It was a bug that got introduced at the last minute when I tried to add the autosave after each room. I never bothered to fix it, and It's not going to be fixed for a while.... but it will be fixed...
oh k thx i just figured it out 2 secs after commenting this anyway. its a good game! just cant go thru one of the levels but besides the exaggerated gore i like it a lot! :)
I'm not sure if it's the game or just my keyboard, but the dive controls seem incredibly finicky. I only managed to pull it of once in ten minutes of trying to get through the tutorial. How close together do I need to press the two, or is there a specific order of inputs to get it to work?
update: it works completely fine when I'm going backwards and to the left, but not forwards/right?? I think this might just be a keyboard issue on my part
Try to prevent scope creep, make many small projects where you try only a few new things at once. You're not going to end up with any amazing final product, but building up your skills is what's important.
Join lots of jams, I personally prefer shorter ones because it will show you what you need to prioritize in order to actually release a project on time.
Maybe when changing your skin, It kinda goes out into 3rd Person to show what skin you are wearing? (also maybe making an option to play in 3rd person and/or 1st person?)
hello my friend! This game was Super Cool!! Me and my other friend found this game on Youtube randomly and he recomended it to me. Dont listen to the Flushrd guy, I really liked the bullets originating from the gun muzzle, you're Right About the skill curve thing! That was Awesome in my opinion. Also the Graphics are fine, they are just like the original cartoons, but in 3D!!!! What I would like maybe is more moves, like Kicks and slides and maybe using props laying around (like bottles and stuff!)! Also would be better to able to disable the Timer in Top Left Corner, but Not important! Also would be a little mroe comfortable to have some kind of sound or visual aid in the HUD where the new wave approaches, otherwise you might get killed atleast once in a level when playing it for the first time, but that also may be me being a SCRUB!!! :DD We are Waiting for more levels and updates!! Go for it my friend, this game ROCKS!! Best of luck!!!!!!!

I learned programming and game design on scratch. I made a game with that costume as the main character. I actually have an earlier incarnation of this game on there at https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/424993474
why does the game look blurry and pixelated when in full screen? using latest version called speedrunner build. BTW this pixelation didnt happen on the newgrounds version but the newgrounds version lagged which was weird cuz i have a 4060. but the downloadable version doesnt lag but it has worse pixelated graphics. why?
I don't know what the problem would be. I would guess that toggling fullscreen on and off might help, but otherwise, that may be a problem with being unable to set the game's resolution directly.
ok, so you run through the game and rip through grunts, leaving bodies everywhere. empty guns and crap, but after you complete the level, you get the chance to go through it again as a janitor, picking up empty guns and cleaning up (which is already a mechanic) and picking up bodies, like viscera cleanup. example:
just a idea. but i think it would a very good mechanic.
i feel like it would just be cool, seeing as you have the feature to pick up and throw guns, plus it would kinda be like in hotline miami where you have to walk back through the level when you are done.
I actually forgot that janitors that would show up in rooms you previously cleared out got scrapped. I had a mop model and a couple animations made, but never got around to it

There's a button in the pause menu, you can also use alt + enter if you're using the standalone.

It's most reliable to hit c + space bar at almost the exact same time.

also You might Want to remove The "DoNotShip" folder in Releases! Its got your key token And Windows information! Maybe more!!!

- Really good ideas.
- Visuals are obviously not a primary focus but they're still a bit lackluster imo.
- Combat is fairly fun.
- Movement is good enough for a simple game like this.
- Only issue I stumbled upon is that hipfire is pretty janky. Not really sure how it works. (I couldn't shoot a guy at point blank range without ADS)
Overall good execution, but I'd try to polish the game a little bit. Still, I really enjoyed playing it, looking forward to your other projects! :D
