play this game every now and then just for how great it is, the stories of the characters were very meaningful and I enjoyed learning about them.
I wish there was an after play (like in the books after word) about where the people who moved on went and also who Charon really was and maybe a little more lore... But over all Im head over heels for this game and cant wait for more!! <33

i finished the game after so long, it's just as amazing as the cohabitation one. I love it. The art, the mystery, and the music omg. Also, are these guys in the same kind of universe as cohabitation??
Great construction dramaturgically and funny and heartfelt writing, I was fully engaged and absolutely got jumpscared by the monster. Where you lost me is the AI-art, for me it takes me out of it, I cant see the image as anything but the art-references I recognize (ex Francis Bacon) hacked up and reassembled. I would much rather see an actual artist take on the concept. No hate, I just think you have talent that is obscured by the AI.
The next game will be made without it - this was made at a time when AI art had just released and had an interesting uncanny look -- now that it seeks to just look the same as human art it is less interesting and more nefarious. For ethical and aesthetic reasons I will not be using it in future projects!
probably because it's the same engine and they're both saved in your browser's cookies, though I would be interested to see what happens when you load that save lmao
